Looks great... Love the matt black. Personally, I prefer a little less poke and more flush. I think +38 is just a little too much. I plan on going with 18 x 9.5 +40 offset. Should be a little closer to flush. I would also recommend some mud flaps or rock guards as with the wider wheels you will definitely sling a lot more rocks.
I agree. There's a reason why the OE wheels set inbound like they are. To me a little less than flush with the fender edge looks good but not beyond IMO.
I bought the same wheels my mates WRX had so I knew exactly what I was getting. They’re very much like yours but in bronze. Wedssport SA72R 18X9.5 +38.
Looks good. I will be getting bronze AV40's for my WRB VB in the Spring. I havent decided on width and offset yet so I have been looking for vids like this. Thank you for that. So far I'm thinking 8.5 width with 35 offset. Not a fan of the poke and stretch with the 9.5 38's. I suppose a 265 would nearly get rid of the stretch but I've heard they can rub if lowered at all.
18 x 9 is KING of all subie wheels IF you want to keep the 245 40 18 . it relaxes the unsightly stretch . on more bit of good info is that the latest version of the michelin pilot sport AS IN THE 245 40 18 IS a bit wider than the older version and the OEM dunlops . so yes i got rid of tire stretch on my 18 mx9.5 apex wheels with just tires it is noticable . keep it up good channel
@@AutoEnthusiast I was leaning towards the Enkei Overlanders in bronze or the Speedline Type 2118s in bronze. Im still not sure! I want the rally look for sure though!
Did I miss the actual offset? I'm guessing it's 40mm but could you put it in the description? Also can you give a weight comparison of stock wheel+tire vs this set up?
Subarus are never the easiest to find wheels for. Something about the styling that makes certain wheels look out of place. These are ok not really a fan of black wheels especially on this model I feel like they blend in too much with the fender flares. Maybe gloss would look better but to each is own. I think once you lower it will look much better 👍🏽
@@AutoEnthusiast personally I would go with a metallic grey or even a silver to break up all the black in on the car. Really like the color of original premium wheels. How do you like your base model? I've been looking into getting into a new Wrx and even though the base model is most affordable I can't help but to not like the way they did the double screen. Did if ever bother you or you didn't mind?

Agreed! And I want to run flaps, but have just seen enough issues to wait a little long tbh. So many flaps are getting ripped off or are falling off

@@AutoEnthusiast there are some that are very low profile Joey M did a video on them.
Flow designs do a pair of front air deflectors that extend the vertical area of the wheel arches to counter poke in +38 offset wheels.👍😎

Looks sick man!! Im strill trying to decide what wheels I want. I have Solar Orange WRX, so Im leaning towards a bronze color wheel..decisions...
Ooo that’s unique! I haven’t really seen any Solar’s with bronze wheels. What brands are you considering?

Makes sense! Not the rally look, but the new cobb bronze wheels look pretty dang good
Offset? Please? 38?
Thanks for the continued content.

He didn't say. But looking up the avid av20 offset is either 22 or 38
Did you change your tire specs…am going with the enkei ts10…I did the av20 on my 2017 now I want to change the rims
What's the offset here? I don't see it in the description and didn't hear you mention it. Thanks .
Probably 35 offset. 38 is flush and 35 pokes. I prefer flush not poke. That’s just me , everyone has preferences.
What’s the sizes of your wheels
What's the offset on those Avid wheels?
+38
Why go avid again when your previous wheels broke? Figured you would have gotten a wheel upgrade.
These are just carrying me over until the summer! But I really like them!
@@AutoEnthusiast Yeah they do look good though. Good luck with them.

Agreed lowering it would be the best route. I just think the gloss would look funny in the sun. What color would you go with?

Reveal? This are the same crack prone wheels dude had 2 years ago.
Why is YT suggesting this poop-poop to me? Honestly fail to struggle to see the point of this video. Sick jalopy though.
Cheers for the comment mate
