- Paul Stamets shows cultivated morels in an outdoor patch at Fungi Perfecti, and demonstrates a simple test to confirm that the morels that grew came from morel mycelium that was planted. More videos on how to grow morels are forthcoming. Special thanks to Morgan Moran-Kay, David Sumerlin, Dusty Wu Yao, and the teammates at Starship FP. Please see Paul's latest book, Mycelium Running, for more information, available at www.fungi.com.

Paul is a true prophet and provides mycological inspiration to many...keep up the awesome work!
Pure passion, your passion is contagious !
absolutely...
I bought your book I watched every video you inspired me! I want to get as good as you and carry your work for the next generations to learn this!
I always love your videos! For those of us that would love to bury ourselves in the books and live in the lab but never had the opportunity, I get so excited to be part of your "class". TY
🤓
So happy you found your genius Paul.I really enjoy watching and learning from you.
what a beautiful simple concept to compare the strains - i thought Paul was going to show us something fancy with a microscope!
Paul is my hero, man, how awesome would it be to get to work on his farm.
I did not know about that method of comparison. That is very interesting
Wow its spread all over the floor, facinating, here we only have streets, i am a beginner in mycology, also a beginner trader in exchange markets, thanks for the vudeos Paul, keep them coming
Very informative. I never thought about that possibility before. Thank you.
paul, I missed ur Rollins College visit on 3/3, but the weather was great in Orlando, and all of Florida for that matter! if I had known earlier, I would have been there! hope u enjoyed ur visit! todd
You were my hero before, but now that I know you're a Phillies fan, double hero!!
Wow. You learn something new everyday
I never knew that you could do that. Thanks

That is amazing!!!!
That's just so badass
very pointy morel, also very cool showing how you actually can cultivate morels.
i love this man
Man nature is beautiful
You are my hero
That is so COOL
Sir please make video on how to grow morels at home.
Fascinating, Paul, thank you! #SaveTheBees
I would be curious to know more about what is going on in the line of the two strains fighting, and if there are any possible undiscovered anomalies.
awesome
Can't wait tell morel season I picked 1000s on my place in Oklahoma
how much did you pay the Keebler elves to grow those?
beautiful, thank you
I think it's cool how the conflicting strains made a division symbol.
It's basically a "border between 2 nations" That line, being the "War-front".
As for the other strain, could it be Fire Morel? What you have there is what we call ' naturals",but still harvest it for fresh market much of which, I believe is exported to France as well as Asia.
So you're telling me mushrooms are literally like a cliche sitcom were people divide the house with a line of tape
Curious how similar that first morel appears to the seed pod shell of a tulip tree.
Truly a god!
Can I grow morel in the tropics
super
Stamets . The mushroom guru.
Wow
I brought some soil to my garden from downed Douglas fir and forest floor mulch in fall and in spring a morel popped up for the first time...There was only one and then no more...guess it wasn't supportive enough for more of them to grow...I was an unintentional morel "farmer!"
Over here in Sweden they took morels off the "officially safe to eat list" and said it contained carcinogenic substances even after drying and blanching several times. How accurate is this and should people not eat it any more?
did you grow them from spores or piece of stem? And what kind of agar where you using?
I grow edibles, and have 2 types of morel grain spawn started right now. I would be happy to just get one fruit out of the whole project.
Did it work?? :)
Well did it work?????
Well???
Did it???
to sell mushrooms home grown, do I have to have a permit from the USDA, or my local health dept, or both?? just thought u may know?
joe smith it varies from state to state.check yours
no, thank YOU!!!
If growing morells were possible we would have them year round from indoor fellas and ladies obviously outdoor cultivation is possible for Paul but he's an exception! The fella that owns rainforest mushrooms in eddyville or. Has 15 years and 20k invested in trying to grow morells and he has some of the nicest mushies I've ate I've tried spreading mycelium from some of my morell patchs under Apple and elm trees in ohio with no luck
I really wish I could afford to go to school and learn mycology.
Paul, you wouldn't believe how strange those can do here in ND! One By Horace Mann Made a Chopping Block shaped like a Carpiphore on 11th Ave N., And a Similar Just North of The Interstate here that had a molt ink look,,,and totally toxic fart smell. Yet in the corner of this lot; Pauper's Sweet Deluxe,,,and some other mushrooms with a green clay Dinosaur Egg Shell Crack Pelical. The Morel was Right On a Telephone Pole Slunk pocket. Sweeter than Lost. I couldn't understand how Putrid in the other 2 spots,,,goes to show why nobody should be a Tun Here!
thank you mushroom jesus
Sir क्या इसे घर में उगा सकते हैं
sawdust gravel cardboard gypsum shade
do You sale mycélium, 2 years hi Try to fine some .
someone with trypophobia will hate those mushrooms
SAWEET
U from
Dear Paul.. you discover mushrooms.. I am discovering your footsteps... way behind you.. Mush willing, I'll transmit to others the horizons your are pointing at.
Imagine what toxic vs non toxic relationships look like
soldier 957, seachangeau is totally right but all mushrooms contain carcinogen agents. but the morel contain the least. false morel should not be eaten. very different. it looks as if the spores washed out of his compost pile and into the surrounding woodland forest in pauls backyard.
This is not Paul Stamets. Paul Stamets is a mythical being (Pauletus Stametus) easily identified by the signature mushroom hat.
I am sale black muahroom
he is holding a false morel
No it's a true morel.
Mmmm. Stir fry.
If you harvested the original spawn from the same area, you still haven't proven the morels grew from the spawn you spread in the bed. Radio-isotopes or some other type of marker chemical would be a better way to prove this.
Wow
