Interesting. I’m sort of new to the ham radio stuff. But I had one suggestion that when you have an older cell phone that you are no longer using, you can get clock app and leave the phone plugged in all the time so the battery never dies and you have an automatic UTC clock. I have it clipped on top of my computer screen with orange colored numbers at the house for quick reference when I am DX ing. Thank you for the abbreviations info.
Good information. Amateur radio is not difficult or expensive to get into, you don't need fancy equipment unless you want to operate on the HF bands, and even that can be done on a budget. 73's! Jon K7TWV.
