    Thank you for taking the time to help those of us who can't understand manuals to well. or just hate them. You provide a smooth, easy to follow and clear understanding for me and my son to use our DB-90. Appreciate it very much.

    That helps a LOT. I suppose I could look up the manual on line and try to find what I"m looking for, in this case it was about beats and patterns. BUT your simple demonstration got me over the line. Thanks

    I like the human voice counting the beats because I transcribe rhythms often in my head or on paper. That helps me keep my place as to which beat I am working on.

      does the Human Voice mode only say the number ("1...2...3..."), or does it also speak the 8ths/16ths/triples ("e, and, uh...") ?

    We run the out from the DB90 into our Aviom system (in ear monitors). That way the band can hear the click track, but the folks out front can't. The cool thing about the Aviom is that each member can then mix there own monitor mix. In a practice enviromement I've also just plugged the metronome into the sound board. I've found this to be a valuable tool as a drummer, that way it is a little less like herding cats...

    Hey! I use one all the time. You can adjust the whole note, quarter, 8th, and 16th notes.
    It can hold 50 (I believe) tempos, and the DB-90 is apparently better, but I have personally not used the Tama metronome.

    @frankmroberts Excellent review!
    Is the DB90 loud enough to be heard through headphones, in a gig situation? Does it cut through a rock band's sound? We need to use a metronome for our band, in order to use (sync) some loops and be right on time (maybe even using midi). We would like our drummer not to be dependent on the sound engineer for this, and we want to avoid using laptops etc.

  • @nealmosspercussion
    @nealmosspercussion 14 років тому

    @WizXX It is possible, but you have to use the loop function. What this does play a desired number of measures at one tempo, then you can change it to a new tempo with a new number of desired measures. Each of which has to be programmed in a different memory slot. I do this all the time for marching band. Let me know if you need more detailed instructions on how to do this.

    Can you program different tempos within a song and a specific amount of measures? I want to make a click map of songs for recording. I am not sure why it's so hard to make a metronome that one can program to do that. Many songs change tempos within the song and change again. Any help?

  • @frankmroberts
    @frankmroberts  14 років тому

    Sorry I haven't used the DB90 to produce polyrythm patterns, however, I believe it could be used for that. At first blush I would say if I wanted to do that I would use my drum machine, only because it has more instruments to trigger and it would then be easier for me to hear it. I'm also not familial with the DB60's features, so its difficult for me to compare the two.

      Hey, speak for yourself. Plenty of people would find a lot of use in learning to program it, if they, say, need to program the met to do a tempo change in the middle of their marching band show, or something.
