Wow... I can only confess that I had wildly under-estimated what it took to build a tennis court. Gentlemen, this video makes me want to ditch my career and work with you guys!
Woof, watching that guy prepping the concrete for paint without a mask on stressed me out. Silicosis is real and I saw a lot of people being pretty cavalier about it when I was working on construction sites. Same with respect to hearing protection. Good editing and beautiful courts.
@Cape and Island Tennis & Track ok cool. yes I've noticed if you don't get it down and move along you'll have issues. Does it require a second coat that way? And are you still using a line primer when you go brush? I have had new guys try to go over something they rolled 45 seconds before and it looks like the spackle ceiling in my grandmother's basement circa 1980 😄
Elizabeth - Cape and Island Tennis and Track built the courts and we don't work in TX but can refer you to very good contractors in the area if you are looking for one. What part of TX are you in?
I used to play on asphalt. Asphalt is cheaper to build and requires no steel reinforcement or painting. But it doesn't like temperature extremes. You'll get a few uneven spots after some years but not too bad.
You don't have to be rich to build one. I'm currently in the process of building mine but I plan to hire hands, by the material, and supervise the job myself to save costs.
These courts were fun to build. I enjoyed it every day. From the quiet nature around us to the mountainous view. One of my favorite jobs.
Bro where did you work this job
They did all details very carefully and clearly.
What a beautiful professional job! Wish can have you guys to build a tennis court for me!

Awesome vid. Good editing. Felt like a good story
Great job . Curious the benefits of applying the line paint with a brush versus a roller? The need for a primer maybe?
Thanks👍 The sand in the line paint guns up the roller in our experience.

From Soil to Court, its beautiful
No concrete saw lines needed there? If there is saw line, will acrylic paint cover it and make it invisible?
Top Quality Workmanship
When the world collapses that tennis court will still be there. It will be very picturesque
very cool video- my first job in HS was wheel barrowing color/sand across courts in the hot NC sun-- Great job guys!
Nicely done! 🙌🏻
@A_P Tennis11 Thanks! They are great courts
That was cool to watch!!!

Bravo. Fist time I'm seeing the cables. What is their purpose?
Reinforcement
Interesting video.
this oddly makes me happy
Who are the guys who built this and how much did it cost?
I read somewhere recently that it costs anywhere from $65K to about $100K for a hardcourt to be built depending where you are in the US.
I wish my school got new courts our courts have so much cracks
What company built these amazing courts? Does you company do any work in Texas?

Hi Eric - I would like to make some inquiries about job applications and some working with Cape And Island Tennis. Thank yoj
any tennis players know the different between the bounce on a concrete vs asphalt tennis court?
I think that in the concrete the Ball reaches more speed
Game is fast on both of these courts but, the concrete courts last long and don’t develop cracks easily as compared to the asphalt one.

Anyone else watching this thinking about building their own home tennis court once they get rich... lol

Sorry if my English is bad because I'm French. But could someone tell me about the amount of concrete for this tennis court?
any idea how much would building one court like this cost?
