The maximum mana gained by the pengobble and the winter spirit as a combo alone is given by this equation: y = (2p + 4w)/(2^(n-1)) + (2p + 4w)/(2^(n-2)) + (2p + 4w)/(2^(n-3)) ... and so on until you have as many terms as you have had round of this combo working, where p is the level of the pengobble, w is the level of the winter spirit, and n is the number of rounds since setting up the combo. The most mana you can achieve by this method alone is 35, since 35/2 = 17.5, then rounded down is 17, and then adding 18 for the level 3 WS and pengobble puts you back up to where you started.
Good math 👍 When the pengobble is at lv3 the mana potions become very tasty. There were a few runs where I had double winter spirit stacking onto 1 pengobble too. Feel free to calc them as well!
@GroundedSAP oooh, nice. That you make the numerator(s) (4p + 4w + 4s), where w is the level of the first WS, and s is the level of the second. 2p becomes 4p because the Pengobble gets to trigger twice, this means you can double the amount of mana acquired in a single turn by this combo alone, adding up to 36 mana for every turn, if all units were level 3. It would only take 2 turns to get to 50 mana, and since you're getting more mana every turn than the 25 you lose every turn, you can have a 50 mana Pengobble every turn.
@GroundedSAP I'm fairly certain the most mana gained via this method is double the amount you gain every turn... or at least you get infinitely close to double.
i think pengobble is a great unit, especially with roc and kitsune, no creative but definitely pretty powerful. ive taken it multiple times in different weeklies. Also a big fan of winter spirit, i think there wasnt easy enough ways to get permanent mana (it was literally just the 2 potions), which gave me alot of problems with getting the chimera tokens achievements
Love the 'Grounded Approved' bit!
🏅
So good!!

Nice. Yeah I think when I was waffling about how easy it was to get 50 mana it was with the double winter spirit going 😅

Agree on both counts
How can you pronounce "cuddle toad" so well? For some reason my brain defaults it to tuddle coad 😂
Ha! It doesn't appear in vids too often so maybe I would start getting it wrong if I had to say it more frequently 😅
Fabulous team. Love to see it and the grounded approved opponent
Made me want to do firefly albatross...
@GroundedSAP you did iguana albatross flycatcher about a year ago right?
I've done it more than once I think, maybe with old wolverine
@GroundedSAP ahh yes
Grounded's masochism increases a little bit each day.
It's a problem 😬
Elsa is the ice queen bee
Their make a third movie
Both winter Spirit and queen bee are very cool units, i like both
Yeah they're great
hmm that flounder wears a hat 🕵, does that date this?
Don't worry, hatless flounder has been in the recording cycle for a lot of games now lol
Ice spirit might be a lil too strong
Doesn't seem that OP to me, at least for now...
