Luangpor Chah and Luangpor Sumedho are the two monks who helped me change my life. I will remain forever grateful to them. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say I love them and try to honour them daily with my practice. Because every now and then, my husband has a little ego attack and we both end up laughing at our nonsense self, because it makes no sense, other than life has blessed us to regonise life teasing us together, it’s not personal, it’s just the way it is, at that given moment. Love holiday of the heart, yes my mind is attaching to another visit to Amaravati ( my youngest child ids grown up, so he’s to old to bring to a childrens camp.) so l guess l’,l have to bring my loving husband instreead, l tease him regularly by asking him “when are you going to grow up.? When he has a little hissy ego trip, yes wouldn’t you know, it’s always my fault.interesting as we both spent time living in groups , with people who were very different, in beliefs, myself during nursing student trading and my husband on board a navy ship, as a engineer. Both careers were identical in the sense that you lived in dormitories, within the confines of hospital and navy vessel, you were on 24 hour call, both did unsociable working hours, in challenging conditions. We found Amaravati stay many years ago, had many similar restraints, of our past careeers. Basically it works well when everyone becomes mindful. (We both did breakfast cooking on Amaravati camps. That was the easy joyful part, the challenge was meeting our own child’s needs, within a community setting. Meta to everyone 😘🙏👋🙏🙏🙏
I don't like how the other monks are seated at the front. They should be seated at the very back to encircle the attendants. It's distracting for the audience.
Monks are not supposed to be in closed proximity to regular people especially women. You have to learn to let go of your likes and disliked, detached yourself from your own universe. If you don’t know Buddhist rules and regulations then you should learn/research before you make a comment.
