"Should I paint these cool dragons with that awesome red color scheme?" Was there ever an easier question to answer? I really look forward to see them!
Yeah I agree. I have really lent into that way of painting. I think it’s a much more beginner friendly way to paint as well. The style allows for little mistakes to not even be noticeable.
Oh heck yes! I love seeing more aos on the channel. This video had such a chill vibe throughout the painting tutorial and the absolute banger of a reveal at the end was great. I've been painting models for nearly two decades but I've never seen someone use dry brushing as a type of foundation for later highlighting. I'm definitely going to steal that technique for my next set of models. Love this video and I can't wait to see what you can do with those dragons in this beautifully grim art style.
Thank you so much. I try to make my videos as relaxing as I can while still trying to stay engaging. So comments like this mean a lot. It’s just something I found helpful when I was painting up some random models. Glad it’s a helpful technique for you too. I cannot wait to get started with them honestly.
That's badass man. The grand reveal was so cool. Such a high quality production you have going here. And as a fellow Norn Irishman it's great to hear that accent! Feels like I'm back home!
Thank you Martin. The stormcast had a rough start in AoS lots of hate around them. But I think they have managed to make what could have been a pretty boring army into one that’s actually interesting.
Love this! Made me excited to go paint and just to try some stuff out. A reminder that it doesn’t have to be paint by numbers and you can let your creativity flow. Banger of a reveal too dude. Epic job 👌 And also, YES you should absolutely paint those Stormdrake Guard in the new scheme!
Thank you sir. Ohh dude that’s the best feeling. When a video makes you want to paint! I take that as a huge compliment so thank you. Ahh man I was so happy with how that reveal came out. Dragons it is then.
I would love to see some storm drakes in this scheme!! This is just a much better version of how I first painted my stormcast, I have since changed my scheme completely but I love how yours look! Bastian is so EPIC!!!
Thank you so much. The lore of them is so cool. The fact they end up as these cold efficient beings over time is chilling and brings more significance to when they do die.
Super nice! I plan to pick up the spearhead box soon, do you have close up pictures of the other models you did in this scheme.. I can see them in the background but they´re a bit small to really use as a reference. Love it!
Isn’t it! Some other characters that make it even more interesting as well. One of the models in the video has photographic memory. It’s their job to put the ones lose their minds to rest permanently.
Its great to find a paint scheme that makes you want to paint! 5 years in the hobby Iv unfortunately only had that feeling with an Underworlds warband and 2 Killteams, one was on commission haha. They arent even for armies I play or care enough about to start new armies haha. My starter army which is my Necrons are easy to get through which is enjoyable but not for the paint scheme. My Space marine army, while having an awesome paint scheme, are a drag to paint because I added a lot of detail to the models haha. I actually enjoy creating and painting their bases more, so that keeps me going lol. Hopefully since joining 4th ed AoS, my Sylvaneth and StD armies will give me that feeling again
@@morewarhammer yeah its definitely a foot slog through mud. I've thought about doing a SCE army several times since 3rd edition, but I just havent found the right inspiration yet. Im sure itll come though. The same way damn near everyone has a Space Marine army, evnetually everyone will own a SCE army at some pont lol
As always amazing work dude! Loving the grim dark colour scheme you’ve gone for! Really think the grimdark scheme goes really well with the new sculpts, which GW have smashed! Do I want Stormcast now?👀🤣
Awesome paint job! May I ask, how do you apply the Blood Angels Red Contrast on the cape to make it so smooth? Straight from the pot? Contrast medium or water?
@@morewarhammer Yes and in that video it explained most of the paint scheme but some stuff isn't explained like how to do the prosecutor's wings or the fur on some of the models. If you could do a summary on each of the models you have done that would be so helpful. Looking at all the models each one looks incredible
I was going to be I have yet to find a good way to strip them that doesn’t take up a huge amount of time and effort. I always could see that the paint was thin enough that I wasn’t going to lose any of the details.
I really like the lore behind them. I have to do a. It more reading but I think the concept is cool. The new range is really great looking. Definitely a nice update from the older squatcast models.
"Should I paint these cool dragons with that awesome red color scheme?" Was there ever an easier question to answer? I really look forward to see them!
Haha I like to keep things simple. I am excited to start them.
I like the grimdark colour schemes. They just seem more like what they would be like IRL if that makes sense!

That was a bloody lovely update. Here was me thinking "that original scheme is great, don't ruin it" and lo and behold, smashed it!
Haha ahh dude thank you so much. I did love the old scheme too. But this one just levelled it up. Really appreciate the comment man.

Absolute top video! Making me want to pick up a box of the skaventide! Proper decent paint job on the stormcast!
That is the paint scheme I am working on as well for my storm cast. Thank you for the video and tips!
No way that’s so cool. I am glad I could help out a bit.
This came out great, awesome job!
Cracking paint job! The cinematic turn table shot was stunning! Thanks for the video and hope you crack on with the dragons 👍🏼
Ahh thank you dude. I was so happy with how that worked out. It came out better than I expected honestly. I shall be moving on to them soon I think.
That is glorious. I love this scheme.
And I learnt something too, I didn't know anything about the storm cast eternals.
Thank you Martin. The stormcast had a rough start in AoS lots of hate around them. But I think they have managed to make what could have been a pretty boring army into one that’s actually interesting.
A mighty fine video as per usual sir. Your painting is absolutely top tier!

@@morewarhammer I really enjoy your approach to showing how you paint, very approachable and incredible results!

Would love to se the dragons in this new scheme!
That makes at least 2 of us haha
You have given me some ideas,i just got the skaventide boxset and love the paint scheme you used.

that spinning transition at the end tho ....masterwork ...another cracking vid

Always enjoy your videos mate!
Thank you so much Caleb! I really appreciate that. Comments like this make all the technical issues totally worth it.
Cranking out the videos now. Hope to see more this often.
Thank you man. We will need to get a battle report for the channel soon.
there should always be dragons, they'll look insnae in this scheme
Thank you so much. I am going to staring thinking about the dragon skin.
The original was dope, but really like the new design. Makes it seem just so much more brutal.
Thank you. I agree I liked the old one. But the model was just too cool to not bring into my new army.
May I know how you did the bases on your storm cast? I’m looking to do a grayish dark base like yours.
Awesome paint job! May I ask, how do you apply the Blood Angels Red Contrast on the cape to make it so smooth? Straight from the pot? Contrast medium or water?
Yes paint the dragons
Are you still going to make a tutorial on how you painted the other stormcast you have already done in the new paint scheme?

Uff. Love the grimdark scheme *happy nerd noises*
It works so well for this range doesn’t it.

I love Stormcast but like all ranges there are hits and misses. For me they are mostly hits. Plus cool backgrounds.
Agreed they have really knocked it put of the park. The lore is very cool as well.
What wash is wildwoods??
It’s actually a contrast. I was so surprised at how good it looks.
Wow i love it
