@@angrytrees7519 It is a multidimensional farm the way he has it set up. He goes with the approach of making the only option of escape for the Shulker from the duplication cage is a spot where they will get teleported to the Nether. The Nether is where they get collected and killed off (in a future version of his farm, he brings them back to the overworld to kill them, but still has them go to the Nether for a brief time). I have done a much smaller scale primitive one that is End only where I have a sea of minecarts taking the escaped shulkers to a kill zone that is a few blocks past the point where additional nearby shuklers ruin the efficiency. It is a bit of a flop tho, because the shulkers kill themselves more often in my version than the published iterations Illmango Et Al. have made (even though I have used the same duplication cage (and played with putting me in the place of the snowman to avoid snowball damage)). My guess is that more qualifying surfaces to escape to increase the odds of it being willing to escape with each self inflicted hit, and I have a very minimalistic setup with maybe 22 possible spots to teleport to instead of hundreds.
We really need some scicraft knowledge about the collection system for shulkers. I remember when the snapshots were coming out you guys made some kind of method on getting them into a killing chamber and drop collector but the details on how to build that were vague, something about coordinates. Would really love some in depth explaination
The full release fixed that so now they actually spawn in the portal but you don't need nether portals for this shulker farming too so it's possible in the end. netherportals are just faster
I made a farm that when creepers get strucked by lighting they turn into charged creepers and then they are transported to a mob farm . Once I ignite the creeper or trigger it they would drop loads of mob heads. Not really sure why I need mob heads but it's always a flex to have...
You could use the nether portal trick for keeping the chunks loaded while this moss farm is running, detect when the storage is full and unload the area by stopping the minecart/item from cycling through the dimensions. When somebody takes something out of the chest you can detect that as well, starting the farm again. This way you don't even have to worry about placing a bot there and deleting it when not needed anymore, the loaded area gets smaller (18 chunks, 9 chunks for each dimension) and the process is even more automated. This works for bee farms and iron farms as well
The lava one excites me the most. I have an unhealthy obsession with seeing how much coal I can horde in survival, and plus lava is easily the longest-burning fuel source in the game.
@Carlton yeah it's a TON of coal. the best idea would be a bamboo farm for fuel, since it's super fast growing you can have it renew infinitely without having to mine
I really like the fact that some items are now renewable like dirt, lava and shulkers. If they decide to continue this trend with sand and gravel, then TNT and concrete would finally be renewable as well.
So you now can make a really efficient bone meal farm, that supplies a automatic (azalea) wood farm, that can power a furnace aray to convert the wood into charcoal to fuel a super smelter. Nice!
Mining the obsidian End platform, which regenerates when an item goes through the portal, would be a super easy Obsidian source in peaceful. Obviously in any other difficulty Piglin trading would be better still.

Right it so stupid that bedrock has those small differences they were all about bring the two versions as close as possible to one another so its weird that mechanics that seems like should just be a tag to slap on a block are completely left out for the bedrock edition because reasons???? 3:40 Gnembon made a video way back about mob pathing, and they only move towards full blocks. I can't remember the radius, but I think it was around ~16 on the X-axis and only ~6 on the Y-axis. Good to read up on if making a primitive overworld mobspawner as you can make a room with upside down stairs, as an example, where mobs can spawn, then have a big chunk nearby with full blocks that mobs will path towards, and of course trap doors to send them into a kill room. It doesn't even matter if the full blocks one is using for lure/bait is available to walk on either. It's of course not very efficient as mobs outside 24 blocks stop pathfinding (after initial spawn, which gives them 1 pathfinding attempt, that can fail, when outside the 24 block radius).
As someone who has been out of the game for many big updates of Minecraft this one seems like the biggest one. I had learned about a lot of the new stuff, except for noticing goats and the new copper lightning rod.
You could also technically make a toggleable light system with the new candles, because you can put them out with breaking them with water, and relight them with flint and steel, I know its not really a farm, but its pretty cool. I know you can make them with Redstone lamps but if you still like old look with torches, candles are a good replacement
I can see how much effort you have put into this video. I watched your video for the 1st time and im impressed. You earned a sub buddy. Going yo recommend you to all my friends.
Finished my stray farm yesterday... Its basically a normal skeleton farm, but the waterbridge is not 23 blocks over the hopper, but 25. You only need 1 powder snow block and 1 cobweb to get strays. Also what happens with leather boot skeletons in that preview farm? They will block the whole thing. I made another water way behind the snow block and let them drop to death. So water way up, have a fence gate above the powder snow block, new water source behind gate and drop chamber for leather boots skeletons. Then under the powder snow block you have a cobweb and 23 blocks under the cobweb you have the hopper.
Skyblock made a comeback in 1.16 with piglin bartering for gravel farming which can be converted to dirt. That and just the villager rework with village and pillage made it great again
About farming obsidian in The End- There is a way to make it AFK-able... Forget mining the pillars, the platform that you spawn on when you enter the end re-generates any time something goes through the portal. So, you just need chunk loader in the stronghold portal room, a dispenser on a timer that spits any item through the end portal, and hoppers under the platform. Then you just afk and use auto clicker to mine the obsidian from the platform...
Never thought of it this way, but it really is the "Renewables" update in a sense. Renewable powdered snow, renewable lava, renewable obsidian, renewable bonemeal (More efficient), renewable moss, etc
I loved when they added piglins trading gravel cause it made it possible to farm gravel and dirt, but now they made it easier to get dirt which is nice but I’m still waiting on sand. Right now you have to wait for wandering traders who might have sand, but even if they do you can only buy a stack. Maybe getting a husk and putting it in water so when a husk becomes a normal zombie it would drop a sand block as if it was being cleaned, you could then use the zombies in the water to make drowned to farm copper as well.
It's funny how mango built a huge stone generator in order create a huge moss farm, in order to obtain a lot of bone meal, in order to grow plenty of bamboo, in order to smelt few pieces of cobblestone in a single furnace, in order to get some xp. I think I will just build a pigman xp farm

It's of course not very efficient as mobs outside 24 blocks stop pathfinding (after initial spawn, which gives them 1 pathfinding attempt, that can fail, when outside the 24 block radius).
Could you use guardians to farm the glow squid?
Do you *want* to gather guardians to try and shove into a farm?
@@CantEscapeFlorida tbf, if you already have a guardian farm, some rails and some potions of invisibility, it shouldn't be too hard
Been waiting for this video since the update =) Thanks mango, excellent work as always
its just a hunch but can you make a stalactite duplicater?
As someone who has been out of the game for many big updates of Minecraft this one seems like the biggest one. I had learned about a lot of the new stuff, except for noticing goats and the new copper lightning rod.
part 1: the meat
part 2: the toppings of the meat
Stalactites are the ones that drip down. Stalagmites are the ones that form on the ground/underneath a stalactite
13:55 he knows.
@@Drew-yz7ih just informing everyone. Stalagma means a drop in greek, stalaktos means dripping in greek. Fun stuff
You could also technically make a toggleable light system with the new candles, because you can put them out with breaking them with water, and relight them with flint and steel, I know its not really a farm, but its pretty cool. I know you can make them with Redstone lamps but if you still like old look with torches, candles are a good replacement
Candle isn't part of these release, Mojang said they're gonna improve it and removed from this release.
@@মেহেদীহাসান-ষ৭গ nope. They are in 1.17, just not on bedrock yet
I remember the SciCraft guys joking about dirt being a nonrenewable resource YEARS ago. And now here we are, automatic dirt farms
10:38 I sense a return of skyblock with this.
Skyblock made a comeback in 1.16 with piglin bartering for gravel farming which can be converted to dirt. That and just the villager rework with village and pillage made it great again
renewable shulkers? wow thats amazing!
The moment you said you will order it by least favorite to most, I knew what the final one would be.
And they haven't added it to bedrock.
Mumbo’s industrial district in Hermitcraft season 8 will be lit
No one:
Not even Mumbo Jumbo:
Ilmango when an update releases: *_F A R M S_*
First time watching your channel.......wasn't expecting to be dancing in my bed at 3am with that fire af intro 🤣
It's funny how mango built a huge stone generator in order create a huge moss farm, in order to obtain a lot of bone meal, in order to grow plenty of bamboo, in order to smelt few pieces of cobblestone in a single furnace, in order to get some xp.
I think I will just build a pigman xp farm
for people who want to make a reliable automatic shulker farm: cubicmetre has a shulker farm that replaces them automatically if they die/teleport (they can after a few hours)
your witch farm is so efficient ilmango keep up the good work. Thanks
For the glow berries, you can also bone meal the vines and harvest them to quickly gather a bunch.
Some really nifty ideas -- thanks!
Great video!
Really cool ideas! Great job!
3:33 Make cliffs for the zombies to spawn on. The goats knock them off and the zombies suffer fall damage.
that intro song is lit i was bumpin the salsa dance waiting for the video to start
shulker farm and that nether wart farm both look exceptionally promising. The moss block/bonemeal farm too.
For Glowberryfarming I use Bees ... they pollinate the Glowberryvines, so they make very quick new berries.
Totally and utterly underated.
