Kind of. For hiking boots it's recommended to have more space than in your regular shoes in front in the toebox, whilst your heel is still fixated and it's not so big you are sliding in your shoe. My regular shoe size is 45/45.5 and my hanwag size is 46.5.
Are they ok for winter in temps down to -5*C with thick socks ?
