Lived there for 9 years! So glad to have moved away from here. Schools are horrible and traffic is a nightmare!! Most people live out on the east side b/c it is more affordable, but if you live in Elgin and Manor and commute to Austin... it is horrible!!!!
Most people in the Austin region live on the north or west side suburbs actually. The south side is rapidly filling in now. The east side of the region is more affordable, less affluent or educated, is majority Hispanic unlike the other sides (but still diverse) and is much more spread out and sparsely populated though it is growing steadily. Most of the east side of the Austin metro area is really exurban or just barely suburban and much is still rural.
Thanks for the video i might be moving out there sometime soon never been there before just gotta find me a job there first before moving. I'm from Robstown near Corpus Christi, Tx #heavy equipment operator in road construction
@@RD-wy5dj its all personal preference. manor is more liberal and accepting of others. imo. i recommend getting a feel for the neighborhood first that way your not stuck somewhere you dont wanna be.
