The most painful losses are when you see your opponent squirming and getting annoyed, but then they somehow beat you and you have to see their smug face at the end.
he was like 2 decent moves away from resigning mid game lol... ya thats a tough loss
Just think that it also happens to you too. You have also swindled your opponents before. Its just a game. Have fun with it
@@FranciscoCruz-xz2dw it's not just a game, it's a competitive professional match
@@human-ft3wk Nah. It’s a children’s game

It’s the same as you slogging away at work every day if you want to call that a game as well, there is a monetary reward for all of this, children don’t play for money
So great to see you competing in chess again! Keep it up, Anna!
Yup I don’t see Gotham anywhere doing actual tournaments
@@aaronortega1083 He officially retired from that, a while ago.
👍🏻👍🏻
Just wondering if streaming earns more then chess tournaments but i dont know if skills deteriorate over time w/o actual experience
With engines nowadays, is there such a thing as doing your own way and hope your opponent blunder?
You're playing strong players and you're doing a good job.
No matter what... I find this particular game delicious(win, lose or draw).
It's so relatable to have a great position, then lose it. Glad to hear you're not letting it get you down!
It's enlightening how you described your emotions here - actual GRIEF and then acceptance - And it can be even heartbreaking at times. It's nice to hear those feelings expressed because EVERY chess player does go through this!
What an absolutely amazing start! You almost couldn't have had a better position - big congrats. Fun to watch the game for us viewers
Hearing you process the emotion out loud, explaining accepting over the board, was so meaningful. All the best!
You made the U.K. papers today Anna talking about dodgy geezers in Chess. Congrats !
Which one please?

This commentary even came with a life lesson included. Wow, great game. Keep it up, Anna! We're all rooting for you. :D
A deep heart felt GG for you and your opponent :)) Hope to see you competing in theese kind of tournaments more. Congrats for ur great game
You play beautifully with a fighting spirit, Anna!!!
Great story and lesson, thanks for sharing the inner monologue stuff, it is compelling.
Wonderfull, really enjoyed following this. Thanks so much for sharing and keep going Anna!
Really enjoyed the emotionality in your recap! So empathize with the grief for letting go a winning position.
Looking forward to the next one and seeing what muevs you come up with next!
I barely ever played chess, but I find all kinds strategy intriguing not just in chess but in other areas. I sense that Anna is uncomfortable or embarrassed to discuss her losses. If you're reading this Anna, I think the best things about your channel is the friendliness/warmth as well the integrity of your character which makes it far easier to digest the strategy. Once one gets to the peak of ones rating, losing becomes normal as one faces opponents who are one hundred points ahead of their peak so please don't be to hard on yourself. I stumbled and come to your channel to see your warm smiling face and hear about strategy. If I didn't care about the human traits of how you deliver the message, I would go to some grand masters channel, but I'm not, I'm here and I suspect many others are for the same reason. Your a good ambassador for the game regardless of your rating.
Really appreciate you sharing your losses so openly Anna. We all learn from these and recover together! Thank you!
Anna, the description of your mindset talking about grief and emotions during the game was incredible. That's an aspect of the game I've never really thought about in such clear terms before. Thank you for sharing those thoughts, keep it up! Cheers
Anna is such a positive personality that it's always fun to follow her moves and explanations.
At least you weren't so bad that your opponent fell asleep. 🤣
I'm glad you waited to do the recap, as it was a great video!
I enjoy watching your videos, Anna. You have such lovely energy, as do your parents. You're helping to improve my chess game, too. Thanks and keep up the great work! ✨️
Hey Anna, keep your head up we're all rooting for you!!! You're playing tough opponents, and you're keeping up with them even outplaying them in some instances. Love your high energy and good spirit, keep up the positive vibes and don't be too down in grief on the chess tournaments when they don't go your way, always remember you have all of us (your amazing fanbase) who loves and supports you to come back to after a long hard fought battle! WE LUVVV YOUUUU ANNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing work Anna! I’m so sad that you didn’t win but I’m sure you’ll learn loads from the experience, keep it up!

Great recap of a fascinating game. Really enjoyed your presentation and explanation. I know they were missed, but some great tactical shots you showed there which I wouldn't have seen in a million years let alone the few seconds you had to see them.
GG Anna! Live and learn yeah on to the next one. Good Luck!
Interesante juego. Me alegra ver que has encontrado tu propio estilo
Great game Anna, well played 👍

What a fun and energetic presentation. Infectious and inspired.
I relate so much with what you said about grief in classical chess, and playing on to go through it in the game. Loved the way you put it, and I think a lot of people who play classical chess can agree
I love this tournament content. I hope you continue high level professional competitions.
I am cheering for you Anna. It is great that you make us part of your journey!
My god! It feels like I lost this game! Wishing you all the best for the next game, Anna!
Keep up, Anna! I love your enthusiasm. I'm trying to improve my chess with your vids.
Greetings from Colombia.
Really nice explanation of all the moves, and all your emotions during the game!
I love your positive attitude!!!!!!! It's a pleasure to hear you relate life to chess. You are obviously a happy person, your parents look like happy people. Please continue to shine and share your hapiness with all of us!!!!!!!! xx
What a great replay of the game. Very emotional and true to reality.
Bobby Fischer played Kd2 very often. It protects the king & confuses the opponent.
Nice that you went back to chess competitions, it gives some great games and fun to see your state of mind
Qué duro es el ajedrez... pero gran partida, Anna. ¡¡¡Ánimo para la siguiente!!
Good game you had that.. love the content
You did really well in the middle part of the game; it was beautiful. I hope you can avoid time troubles in the future ones.
Good luck. I love your positive attitude!!
This should be mainstream television.
She is a natural star.
Absolutely insane! Why we like you... you are both VERY sane and VERY crazy... at the same time. Good way to be.
Thanks for a very interesting game and analysing!😊
BUMMER... You are very humble. And a delight to learn from. Thank you.
I love that you have such a positive look on life!! Keep the good stuff coming.
c5 was a terrific move. Great presentation, it was really funny, when Anna acted out her opponent's emotions!
I am saving these videos to teach my 9 year old daughter about sportsmanship.
Great recap. That Ne3 move was beautiful! Acceptance is a powerful experience !!!
Thanks for the great commentary!
Well done, Anna
You developed some incredible positions, and turned the dynamic of the game with with single.moves, but also took a step back and developed your positions. Impressive.
Time pressure! Gah!!! Brain goes out the window! Looking fwdz to the nex recap! Great upload Thx!!
Anna cycled between: "i'm brilliant" to "i suck". But compared to me, you're a genius.
Really enjoying these games 💪🏻👍🏻
Great recap! I was sure you were going to win. As you said, you had so many materials advanced so far!
Good Job! You played fantastically!
Great game! I love how animated she is going over these games.
That was a great position! The clock is difficult to manage sometimes. I enjoyed your analysis of the game!
Fantastic play from both
Lesson learned. Never underestimate your opponent, Anna.

Great tactical and emotional breakdown. That bishop sac on the queen side was a super GM move, no doubt.
What a great start for this game ms Anna, you had a fantastic position indeed. Keep going, and do not stress so much during the game, think of your mom and her way of thinking, be confident. I think stress was your enemy this time, because your game was on point dear Anna. Less stress please, relax , find a place in your mind that gives you confidence. You where winning this game almost to the end. lets go Anna
Tactical Anna, no worries you was awesome, wish you all the best ✌
Beautiful video again Anna and the game was good, you really could have wim it too
Both players had genius moments in this game. The reflection of chess representing grief and acceptance at times is very true. It's funny that such a little game can have such a big impact.
I love your enthusiasm!
You did great Anna he was almost a greatmaster Anna you are having a nice tournament and playing really well
Really nice analysis. You let that one get away Anna.
I really enjoyed watching this game a lot. I never realized how exciting live classical can be, especially with GM Pia Cramling's commentary. Heartbreaking result in this one, but congrats on your win against Kevin Winter today
Pia's commentary is superb.
The word is "posturing" :)
Thanks for the recaps!!

Your grief/acceptance explanation is beautiful and makes us realise that chess is life indeed. Thanks for your enthousiasm, once again. Good luck, Ms. Cramling!
Nice job Anna!!
Wonderfully entertaining game !!
That was a roller coaster of a game.
I knew burning so much time in the beginning was going to come back to bite you. You played so well it’s a shame but a good lesson to learn.
Ur such a good sport anna, everyone loves you
That difference between "having a winning position" and "actually winning the game" is what those 300 points are made of.
That sucks! What a let down after you had such a great position! Good luck with your next game!
Nice you played amazing I hope you win
That's so sad... Keep your head up Anna!
Before I watched this video I blundered my queen and resigned (classical). I hope that makes you feel better. 😊.
That was an intense game. Tough loss but thanks for sharing!
Thanks for posting!
Interesting recaps. Way above my abilities. 😄
