Asheville

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the folks effected by Hurricane Helene. I was in Asheville not too long ago having my concertina repaired by Bob Snopes who lives there. I hope he’s doing alright. I thought it fitting to write a tube for Asheville on this 172 year old concertina.

An interesting back story Mike .. Your Ode to Asheville sounds melancholy then hopeful. ♬‧*˚✧♬. Concertina looks in very good condition and sounds almost 'Irish'. :)

Glad you enjoyed it. This concertina was made by Charles Wheatstone, the inventor of the English concertina, in 1853. It needed some rehab but it’s pretty close to original. Sweet instrument to play!
