Additional Info: The exact amount of mats that you get back is a little odd. In the video, you see I only got back 160 ingolith instead of the 260 back that I spent to get 8/12. @pichapao5337 tested a 12/12 MW salvage and he got all 260 ingolith back however, but he did not get all 550 Neth back, but instead got 300 Neth back. So it seems you get most of your mats back, but not all.

No Neathiron back but at least low-level pit mats got compensated
So trashing 12/12 does give Neathiron. The exact figure I'm not sure if it is consistent -- but I got 300 back!
It wasn't masterworked that high. The item had triangles instead of stars

I have a couple diff rapid fire builds that I made pre season, but I wasn't a huge fan of the new play style with the new ring, so i went heartseeker this season... I may try rf again once I'm done with heartseeker

Hey Xarrio, if you’ve reset your masterwork on an item, I guess salvaging only returns the mats spent since the last reset? Thanks for the tip!

You don't get all your mats back, just fyi. I think it's around 60% or so.
wish you could get them back when you rework mastery. We should test different items, and different levels, of how much we get back
