Unbelievable talent. I like this gypsy music. I wish I knew more about their history. I hear so many different stories about their past. When I go to the bookstore next, I'll look into this... A people without a home, with an uncertain past, but still joyful. Quite a feat. People living in hardship and uncertainty, yet happy. Mysterious! Maybe they don't/didn't consider it a hardship. Maybe that is why they are/were joyful most of the time.
They are from India originally. Their language is one of indoarian languages. For some reason, germans did nit recognize them as arian nation. During WWII, Germans planned to terminate all of them. Fortunately for them, only part od USSR was occupate by Germans, so.. many of them escaped and survived. The story of Gipsy Holocauste is not very known in the West, but it was really terrible.
The nation is old, the country is new.
