I’m in the “excited for Snake-Eyes, not too keen on the others” camp. But I also tell myself this is the first salvo in the GI Joe relaunch. There’s lots more product to come, and I think some of that new product will be geared more to older fans than these, which seem to be more for people new to GI Joe.
I’m “kinda” excited? I’d be tempted to pick up Scarlett and give her a slight repaint. And perhaps try and find a proper gun for Road Block. But the first figures in a new line? Not a great start. But given how long we’ve waited for a 6” Joe line, I’m still living in hope.

From what I heard several months ago there was confirmation that the wave is Snake Eyes, Duke, Scarlet, Roadblock and Destro. I found the images of roadblock and his accessory disappointing. But I do like the others. Personally, I can't wait. I started collecting Joes in 1982 and I've loved them ever since with some exception. Anyway I've been starving for new Joes since they were last at TRU with the 50th anniversary line. I would never believe what some where saying that the line is dead and have always remained vigilant at its return. I'm glad it's coming back and I can't wait for what's to come.
Totally agree. It's a big pass from me. All they had to do was stay true to the character designs like they do with Black Series and Legends. They didnt do it, so I'm out.

I know it’s heresy to say it, but I love the 6-inch figures. All the way back to 2000 with the Spider-Man Legends line that morphed into the Marvel Legends line.
I’m glad that we have 6-inch Star Wars and I’m a fan of that line and I’m loving the new G.I. Joe 6-inch range. I hope to collect these.

I pre ordered the Snake Eyes from Hasbro Pulse 49.99 . Scarlett figures sold out almost immediately. Figures. Duke and Roadblock are 19.99. I wish they would make Cobra Commander in the first run. I think they are gonna make the Scarlett scarce to drive up the price. I do like the Snake Eyes. I did collect quite a few Sigma 6 figures , not a real popular series , but I believe they were 6 inch..or 8 inch...I'll have to check, lol. I think vehicles for the new 6inch figures will be quite expensive. Maybe a Vamp mk1 would be nice, or a Hiss tank for Cobra. I just hope Hasbro doesn't ruin it by letting corporate big shots dictate designs and corner cutting. Could you Imagine a 14ft USS Flagg?...lol

First off, personally, if they were aligned more in the look of ARAH, I would love to see Baroness, Airborne, Spirit, Firefly, and Major Bludd. Onto what I've seen revealed so far, I am trying to understand why SnakeEyes' weapons seem more aligned with his classic releases, and then we have something like this Road Block with a weapon looking like an extra heavy rifle from the Mandalorian series. There were some other leaked photos of Snake Eyes that were making the rounds about a week ago that showed another character that appeared to resemble Lt. Falcon or Flint, but is nowhere to be seen now. It was just briefly shown next to Snake Eyes in the photos.
I think that there could be some good coming out of this series, and the art direction on this is far better than what I had feared would be otherwise based on that upcoming mobile game, "War On Cobra" which looks more like Disney Infinity sort of stylings. As far as offerings, even the SW black series, or Mattel's MOTU Classics line evolved and improved as fans began to chime in and react to the offerings, to varying degrees of acceptance from the toy companies, so... who knows, maybe if enough people state that they want ARAH based "retro" versions, that is what we will eventually get.
@@manofaction1807 Honestly, they've grown on me more. And although I very much am impressed with Super7's line of cartoon accurate ones, these from Hasbro are getting better. I just recently saw the Baroness and Spirit figure sculpts, and while certainly modernized, I think they are hitting the right zones of updated and classic 80s level call backs. I think I'll not be collecting every one of them, but picking the ones that appeal to me. The recent BAT release is insanely great!
I would've preferred a 6" line of the characters in their original 1980's designs, starting with the 16 figures of the 1st wave.
I think the line will be amazing. I like you want Zartan, Storm Shadow, and would like to get a Destro.
Generally Hasbro 6” waves have been in 6 figure blocks. Star Wars Black is almost always 6 figures per wave. Marvel Legends are 6,7 or 8 depending on sub theme and Build a Figure. Typically 6 BAF parts and sometimes 1 or 2 extra figures with no BAF. I’m thinking that full version of Snake Eyes with all the accessories will be exclusive. But I will not be surprised if there is a more plain box retail version released alongside the others, without all the extras. Keeping Snake Eyes entirely a Pulse exclusive would piss off the customer base.
I really hope they make it all the way to making a Serpentor. Maybe the next wave will be an all Cobra wave. Cobra Commander, Destroy, Baroness and a Cobra Trooper maybe?
bringin back those great memories....UPDATE:just got back from Memory Lane ,& ,yea,not quite as pleased with the "updated" color of Scarlet,as you pointed out.i would have liked her hair to be ol skool style ,& a lazer -tweezer is no bad-ass weapon - no spent shells flyin ,just .. yeah,Snake-Eyes for sure.
Not as excited as yesterday, but excited enough to get them and repaint them, add a little weathering here and there, give Roadblock a proper machine gun and leave the sci-fi rifle to the power rangers or stormtroopers. Already pre ordered snake eyes, and for that i am really excited... it is been years in the waiting for a 1/12 scale G.I. Joe line, not what i was expecting nor wished for, but its a start, did not liked the packaging, to generic for my taste kinda like the figures, it is like if the designers where afraid to be too visually aggressive (hence the sci fi gun)... anyway, thanks a lot for the videos, be well and have a safe weekend, cheers! :)
Snake Eyes looks awesome, but the colour scheme on Scarlet looks as though it was inspired by a cartoon...

Want a Storm Shadow and Beach Head
I am stoked for a modern design of gi joe figures, I grew up with shows like renegade and the resolution movie and the classic show was way before my time, rest assured hasbro will do a vintage line after a year with the og looks to please everyone
Not pulsed by Hasbro! This is not an adult collectible, even though it is touted as one. This is a "safe" crossover line. A line that appeals to adults and non-adult fans of the IP. This is evidenced by Marvel Legends, produced by Hasbro. The adult collectible, adult oriented action figures are made by Mezco, and are called One:12 Collective. These figures, with excellent scaled soft goods and accessories, are the epitome of retail 1:12 action figures, for the price point. But, and I say but, they would not sell well at brick & mortar/sticks & bricks stores, i.e., Target and Walmart. Mezco creates a miniaturized 1:6 collectible.
Sure, this is better than not getting a 1:12 line, but the stylized weapon with Roadblock says it all!
Thanks for the info, Tony. I may preorder Snake Eyes, to go with my Sideshow 1:6 in the Detolf, but, until I see better, I will wait on the retro collection 3 3/4 line.
I'm happy to see them producing a 6-inch line, but I'd have much preferred a more realistic, 'operator' aesthetic, personally. And definitely real world weapons. I thought that was what they were going for when I saw Snake-Eyes, and Duke isn't *that* far from that look, but Scarlet and Roadblock look very cartoony.
I 💯% agree with the weapon choice for RoadBlock and really don’t understand why they didn’t go with the original costume. I didn’t care for the Scarlet now I did get Snake Eyes and it’s a Great figure. Duke was cool. I’d like in the next wave to see Storm Shadow, Spirit, Zartan, and Serpentor
I agree with you 100%, I’m not too impressed with the super high-tech 2020 looking costumes.… However I would pick up the snake eyes, a storm shadow, and a snow job if they ever make them!
Hopefully when 2020 rolls around, we'll get a 40th anniversary wave with retro versions of all these characters.
Lack of Cobra figures is glaring. I'm sure they'll come eventually.

I think it would of been good to have came out with 6 figures in the first line, the 4 Joes then a Cobra Commander(helmeted or hooded) and a VIper. If they just didn't have to add all of that gold with the red and light blue accents in it, it just seems out of place, and yeah Roadblock needs to be armed with something other than a rail gun
just buy a 6'in browning. all of them are gonna have laser blasters. if you watch the video up on pulse the designer called snakes Uzi a blaster. seems like they are going more sifi. when i get mine will will find a good 6' weapons replacement for them all.
I preordered Snake Eyes, he looks absolutely sick! still for $40 they could have given us a Timber, I like the sci-fi direction of the classified Joes, with the video game armor and laser guns, can't wait to see how wild the concept get with the cobras, I'm sure if this succeeds or fails we'll see classic 6 inch RAH joes down the line.
I wanted to support these new Joe's just not what I was expecting. I am getting Snake but that is all for now.
I can only imagine what they’ll do with Storm Shadow 🤔 I like the figures but would’ve like if they were closer to the original color scheme and looks, I know they want updated version but I’m thinking nostalgically so I would’ve loved a closer look to the originals 🤔

Honestly, I'm not thrilled with this line. Sure, adult collectors will probably love them, but I can't imagine my nephews ever playing with them. They're just too big. I have old beat-up Joes and Star Wars figures from the 80s and the kids love them. It's a shame that Hasbro doesn't seem interested in making toys that kids can play with (including vehicles).
Going to have to get a destro or cobra commander, cut it, and user it for a pilot figure for my rc plane kit "King Cobra" that I'm going to build next. Hell ya.
I'm thinking Snake Eyes in wave 1 but he might not have the extra hands and uzi. The retail version might have a laser gun type weapon more in line with Duke and Roadblock. The second wave will be full of Cobra figures and I think Gung Ho will be the only Joe in wave 2.
More interested in the 70's Adventure Team and would like to see those revived!
Same here! That would be awesome! Even with a couple exclusive AT vehicles! But...we're just dreaming. I think Hasbro would sooner just want to cash in on Fortnite style...they always just copy what's hot at the time.

Generally agree. Snake Eyes will definitely get my cash (where's Timber??). Roadblock's gun looks like a transformer gun. I'm sure there will be an aftermarket for a more realistic gun. I'm on the fence about Scarlet. Sculpt is good and accessories are good, but yeah, the color scheme seems a little too busy for my tastes. Can't wait for Cobra Commander and Torch!
Snake eyes is the only one in this range worth buying but I think a cobra trooper should be in there somewhere
Scarlett looks kind of like an X-Man in that outfit and Roadblock looks more like a Final Fantasy 7 figure, especially with that gun. The head sculpts are pretty nice though, pose-ability looks good. I think they were inspired by all the recent Marvel movies success, thus the super hero outfits. I wish they went much closer to the original outfits for these figures. I like Roadblock's 1st camo shirt much more than this one. They just need to get a little more back to the basic military outfits and less super hero. Those head sculpts looks really nice, Scarlett's face looks great i.m.o.
Duke did look better by the way, close to the original outfit. Also, Roadblock looks better with the mustache than beard but maybe that's a small quibble.
I will definitely grab a few figures from this line. I've already ordered my SnakeEyes figure. I'd love to see them make Stalker, Destro, Storm Shadow, The Crimson Twins, BAT's, Alley Viper, and Doc.
Cobra Soldier would be badass
More than likely snake eyes will get a retail release as well , all the extra accessories are the exclusive part. Knowing Hasbro they'll have more then the 4 for the 1st wave. Marvel legends have 7 figure wave. Hasbro will most likely due classic looks as the line goes on.
My guess: Wave 1: Snake Eyes(less accessories), Duke, Roadblock, Scarlett, Gung-Ho. Wave 2: Cobra Commander, Destro, Baroness, Alley-Viper, Storm Shadow(less accessories). Look for an SDCC exclusive Storm Shadow pre-order with something similar to the Pulse exclusive Snake-Eyes.

Interesting. Would be great to see the original Snake Eyes, Firefly, Recondo, Torpedo, Flash, and Rip Cord - just because they were my favorites as a kid. Happy for those planning to collect these!
I am not excited at all about this line to be honest. They feel like a departure from the realistic military aesthetic with hints of super-heroic feel and now look like futuristic Super-heroes with a tiny hint of military detail to them. When I saw the weapon that Roadblock SHOULD be packed with I said "he got it!". Thank you for this video. Much anticipated.

I agree. These look like the Fortnite figures. The faces just aren’t “real” looking.
I used to have almost every GI Joe. Eventually had to sell them because of trying to be a responsible adult. Definitely love the new Snake Eyes and Duke. I do like Roadblock’s figure, just not the gun. I do like Scarlett and the colors and I can see her and Sabine Wren in a crossover display, and I could always give her a backup Chewie bowcaster to replace the hand crossbow. And I think once more figures come out, the design choices will make more sense. Just gotta be more patient.

Roadblock needed a 50 cal or a M249 Saw not a Rail Gun, he was always one of my favourites but the gun is a really bad choice, I hope they don’t mess this line up. I am not really that keen on Scarlet either, lucky the Snakeyes show’s that this line has potential 👍
I like them, not crazy about the gold pant on the Roadblock and Scarlett, but the over all look I think is neat, and yeah I'm not liking Roadblocks's weapon either. Hopefully they'll do the classic looks as well. About your guess, I'm hearing that Snake Eyes will hit the stores, but not with the extra gear, but don't quote me on that, but you could be right about Gung Ho too. Anyway I picked up a pre-order on Snake Eyes and I'm excited for the future of my absolute favorite toy line as a kid.Thanks for the video Tony!
Toy Galaxy mentioned on Twitter that Snake Eyes would get a proper, wider release without the extra accessories.

Well , I pre ordered the Snake Eyes, but I think the other figures are not capturing the GI Joe style that I would prefer. I still think Hasbro is too reluctant to bring back military toys, especially GI Joe. The other figures look alot like they were trying to copy Fort Nite. Definately Fort night colors. Where is Scarlet's crossbow? Where are the realistic weapons? Hasbro continues to ignore fans and push a product nobody at least most of my circle will want. Give us the Classic para military figures first, then play around with the sci fi stuff. This company continues to be too progressive to ever make any money. There is no way they would ever make a figure with an M-60 or M-4, M-16 or even a Soviet AK 47...wont happen. They've been trying to kill this line forever. The movies have never hit the mark for the same reasons. I don't expect the Snake Eyes movie to be a home run either. It's really too bad for fans like you and I who have been starving for this product line to wake up! This just proves they're in a deep coma. I'll get the Snake Eyes...I'll wait on the rest. They need to give us what we want. Or don't.
The Hooded Cobra Commander exclusive or Destro gold helmet or Serpentor with flying chariot should be awesome..not a fan of the packaging for the 1st wave tho...Snake Eyes and Duke looking great tho
I love Snake Eyes and Duke but I'm not to crazy about the other 2. The guns kinda suck but I have no problem picking up some 6 inch scale guns eBay. I'm going to support this line because if it is successful I'm sure they will give us classic versions of our characters.
Maybe because I've missed the boat on a lot of my favorite runs, but I'm going to gobble these up before I'm left with regrets once they are no longer made.
I'd love to see Hawk, Flint, and Beachhead for the Joe's. I'd love to see the Drednoks, Scap-iron, Wild Weasel, and as many Vipers and specialized Viper variations as possible.

The guys making movies for GI Joe, dont understand that they need to model after the 1980's look. Its not Mission Impossible. It's GI Joe.
Snake Eyes and Duke look cool, because they're modeled after the 1980's line. But Scarlet and Roadblock look wack because they dont have the proper look. Its such a simple concept. Make us go crazy, bring back GI Joe the way it should be done.
I disagree in regards to Roadblock's 80s oufit only because that was modeled on the vietnam era uniforms. They have to give him an updated uniform to match the times....however...coma...I do agree that his current outfit is a terrible choice. But I agree with everything else you have stated....ESPECIALLY Roadblock's weapon. It looks like mini-railgun.
@@bat508 Actually that wasn't Vietnam era uniforms. They didn't have a uniform in 1980's GI Joe. He just had a camo tang top and like dark orange cargo pants. Which could be worn today in 2020, easy. Fashion designs hasn't changed much in the past half century, just mostly stitching, sizes and fittings. Right now, clothing fitting is like it was in the early 80's as compared to how it was in the 90's and early 2000's. Its very tight around the ankles, just like in 1982-85.
If you look back at the recent GI Joe movies, only one guy really stood out and looked pretty cool besides Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, who were based off their 1980's look. And that was General Hawk. And its because he was dressed exactly liked he looked in the 1980's. Brown leather jacket with camo cargo pants.
To say the look has to change, is only an assumption. GI Joe toys began to die out when they assumed they had to change the look, in the late 80's. And then it really died out in the early 90's when they drastically changed the look.
This is why people loved the original Predator movie. There's just something about super soldiers dressed all distinctively unique that really lures in the audience, because they look different than standard uniformed soldiers. It's not going to be an average war movie. They're elite super soldiers ready for action, if not already in action. And they certainly were dressed for action, so much action there's just no time to shine your boots.
First off I think there is gonna be more than 4. In some images of the boxed Roadblock and Scarlet you can see the top of the boxes. Roadblock is #01 and Scarlet is #05 so there's gonna be at least 5 and and I'm betting on 6 in total. As far as Snake Eyes goes he will be part of the regular release as well he won't be just an exclusive. I'm betting the exclusive will be the black and white packaging along with the weapon rack and extra weapons the regular version will just come with what is in his package and the box will be blue and have a color image of him like Scarlet and Roadblock.
As far as what I think of the figures I like them. If I had to rank them I'd go Snake Eyes, Duke, Scarlet and then Roadblock. The only issue I have is with Roadblock's gun. Like you, I want realistic weapons but I can live with getting some replacement weapons for him. I don't really have a problem with the color schemes, but that's just me.
You pretty much said everything I was thinking. Hopefully their won't be a long delay between waves so they can push those Cobra characters out.

Im not a GI joe fan per say. I haven't bought anything since Sigma 6. The new line might be easier to see and manipulate. That's why i like the star wars 6 inch line.

I agreed when I first saw these, but having picked up Destro, Gung Ho, and Roadblock, they are pretty cool. The guns suck but they are easily replaced.
for the Joes should add Lady Jaye, Flint, Shipwreck. and for Cobra -- Cobra Commander, Destro, Zartan, the Baroness, the twins Tomax and Xamot , Firefly and an exclusive Storm Shadow
What I am disappointed about is the fact that they are too big to fit into my vintage vehicles since they're 6 inches and not 3 3/4 inch figures! Also I own those Vintage 1985 vehicles of the Awe Striker and Snowcat along with vintage 1985 figures of Alpine, Crankcase, Bazooka, and Frostbite!
I pre-ordered Snake Eyes on Hasbro pulse he's definitely a keeper. I pre-ordered the lot of five from Big Bad Toy Store. I'm still on the fence Because I haven't seen the other figures yet But I haven't put money down so I can cancel if I let down .

I think they do modern designs and retro designs but retro ones will be in future after the movie is done and well if the do well
The Joes in this line look too sci-fi and that always puts me off whenever the franchise does this. If they re-release them with proper weapons and a bit more realistic military look about them I'll get them. As it is I'll just get Snake Eyes and Cobra Commander depending how he looks.
Hasbro lost the opportunity to bring classic to 6" format like always Hasbro did lost opportunity.! Scarlet and Roadblock are totally missing opportunity. As collector I totally disappoint with this figures.

Agreed. Huge mistake not to lead with the classics. It tells me that real GI fans aren’t making big decisions for this toyline.

I think they're testing the waters. With Hasbro's successful body molds from ML and Lightning Collection. They have experience and a good idea how decent or great articulation should be. Hoping for StormShadow and would definitely get exclusive if it included many weapons like Snake Eyes.
I think Snake Eyes figure looks great but I'm not too impressed with Scarlett and Road Block. I would like to see a Flint figure released in the first wave and I would like them to do a Cobra Crimson Guard figure.

I'm right there with you. I was excited for this line. Snake Eyes looked great, but after seeing the others I was really disappointed. I was hoping that they were going to use their iconic looks for the characters. To me these look like a mix between Overwatch and G.I.Joe with sci-fi weapons. Sadly I'll be passing on these now.
I am diggin’ them all! Definitely some room for improvement on the weapons (‘specially Roadblock). I preordered Snake Eyes, but will need to see the other three in person...
I can't wait for Snake Eyes to ship! Ordered him yesterday and hoping they do Storm Shadow justice as well. I have a devil's due publishing poster of Snake Eyes that matches him well. Hooded Cobra Commander would be nice too.
I suspect that Snake Eyes will have 2 variants, with and without the rack of weapons. Basic and deluxe if you will.
Question one: does Scarlett have a weird bit of exposed torso just below her bust or is it just a weird photo/color issue?
Second issue. I don't like the Roadblock weapon. Good thing for Takara's Little Armory weapon kits.

100% agree. I don’t know why companies always want to fix what is not broken. Besides Snake Eyes very much a let down. Seeing the accessory they gave Road Block makes me wonder if the designers are even true Joe fans.
S Myers you just described the rise and fall of the original G.i.joe line. The military looks made it the most popular toy of its time. Then it went to a sci fi ascetic with actually a gijoe named sci-fi. He was claimed the begin of the end. Hasbro made one of the most iconic cartoons of all time. You can watch it on Tubi tv 📺 right now for free. You must not know much about g.i.joe. Thought you were joking at first lol. You literally described the rise and fall of the traditional 3 Inch line due to shifting away from the military theme. As far as Road Block the idea of providing him anything but his machine gun “ma Deuce” is like having Zorro use a gun. Or King Arthur ditching Excalibur for a bow and arrow. Road Blocks weapon is as much a part of him as Batman’s utility belt.

I see these 6” fig in Hasbro Toyfair in 2018 of Major blood he look in same base off the 3/4 fig and the weapons were awesome

These certainly look promising, especially Scarlett (who's my favorite female Joe 😇). It was a good update of her classic outfit, and very similar to her outfit seen in DDP's G. I. Joe: America's Elite comic series.Love the new level of detail. It would fit in with the planned Snake-Eyes line of figures that will be released in conjunction with the movie (planned for release this November, 2020).
Hopefully, the line will be a success and we'll see more Joes & Cobra Command figures.

While I would much prefer the older outfits, (maybe they can release them in a later series) I agree Scarlett's head sculpt looks spot on.
When this line was first announced I was excited. When they showed Snake Eyes, like you, I got very excited. Then I was looking at my collection and at the ton of vintage and 25th Joes I have and it just hit me...I don't want to chase all these characters down again. I'm happy with my collection as is. I will definitely be getting any Firefly figure they do (my favorite character.) I will say, I think the other figures look pretty terrible. I wanted paramilitary, not future force. They look almost alien space marine to me in a weird way what with all the plates and pads and Roadblocks weird laser gun. Regardless, yo Joe!
