I went vegan overnight and feel incredible 👌 best decision I’ve ever made. I always felt sick and had headaches.
So true! It has been the best decision I made as well. I used to have chest pain all the time but that went away as well as my anxiety/depression.
I agree I use to have a lot of back cramps, bloated, uncomfortable and gassy. Now I'm a lot better
@@_angelicr wow your anxiety and depression went away from going vegan? Wow thanks for commenting more info thanks
@@liztorres7291 wow this is amazing and it's motivating me ...info on how you started what you like to eat and what helps a lot thanks
I do vegetarian and vegan because l can’t completely do vegan but l will say you feel and see a difference in your body
Maria Lovely how did u eliminate food groups from your diet. Did u start certain meal time?
Me too 😊
I've been vegetarian for five years and eat vegan as much as I can and nothing at all changed on my body. I might be the only one
Ann Caldwell lmao this is me! I love veggies and fruits and I don’t often eat meat, that every now and then ya girl wants some bacon with her “eggs.”

"You have to be okay with standing alone sometimes" , She is so right! This is something we must apply in every situation. True life lesson.
Exactly

This pandemic has the shelves empty of meat, eggs and cheese. So this is helpful. Vegan aisles is always stocked 😂
5%LowBattery literally!
😂 😂 😂 Meat shortage coming too. I'm already researching lol
@5%LowBattery I need to be where you are because it's so hard to find plant based items in my area. As someone who grew up meat free, I can honestly say I have never seen vegetarian/ vegan items sold out like they've been 😭
Not where I'm at. Are stores are back to normal
5%LowBattery quarantine made me vegan 😂
Because of you I went vegan I've literally watched all your vegan videos with a pen and paper lol everything was easy to find at the store and I don't feel overwhelmed😁 4th day in thank you!
Ooooh girl your highlight!! I subscribed. 🤩😍
you got this, keep going!! :)
I want to go vegan but I’m soooooo nervous and picky 🥴 my kryptonite is chicken. But I don’t know where to start 😔
Same, I’m on day 5 down 5 lbs because of her & Love Your Natural on here! My tip is to keep it simple and meal prep.
Yes she made me go vegan and I’m on day 5
I just finished making curried chick peas in coconut milk, with brown Jasmine rice and corn with stir fried veggies.😋
Thank You for your comment. I was looking for additions to my veggie stir fry tonight for dinner 😊
Sounds delicious 😊
Also, zucchini and kale coconut soup.
For years now I cut out pork, red meats, and beef, dairy, I already been drinking almond milk I hate regular milk nasty 🤢 lol but l..... I currently eat chicken, seafood and turkey. So I’m trying I gradually transition I want to drop the turkey next !!
Veins With Glitter I’m tryin to cut meat from diet. It hard. Did u cut out red meat quickly?
@@kingdombeauty9174 I substituted turkey for red meat.
Diet twin!!! This has been my diet for almost a year now! I eventually want to become vegan, but kinda stuck right now. Ready to take that next step!!
hey girl if you need more reasons and motivation on why you should be vegan check out earthlings, it is a documentary on how animals are exploited for us as humans i really hope it helps you in your transition
I gave up beef and pork years ago, but I struggled with chicken. I went vegan for 30 days last month and now I’m pescatarian.
25 seconds in... Kim you look so pretty in this pink girl 💕.
like straight FLAWLESS, just laid to the GODSSSSS
I'm a self declared flexitarian at this point. I only eat meat and dairy 2x a week. Hoping to make the big jump to veganism soon. As she said meal prepping and planning helps a lot. Awesome video !! 👍💖👌
Just be careful with the carbs. I was a vegan over a year and my sugar level went off the charts because all the carbs were changing to sugar..Just some advise because everybody body is different.🤗
I appreciate at your comment because the flexitarian style of eating has given me great results especially with my daughter. For me getting her involved allowed us both to not have a tug a war on snacks. The carbs I can also relate to and have since change up alot of my choices combined with intermittent fasting. I am feeling much more energy these days
Yep flexitarian here but hopefully going into veganism
Thank you this is where I am currently. I starting getting turned off of meat. I need to make adjustments for health reasons. This is so good.
@@angelarambo72 what kind of carbs were you eating
“You have to be okay with standing alone sometimes” yessss so true!!!
Quarantine changed the way I looked at food. With no distractions I started seeing my food as just dead animals and I couldn't shake it. I just quit cold turkey and went vegan and honestly, I'm having a great time. I've been watching videos just to maintain my momentum and I'm so glad I stumbled on your channel!
Who else likes the video before they even see it cause you know ALL of her videos are good? As soon as the notification comes on, I immediately like it. ❤️
I love this chic❤️
yes, yes and yes
Crystal McDonald guilty lol I love her
🙋🏾♀️me lol
ME!!!
I love this video. I wish I could have looked at your other videos before I started my plant based journey. I went plant based in November of 2019 because I'm a type 2 diabetic and I had a serious scare. I had a blood sugar reading of 511 and my A1C level was 13.6. I knew I had to do something about my health. I went plant based and since November I have lost 35lbs and my levels have went down to 6.9. I feel so better now. Thank you for sharing your tips and I love your channel.
That’s amazing! Congratulations on your progress!
Glad you feel better and are healthier
That’s amazing! Congrats on your health journey!!
Amazing
Kim, these tips are spot on!! I have a few as well: 1. Start cooking/preparing most of your meals now if you don't already. Make cooking your norm. 2. Also, fall in love with produce. Start learning to prepare veggies/fruits that are so tasty you don't even realize you skipped meat. Try/retry new veggies. 3. Subscribe to Vegan UA-cam channels for inspiration. This one is my favorite 😊
Awesome tips!! Thanks! I’m a newbie!
"I started seeing animal parts on my plate" I felt that😩 I'm slowly becoming vegan. This video helped so much!
I love the vegan crumbles. I no longer purchase ground meat and no one can taste the difference. I've made spaghetti, lasagna and a number of other dishes with it. I am not Vegan but I do love incorporating vegan meals/ingredients into my diet. Thanks for your videos I always watch to see what new items to try or inspiration for my next vegan dish!
I'm not vegan but would try this. Where do you purchase the crumbles?
I just made a vegan lasagna but couldn't find any vegan crumbles so I improvised by buying Gardein vegan beef burger from a local grocery store and tofurky Italian sausage from Trader Joe's and blend the two and it came out like a nice crumble and used in the lasagna, it was delicious my husband and mom loved it as well and couldn't tell if it was vegan.
Yasss!! It’s great before my son passed away I tricked him when I was making tacos he said mom nawl...

GIRL, YES on the "everyone is a nutritionist". I had someone tell me, just recently...that Almond Milk has regular Milk. I damn near fell on the floor. Mind you I've been vegan for almost 5 years now. LOVE your channel and I have tried some of your recipes.
ha ha ha this made e laugh! Silly people sometimes :)
I kid you not I told myself I'm going to start changing my diet up and started preparing a healthy meal and this video popped up.🙈 I guess this is confirmation I'm on the right track. Great video. Much love 💖💖
A.sweet same
I've been vegan over 4 years now!! You were definitely someone who highly influenced me. All your meals always looked so fun and tasty. Love this video and love your hair
I'm literally making my shopping list for tomorrow for the week. I think i want to go pescatarian for now because i love salmon too much. But I feel like i can veganize my breakfast and lunch. I'm excited!!!!
Wow! I was literally going through your old videos to assist me with the vegan diet since I’ve never tried it before and then BOOM you posted this. Thank you!
You got this!
I’ve been doing meatless Mondays for years. I don’t eat red meat. Never ate pork. I’ve been trying out vegan foods and eating plant based foods and I am really really considering going vegan January 1, 2022 for health reasons. This video is a great help. Thank you 😊
I love how informative this was Kim. I’m vegetarian slowly transitioning (seafood is my kryptonite) and your videos and recipes helps. Thank you for always sharing with us.
Quani Mac Just a FYI vegetarians don’t eat any seafood, pescatarian’s do though.
I can relate to your transition to plant based, Kim. Over 10 years ago, I just started to get turned off by meat and slowly went from pescatarian, vegetarian, and then in 2020 I’ve been happily plant based vegan for 2.5 years :) its a journey! thanks for making this video! 🌱💕
*if I switch to vegan I DONT wanna see NO bumps on my face, period!* 💯
Boss Queen same girl I want to lose weight and get rid of my acne
Dairy causes acne and a million other problems
I'm vegan but unfortunately I still get acne. Other things could be causing it though like what I'm using on my face or other reasons. It isn't always your diet. But eating healthy & drinking a lot of water helps, as well as having a good skincare routine with products that suit your skin :)
I felt this!!! Amen amen
I have really bad eczema and I don't break out. I know I can't do to much of certain things, but I have gerd so I have to be careful.
Please do a food substitute video, cause I can’t let go of my eggs and salmon 🥺
The brand just egg, tofu scramble or chickpea scramble
Then Don't :)
The tofu really helps for your egg substitute. She has a video for that. I have place it in a bowl with all my ingredients so the tofu can get all the flavors. Then cook it up. Its really good
@@Martina_E is there a video you would recommend for the chickpea scramble. That sound interesting. I have not heard of it
😂
The Myokos butter is the best vegan butter on the market and I am not vegan. Great tip regarding cutting out one meat at a time.
Great video! I have tons of vegan recipes saved on Pinterest! I just have to make them! I have already eliminated dairy from my diet and have been making green smoothies. This has motivated to continue on my journey.
Stumbled upon your channel, I’ve been feeling tired of meat lately and I love this video, so real and not just bombarded with info 👏🏾
I’m in a mixed household also. My husband and son are meat eaters and I’m a vegetarian with vegan tendencies. I eat mostly vegan items and don’t consume dairy but I still use things like honey and eggs. I didn’t transition just went vegetarian one day. I feel like I’ll eventually be vegan.
My entire household eats meat also. I've been a vegetarian I think for 13yrs. Like you I woke up one day and said today is my last day eating meat🤷🏾♀️
Similar. Thanksgiving 2019 was my last full meal w/ meat. I was just tired of cooking meat initially. Then I saw the documentaries. THEN I noticed positive body changes so that's when I stuck with it.
I still have the occasional piece of prosciutto or mozzarella, but that's my business lol.
I watched a netflix movie that included real scenes of a beef processing plant. So pissed! They need to put warnings on that ish! The closeup scene of the cow's eyes, right before being killed, reminded me of my poopy pants (my dog), and I couldn't eat dinner that night (we had beef). I thought I'd be over it in a week. Nope. Thought hey, chickens aren't that cute, so I could eat that. Nope. Then I thought I'd be able to eat fish since they're ugly, and aren't like, _real_ animals (sarcasm). Nope. Thought I'd definitely finally get over it w/in a couple wks or months max. Nope. It's now been over 2 yrs and I'm still waiting to be able to eat that Chick-fil-A sandwich again, or sushi, gyros 😩!!
That's prob a pipedream at this point.😑
@@asideofaioli4630 Ahahah such a funny way of going doing the list of animal flesh you no longer consume! That was me too. I am getting to that point with fish too tbh. I just cannot stand seeing then swim, with eyes living, and then they end up on my plate 🤢 and I used to love eating fish! I was a pescatarian, rarely eating shrimp, but was a huge fish eater...but now....I am pretty much over it lol.
I had to play the video 2x I wasn't paying attention, your glow is captivating.☺
Thank you so much Cee Cee ❤️
Thank you for this video! I'm type 2 diabetic with a need for change. I'm starting to look at meat on my plate as dead animals and after watching your video and reading a lot of the comments, that's a good time to start thinking about converting over to vegan. I'm getting ready to binge watch your videos sooooooo🤣...Thanks again! Blessings
I'm never dissappointed when it comes to watching your videos. Great information!
This video is long overdue lmao I went vegan and stopped so many times lmao
I did the same thing. I went pescatarian 2012, vegetarian 2015 , then vegan 2017;2018
I went a whole year being vegan and stopped. Now I’m getting back into it. I felt my best then.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sis, same!
True. Me too
1. Switch out staple cooking items and condiments
- oat milk, soy milk, etc.
- earh balance butter
- take what you're used to and switch with plant based
2. Gradually eliminate meat groups
- go slow
3. Veganize your current favorite dishes
4. Plan out your meals
5. Go on a vegan food tour
- yelp
- best vegan restaurants
6. Keep an open mind
- be open to experimenting
7. Be gentle on yourself
You have to be okay with standing alone.
Slowing giving up meat. I love seafood too much to give it up. I think I’m a pescatarian❤️
Have you considered the mediterranean diet.
You can still have seafood as a vegan you should look up vegan seafood boil, it’s vegan chimp and crab
I absolutely loveeee pescatarian diet 😍💯
Thank you for making this!!! ❤️ I love how truthful you are in saying you just have to be okay with being the oddball out and also about how people are rude about people being vegan, but it’s about them not you. Thank you! Also, you are so beautiful!
I agree. Start slow. My family started in February. And yes it's not perfect, just stay at it in sections.
I love watching your videos. Everything you’re mentioned in this one reminds so much of plant base lifestyle. Thank you so much for all your tips and meal planning.
This is such a great video for anyone who’s newly vegan or looking to become vegan but not too sure how to start! Eliminating slowly was a tactic that worked well for us ✨
My mom and sister are "nahsayers" I'm starting my vegan and spiritual journey but I'm not telling them ima keep this one to my self🤣
you’re so helpful. i rarely can sit and watch someone just talk to a camera through the whole video. but you are so helpful and made such good videos 🥰
It's been so cool watching your videos and channel growth over the years! I've been here since the beginning and have learned so much from you along the way :)
I remember when you were pescatarian
I can't believe I've been following for over 5 years wow.
This is so good and practical. I was looking for the “how” in this transitioning process. THANK YOU!
Food looks delicious 😋 I have been Vegan/Raw for 15 years and feel soooo much better. I did a lot of research before I began this journey 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Love this! Tofu scramble is my go to!
I have been thinking about starting a plant base diet, your video was so relatable, and you covered everything. Thank you for this.
I must say this is spot on as a recently transitioned vegetarian in a diverse household. Although I am not vegan but your videos still inspire me and help me develop new meals that fit my diet. Keep up the great content!
Yesterday was my birthday. Couldn’t go anywhere so we had a bbq. I had all vegan food it was good.
I do love your channel!! The step by step tutorials are amazing! Thanks for looking out for us! 🙏🏾💙✊🏾
Love this. I'm just starting my plant-based journey now, at 56. I need to catch up on your other vids, they're so good and speak to me! New subscriber. Thanks so much!
I've been a vegan for about 6 yrs too!😊 So glad the algorithm brought me to ur channel!🤗 U r gorgeous!😮💜 Have a great day!🌞
First! I'm so glad i caught this before starting my school work.
I would love for u to do a vegan freezer meal prep video!!! With the way we are staying inside now I would love to just pack some meals away for days I just wanna drop something in the Crock-Pot and go
Thank you for this. I have been researching and trying to figure out recipes to transition into becoming a vegan. 😊 It is something I have been wanting to do for a while. It is also about becoming more healthier for wanting to change the way I eat and put into my body.
Yea thats exactly what i did when i became a vegetarian. I gradually eliminated each meat group. Im gonna do it again. Love your video. Thanx
lily lee I can go vegan milk cheese meat are so good th
A game changer for me as a vegan was learning to make bread without oil, sugar, or salt! Thanks sis for this content.
I needed this video omggg. I just started on my own journey for health reasons and I’ve been struggling to make up meals. Thank youuuuu
These were excellent tips! I love the gradual progression....I’ve tried to be vegan three different times🤦🏾♀️it’s the damn cheese I don’t miss anything but real cheese.
Cheese and milk I am having an issue with
Someone told me that cheese addiction is real bc of the way it reacts in our brain....similar to needing it instead of just wanting it. Idk how scientific that statement is......but I noticed in myself when I weened myself off it like how other addictions could be, it helped keep off it. just my experience
@@dancingdivaa97 It is an addiction but it's very unhealthy. There are lots of good vegan cheeses now.
Trust me there are things out there that taste just as good, if not better than cheese. It's easier than you think. It's hard for me too but it will happen eventually if you stay motivated! Good luck
Daiya "cheese" is bomb. First one I've tried that didn't have a weird aftertaste...or duringtaste.
Can you do a video on how you manage living in a household with meat eaters while being vegan?
Love the video Kim!
I think I am ready for the transition. Its the mixed household issue that will be hard. Having to cook to appeal everyone's appetite already is hard as it is. Lol.
I’ve decided I’m going vegan when I come back from basic training and I can not stop watching your videos they are soo insightful
My mom isn’t letting me do this because she says I need the protein but I’m still going to tryyy 🙂I know I can get my protein from other things
Camila Miles try vegan protein shakes!
Camila, I recommend you watch Game Changers on Netflix to answer the question about protein. Protein is in beans, whole grains, and vegetables. I wish you the best! 😊
I'm vegetarian right now. I started on the first day of February, so it's almost my fourth month doing it. I originally did it as a bet to my friend who said that he couldn't not eat meat. I've done it before for a month a year or two ago, so I said I could do it for a year. But now, I'm liking it. I don't really miss meat. The rest of my family eats meat, but my mom is supportive and buys things for me for my eating style now. But it kind of feels weird, like I'm not going all the way there. That's why I'm thinking of going vegan, but I don't know. I like cheese and eggs (I know some consider this a meat, I don't and neither does my vegetarian friend, whom I took after). This is going to be a problem for me. I can easily take out meat. I can substitute my milk. But I like stuff with dairy products in it, like baked goods and boiled eggs and omlets and pizza. I haven't done my reasearch, and maybe there are alternatives these, but I want to fill my body more with whole foods, rather than alternatives to whole foods to avoid animal products. But like I said, I haven't done my research yet. Maybe these alternatives are whole foods or contain whole foods
It sounds like you’re an octo lacto vegetarian. It means you are a vegetarian that doesn’t eat meat or seafood Brit still consume eggs and dairy. That is what I’m striving to become.
That's amazing! So nice to have supportive people in our lives
If you use superfood powders like moringa and chlorella in your smoothies they both have b12 in it. Also they’re both super nutritional !! For all my smoothie lovers out there who want to get the most out of their smoothies
Thank you so much for this video!!! I've begun changing my diet slowly over the past year and I'm currently a pescatarian who is considering moving to a vegan diet. This video helped tremendously and I'm really grateful for all the tips.
I have literally been talking to my vegan friends about the transition. This was so helpful !!
Love this video!! Can you do a “how to prepare tofu” dedicated video? I swear I have tried it 10 different ways and I still hate it. :(
I’m going to start by having vegan only breakfast at least 3 times a week. Wish me luck 😫
Valerie Adah good idea 💡
That’s a good start.
Have fun with it !
All the best!
Good luck, you can do it 😊
That's so true. I'm trying to eat more healthier and loose weight in certain areas. It's a process but I'm getting there. I just started eating rye bread. I absolutely love bread so that rye bread is better for me.
This was right on time (three days in!) for me, so thorough, and so helpful! Thank you for this, Sis 😊.
Kim it's such a blessing that your channel has grown so much! You are my first vegan inspiration xo
Thank you for making this it’s SO helpful! Also you’re stunning!!!
Just found you on UA-cam and I love your videos! I'm very close to coming off of a 10 day detox so I'm trying to get some ideas and ways to kick off a healthy more plant based lifestyle afterwards. This video is very informative and helpful, I took notes the entire time ❤
Thank you for this 😩 you make me feel so confident about trying to transition!!! Every concern and question was answered in this one video!! I’m ready!!
Thank you so much. I have started towards the plant-based lifestyle - still learning and gradually moving that way; right now I guess I call myself a flexitarian, mostly still including seafood...for now. I'm working on my prepping. Your videos have been so helpful and simple. Thank you. I have subscribed.
Not gonna lie, it’s like I knew this (from years of research) but I really really needed to hear it all over again! Mainly because I’m ready to take this seriously now but seriously, thank you for this video. Love it 🥰
you always have the best transition videos. These're my go-to.
Such a great idea to do a vegan search of restaurants near you! Thank you so much. Your videos have certainly helped me out, as I’ve just started eaten a plant based diet.
This is such awesome information! Thank you for the simplicity in the video. I'm a bit more confident to go forth now.
You gave such good advice for those of us just starting to transition. Thank you so much💚
Very helpful and informative. Thank you Kim.
I'm happy that more and more people are becoming concious and start making right food choices! Thank you for the video!
I don't do soy so I can't eat tofu. You are correct everyone becomes a nutritionist. Lol. When I'm going to a function I either eat well prior or bring my own food. I've been vegan for about 8 years and I'll never go back. Great video!!
All good tips Kim! I have been naturally giving up certain meats, beef and pork particularly. Thank you!
Lots of great starter tips thank you !! I feel more confident again thank you ! Love how you just kept it moving with the information and not lagging quick to the point👌 🙂
So glad I came across your channel. Just starting out with this. In between pescatarian-vegetarian-vegan. Slowly omitting dairy but can’t seem to fully commit to no eggs. Loving your content. Very helpful!
This video was soo easy to follow. My issue is I get so overwhelmed. But the idea of switching the condiments and making my favorite dishes as vegan is a wonderful idea. Thank youuuuuuu
I truly appreciate your videos!!
This was the simplest way I have heard. Thank you!
This was an amazing video full of things I never thought of before and a nice start-guide! Thank you!
Thanks for making this! I have been living with fibroids for years and am getting them removed soon. After I recover, I plan to transition to plant-based and Vegan. I've been slowly transitioning for a year now, but I'm shooting in the dark here as far as what the next step is.
Great food tips. I try to eat a meatless meal at least once a day it really helps my digestive system. I'm edging more toward being a vegetarian just learning more and more about what foods work best for my body and lifestyle. Your food ideas have come in handy down through the years. 🙂
I have been vegan/vegetarian for eight years, I love this! Thank you for sharing!!
Glad I stopped by. I am taking my baby steps. Appreciate your tips they are very helpful.
I know this video is old but it’s new to me and I am about to start my vegan journey and your videos are so helpful thank you for this content ✨
Right on time starting today and have been doing tons of research
Loved this video Kim! Your tips have definitely helped me in my transition 💕 Thanks for all you do!
it's crazy cuz that's exactly how me not wanting to eat meat happened. just the random turn off of it, i started to hate looking at beef or chicken. that's how my journey started.
also i really wanted to do this for a while cuz ive had skin problems for the longest time and my doctor said i should be cutting down all dairy but of course i didn't listen so here i am! i wanna make a start now. thank you luv 💗
