The way Eve talked about life “not having a specification” and so you don’t know how to go about life is so accurate. As students in the UK we spend so long working towards mark schemes and deadlines that when we get to the “real world” it can be tricky to navigate without those pointers.
Honestly whenever someone asks me about my degrees and jobs and think I had a plan, I always say ‘I planned to do veterinary science, got rejected, ended up doing biochemistry on a whim as a back up, and I’ve been making it up ever since’. It took me to Thailand for an internship, a PhD, to Oxford University, now I’m working at UCLA. My dad calls me a gypsy, I’ll take it
I loved this interview. I have watched Eve Bennett's academic journey from GCSE to graduating from Oxford. 🎉
Good interview. Watched Eve for a while and find her very down to earth. Talking about the other study tubers, she was so the one who should have got in over the other two I can think of.
As she said they are all doing amazing things now! Best wishes all around :) Glad you enjoyed the interview, see you around!
Oh my god eve is so relatable 😭😭😭💕

As far as im concerned credit cards encourage overspending. I prefer to save for what i want or go without. Im goi g yo australia soon and i saved up for it. I could easily have ised a credit card and then pay it off with interestonly to find i have paid almost double
Are you going to use your recent Liverpool footage anytime soon?
Hey, which footage are your referring too?:)
@@talktwenties It was in Liverpool, UK around May 29ish
how did she get to go to a state school event if she went to a grammar school
Grammar schools are state schools, they are not private, they are selective state school so you have to pass an entrance exam but are free
some grammar schools are state but have entrance exams and some are fee paying
