      Thanks, it's a nice riding/driving bus, thought I would share. Tomorrow I plan on bringing my tripod along to show how quiet the bus is when driving it down the street.

    I'm really surprised they weren't able to make these busses more like front engine style, so theres another row of seats, considering theres the whole run of the bus to place batteries and the electric motor. Radiator could've been placed in the front to achieve better cooling. Otherwise, really cool, thanks for the walkthrough!

      😫 school districts dont want diesel how cruel

    • @jonusle2937
      @jonusle2937  2 роки тому

      Districts don't want to deal with DEF, they want simple fuel systems. Our CNG buses get the job done and their emissions are decent. We have a range of around 250 miles with them and that works for our district. With California trending to electrics, we are getting more of those too.

    Any problems with battery heat when the ambient is above 100?
    No Zonar?
    How did you break them in May?

    • @jonusle2937
      @jonusle2937  2 роки тому

      No issues on hot days. No Zonar, we pretrip our buses daily, with no issues getting it done.
      The buses had computer issues that Cummings has since fixed. We had 10 electric buses in May 2021,
      8 were new 2020 models. I was one of 2 drivers, driving them to work the bugs out of them so to speak. Each one had a different quirk that made the computer think the bus was overheated after being driven 3 miles.
      I did videos on a couple of the breakdowns. Check my channel. One of our mechanics told me to always take a photo when I have bus issues, I go 1 better and shoot a video of the issues.

    It looks like all they did was remove the engine and added an electric motor with batteries. I guess it is cheaper than redesigning the bus. Also you don't have an engine. Not sure why it has to make so much noise being stationary. Sound is annoying.

    • @jonusle2937

    Why isn’t there a front stop sign only in the rear ?

    • @jonusle2937
      @jonusle2937  Рік тому +1

      Because in California we escort K-8th grade. When the school bus driver escorts the students they hold a stop sign like a crossing guard. That takes the place of the front stop sign.

    These electric buses are absolute joke They will not work in North Louisiana for the fact that it gets really cold And we would never see these in North Louisiana, for the fact that it gets really cold in the wintertime And they will not go far at all. The buses here in North Louisiana have to travel long distances And also have to drive in rural areas So with that being said, these are a freaking mess and a absolute piece of crap
