that is 100% true. I have met all of them numerous times over the years and every single one of them was so friendly and appreciative of me being a big fan.
THIS BAND HAS ALWAYS COME UP WITH THE SONGS THAT STICK TO YOUR GULLET. SO MUCH TALENT THAT WENT THROUGH THIS FINE BAND 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍LOVE 38 SPECIAL ALWAYS KEEP UP THE MUSIC WE NEED YOU
Donnie Van Zant just to hear you laugh so heartily is as good as your singing. You & Johnny both have a great sense of humor as well as singing talent & more . I found some old videos of Ronnie on youtube and some had photos of him really smiling he had to have been under age 20 or so. You all can roll with the changes. Hope you all the best in life. fan in Kalamazoo *
Ive seen these guys numerous times. They signed my Gator Rock cafe t shirt in Clinton Iowa. Riverboat Days. Forever my fav band. From the git go. Thanks ya'all❤❤❤
Great interview! I've been a big fan since the early 80s. It's cool to see that they are not only life long friends, but sound like just regular guys instead of holier than thou "Rock Stars". AND, they still kick ass! HELL YEAH!!
Always been a fan of good ol' southern rock and these guys are the best at it. Down to earth and hard working. I saw these guys in Knoxville Tn at the Fair years ago. It was an outside concert and fantastic! Just like you put a CD in and turned it on. These guys are great!!!!
That sucks Donnie Van Zant officially retired from the band. Inner ear nerve damage. Only Don Barnes is the original member. Loved the old days with Jeff Carlisi, Larry Junstrom and their two drummers Steve Brookins and Jack Grondin. Of course Donnie and Don. Saw them 3 times in the early eighties with this original line up. Like Cher sang "If I COULD TURN BACK TIME". Southern rock at it's best.
thanx for the reply neil. 38 Special was bad ass & killed it on stage for 5 concerts i saw them perform!! Miss everyone no longer there as original members, this southern rock band was epic for sure!! thank U 38 SPECIAL!!!!
38 Special and Cheap Trick were the best State Fair bands you could never go wrong with. They are Great!!!!! They are very hard-working bands. I enjoyed them every time I saw them at Ohio State Fair. Not that they are not good for any other places but when they were on the bill at a fair just made the Fair cool.🤘✌
I had a chance to jam with these guys back in 2013... Was the best time of my life!!! All the guys are just as cool as it gets... Check out my video of it on here... 😎😀
There is a massive ground swell to support these guys because the pop machine is obsessed with youth - and longer profit-laden timelines! No worries, the non-botox, real world crowd is the majority by far! ;)
My favorite 38 special song is one in a million don sings the hell out of that song its not one of their biggest hits but it's a good one 👍🏾 oh by the way, I'm black LOL
Johnny has the same smile....gorgeous!!! same laugh too. I think Donnie and Johnny favor alot. not that Ronnie doesn't favor them too, but those two look more alike to me.
