I like that ever since animate dead came out, the general attitude towards pvm switched from optimal dps to just doing whatever’s comfortable for you.
about time....when i started, the way of thinking of the average pvmer made 0 sense to me most times...
@@deentje92using tank gear before was ultra troll. The new tanking armor and options are so overpowered that they allow you to do more damage just by freeing up mental space.
It's not that "people just changed their mind" it's that the game literally changed and also power armor isn't as good anymore.

Can confirm. Zuk is do-able with cryptbloom legs, gano poncho, obsidian helm and boots, cywir wand and ancient lantern.
I find the only problem with zuk is that insta kill, once u get around his mechanics it's just a matter of overcoming that ko

Dude, that is actually SUPER awesome that you make your own music for your videos. That’s something I’ve always wanted to do for my own videos/montages when I get a PC setup. But much respect to you man, that’s seriously freaking cool I never knew you made the music! 💯🔥
It just dawned on me that I was thinking "but how am I supposed to get an ancient magic defender?" then realized "oh yeah, during franks free deaths I learned how to solo nex finally. I can go get that right now!" If this can make Raksha possible, I'll give it a go.

After ages of being scared of pvm, I've literally gotten the urge to get back into the game, go for logs, learn manual and try harder bosses thanks to you, other youtubers and friends that still play and reference your content for pointers on getting better.
RuneScape pvm is incredibly easy. The problem most people have is having a fluid setup to where you can easily use your abilities and interface without thinking too much. That and just memorizing the bosses movesets. Mechanically, it’s one of the easiest games to master. So I’d suggest, if you play other games, maybe setup keybinds to be similar to those so your muscle memory isn’t hindered? Also one of the RPG styled mice, with the number pads on the side, would be incredibly useful.
@@TheSCPStudio If this is easy to master I'd hate to think what you consider hard, I've played quite a few mmo's and RS 3 pvm gave me the most hassle. Still does. I can't decide between the 3 styles got all 3 in the 90s now. Decent gear, and still I still can't come close so the damages seen in some guides.
@@davevd9944 again, that just comes down to your knowledge of the game, skills, and your ability to use those skills.
Mechanically speaking, RS is VERY easy because of the limitations of the tick and tile system. For example for Araxxor, when he cleaves, you can click away immediately but STILL be in the animation and not get hit because you clicked away. In other games you’d have to perform a frame perfect dodge and avoid the animation altogether. There’s not usually a sense of ‘urgency’ in RS pvm unless you make a mistake or don’t understand the mechanics.
If you want an actual hard PVM challenge, try doing Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC bosses. Quite literally some of the hardest bosses ever designed. Once you get used to fast paced games like that and understand RS fundamentally and have good muscle memory, bosses are very chill.
That being said, just being ‘in the 90s’ doesn’t make you eligible for being good at pvm. There are lots of nuances in RS pvm that add up. Like you can use the Maniacal Aura for 10 percent extra magic damage and combo that with curses for another 10% and add even more with things like Vulnerability, which is also 10% or the Berserkers Fury Relic which allows you to do more damage the lower your life points are. Lots of PvM isn’t simply about having good enough skills or high level weapons.
This video is a must watch for anyone trying to learn pvm in rs today. Practicing bossing this way will give people the confidence to eventually start chipping away at their PRs.

Tbh, I havent started using animate dead till recently, and I usually dont except for zuk. But overall the tips and tricks, and general info you provided has helped me get to the point where I can now kill telos. Took 2 years to get this confident with pvm. Thank you

I've been struggling with PvM aswell and I've gotten comfortable using Revo+ while manually pressing my thresholds and using prayer switch, but still struggle to stay alive during Vindicta and Araxxor and just lost interest in PvM ever since. I'm reconsidering after watching this video.

im 4 kc today at zuk...first three i struggled like hell with sirenic/dual bis perk asc/etc...today i bought dual cywir and perked some seasingers and holy shit what a difference in overall survivability! I thought the dps checks would be harder with mage, but its not bad at all!

Thanks man, nice Video.. I am struggling with many Bosses even though my Ranged Gear is good enough (no GR but Ascensions+AoS+Sirenic Armor) Now I am thinking about grinding a lot of Croesus to get the Tank Armor and make the Bossing more easy for me.
Is it worth it to make the defensives abilities like reflect in a Action Bar with Revo++ or do you think I have to time it more and use it manually?

I'd probably keybind the defensive but if you gonna revo your dps rotation there is nothing stopping you just putting the defence abilities on

100% Telos used to terrify me but I can camp it now and just got my first 130% enr kill with this setup pretty easily, and even managed another Ambassador kill (the hardest thing at this point is making sure I don't get 1-shot by the 3 beams coming out landing right on top of me...) Between this and using the hellhound (both together can be overkill but effective!) I am burning through SO MANY less sara brew flasks and sailfish combo eating entire yaks on my bossing.

probably not, magic players will just whine that they arent on top. meanwhile melee crying in the corner wondering what their supposed to do since bleedscape is shit

@@CrankedDT I mean the new Abyss stuff is actually pretty good IMO. I feel like Melee can tank really well now, the only problem it has is legit not having range and even the weapons that have range often times screw you over by making you run into melee range.
I think Melee needs a range stat on most end game weapons with an AoE stat as a side effect. Not having to be point blank is such a huge upside to Range and Mage when they do basically better damage. I mean we could also use some more efficient thresholds/ultimates because melee generates the most adrenaline but is one of the slowest to dump it efficiently.

@@javierhuizar4207 That doesn't solve dual wielding. If that's the approach we would need massive buffs to dual wield DPS because right now 2H is not that far behind dual wield in single target DPS.
would using a blood reaver be better than a ripper? I'm not sure of the DPS difference, but I've heard the reaver damage increases as you heal, and since you're camping soul split and eating, maybe even using blood barrage, maybe it does more dps?

You'd have to get past the dps checks so this type of gear wouldn't work there. At least need t90s

I don`t have much gold , my equipment is mediocre at best , and a lot of my skills are sadly lacking . But it`s all good . =) I have a question . In your on screen display , at the bottom center where it shows , I believe , different skills . How do i get my screen to look that way . Or alternatively: using cywir wand (t80 dmg), is ice blitz better as same dmg to ice barrage?

So damn confusing, this is reason I am not doing PVM. I remember playing EverQuest, with 200 players killing 1 boss, it wasn’t as confusing as this!

I have almost all of the Seasinger stuff unlocked, and curious if it's worth it to fork out big cash for Cryptbloom?

I definitely noticed a difference at zuk after I went from sea singer to cryptbloom
The bonus of crypt isnt that much higher but crypt also gives a passive boost to your defenses depending on the unmber of pieces worn. So if you wear 3 pieces of crypt you have something like +20% defense on magic and 15% on meele or so. 4 Pieces gives a damage boost on earth spells and 5 pieces gives a passive buff that lets flanking allies hit harder on the target.
Not sure about the percentages but thats about the benefit of using this 2Bil armour over the free Seasinger gear (which is absolutely fine for tankscape imo)

Would this work against Astellarn? I can't finish ED2 because I can't get past him, I've died over 30 times already since I can't finish him before I either run out of food or get unlucky with the neutron star.

You could listen to me and make it so spells on action bars will interact like vuln bombs :). No more right clicking
Can a nox staff + gando + occasional delibitate do the trick while camping soul split?
Would it be possible to automate this on a revolution bar, or is the timing too critical. I know you said most just use as soon as they are off cooldown. I play on mobile mostly, so I reduce as much manual work as possible.
This works for sure, you would have to find a bar that works though. For example if you put reflect second and debilitate third on your bar, after sunshine, you would reduce the damage refelected back as Well. So timing is An issue with Revo++
It would probably work at some bosses but as koen said its gonna be difficult to get all the timings right.
Revo is fine for the dps, you would prob want to use defensive manually though.

Do you lose the animate dead effect when switching to power armor? I'm struggling with zuk a lot and thought about bringing elite tectonic for dps checks and ganodermic for other stuff. Great video as always. But seems like camping defendives wouldn't be that great at zuk because he destroys you with bleeds and stuff
The spell effect stays until the duration runs out of until you die :)
Switching gear is fine but you won't get any reduction without tank gear on. The spell doesn't clear though.

Also wondering how the hell people have enough adrenaline for sunshine before the zuk fight starts
It will stay active upon death as well fyi. I use it literally every day…exactly what you’re saying is exactly what you should do. Once you get that first codex drop go buy cryptbloom and then zuk is cake. I use inspiration for adrenaline help, and if you two cycle har aken you can fill adrenaline up on the second half so you’ll be full for zuk

Dps wise fsoa will be more for sure yeah.
But the defender camp shown in the video is just an easy way to take advantage of defence abilities to make bosses much easier lol

I should have worded that better. Basically will the extra dps make up for shield defense in terms of extra healing . I'm currently stuck on chasing the defender and getting t92 wand or going after the staff

If killing the boss faster will just mean taking less damage haha.
I'd suggest getting yourself the fsoa if you were deciding, both are worth eventually though :)

It would probably help yeah, debilitate wouldn't be as useful though. But spamming reflect and devotion and camping a shield would definitely help reduce damage:)

If you aren't using superior seasingers then no, because you can't use perks on seasingers. I'd get gano and perk it :)

It would work but you will still need to deal with some mechanics like bleeds, goloms and the insta kill etc
The problem with these videos is often the creator just telling you to use all these different abilities without explaining what they are and when to decide to use each
The best way is usually literally off cool down but not all stacked together. As I said in the video :)
People do still have to somewhat think for themselves though or this video would be 50 mins long and it's kinda impossible for me to tell you when to exactly use every ability lol

Dps check? Kinda reason why revo++ should never exist. Instead of learning about dps, they get free hand and then complain when they try to release zuk or pre nerf raksha.
I feel like you rushed a lot of info that was needed when played i don't want to watch your video 4 times to understand what your doing. this video gave me anxiety i have watched a lot of your videos i just dislike this one.. even though I'm going to thumbs up your lucky UA-cam has a playback that slows it down lol i been playing rs on and off for 20 years and the defense ability's are one of the things i have just ignored how to use. and now the person i am trying to learn from speaks 500 words a sec i havent played in a few months and i was about hop back in after this video try something new thanks. but no need to be speed racer slow it down put text on your screen when your talking about how to use the ability's or pictures of the ability's your using when your showing us. would help us dumb members understand this. dumb members i mean my self.
