We express our condolences on the death of the amulet.
Word of advice big bro, once you miss the tempers you want start temper on another amulet until you squeeze out the rolls you want. It’s worked for me about three times. Not 100% but it changes them up more frequently than not sometimes. I followed your guides on this build and by far it is my favorite. I picked up a ga dex with deadly and frigid. Need to see you running that, you’ll love it.
aspects can be easily changed now but the limited tempering sucks for experimenting with builds
it doesnt... what you are asking is that a single item can be used for any build. That doesn't work. But creating another item for another build is very easy.
@@marsovac I didn't ask about using a single item for different builds, I'm saying creating another item for another build is a lot harder now as you will brick most of them.
@@marsovac Why shouldn't I be able to use a single item for multiple builds?
@@marsovac you should be able to spend your mats and when you want to switch builds change the tempers. They should offer a temper reroll option.
It's hard enough to find close to perfect gear. It's even harder to find it twice. It's almost as if blizzard is once again trying to force us into playing one build.
@@ThorGodofThunder420 you're not supposed to have perfect gear, and if you are the game can be uninstalled. Some nolifers or lucky bastards can have it, but not normal people. If normal people can get easily perfect gear then for those that play efficiently and play a lot the season is over in a matter of days and the game becomes thrash. Stop asking for D4 to become like D3, where seasons last for a week for those that actually play it above average. Dont try to make the game cater to the lowest common denominator. That makes for bad games. D3 is such a bad game where you have everything handed easily with no sense of accomplishment with oot pinjatas that make you feel nothing after a few days, while D2 is a good game where you could farm for years before getting the rarest items and highest runes and when you did get one you had a real rush of dopamine. Moreover you can now even trade in D4, so you dont have to drop exactly what you want, but can trade for it. And additionally, perfect gear or not, there is no real difference. no GA to 3GA makes for what, 30% dps? That's like 2-3 levels of the pit push. Perfect gear is there for only one purpose: to give infinite game longevity to those that actually spend time in the game. If you remove that, you alienate the most devote player base to cater to casuals.
Ripperoni.
I can relate.
👍🏻
RIP lol, thanks for your content.
Bro… I felt your pain man… ended up bricking an ammy for my sorc… 2 passives and cdr bro… sad moment… ufff
Had the same amu drop for me, GA DV and GA %Dex, bricked aswell..
I gotta 1Ga to fridget fitness but has exploit at 2. So I rolled malice for 2. Fully master workered with vulnerable and now it’s 7 fridget 5 exploit 4 malic.
Xarrio, I have take a 3GA Cross Bow (dex/life/damage), and take more 90damage in temper, is better try find one with CC (ga and temper?) or this are fine?
Cc better brother as it’s a higher percentage and damage is just your flat damage output dmg vs controlled is your dmg against the chilled and poisoned ect.
And there goes my chair out my window
Man you know what’s worse? I started a rogue, and immediately tempered some great 1-2 ga gear I had found on my barb and necro without realizing I haven’t actually unlocked legendary tempers yet on the new rogue. Rolled 30% vulnerable on all my pieces instead of 55, including double ga crit rate and lucky hit gloves. I still have 4 tempers left on the glove and both rings. Debating to risk it.
what an amazingly well thought out system in a seasonal setting, great job blizzard...
The Blacksmith and Occultist are the most evil npc's in the game!
I'm very disappointed that the mid season patch didnt let you reset tempers with sparks, they couldve even let it cost 5 sparks if they wanted to. That's a real hefty price imo. But no, the godtier items needs to stay bricked forever
@@marsovac Having God tier items continuously exit the economy due to bricking, actually drives the prices up of everything, because people become more and more desperate to get their hands on 2/3GA items. And this is rapidly destroying in game economy due to RWT.
You have 2GA gear going for billions on trade sites lmao. Imagine being a player that just sticks to whispers. Should've never gotten to this point.
This happened to me last night with 2 different 2 GA bows.. I immediately got off right after to say the least 😭 Question though do you think running a 4GA xFals coroded singet can fit well with Andy build?
Try looking into pity mechanic for Diablo 4. It's not a fact or proven, but most games have a pity mechanic built in for gambling rolls such as these. I've had a bit more success using a garbage item to get the pity mechanic to trigger and give me the roll I want. I've also bricked items and had the stat I was looking for pop up on the first roll on the garbage item, but it's an interesting tactic that I've found a little success with.
Nangari scion sends its regards 😂
I seem to frequently get the same affix multiple times, often in a row. The odds of that happening are super low, so I gotta wonder how actual random tempering rolls are. Seem to hit flat dmg way more than cc dmg. Should be even chance because tempering is so rough already. Enchanting I get stuff being more rare, but tempering, no.
maybe its copium but when tempering, I use another item first and wait for 3-4 misses in a row before trying the piece I want. Most of the time I get what I'm looking for. Also the rolls are not completely random, they are weighted by perceived power. You have an higher percentage of what the dev believe is a weaker stat.
The odds for that are not super low. Getting three times the same from 4 possible choices is one in 16. What makes you remember that is that the human brain remembers weird outcomes much more than normal ones. So you dont remember that in the other 15 temperings that didnt happen, you just say that this one time it is weird and imply that odds are broken.
Additionally you say that flat damage is much more often than cc damage, but I have the same opposite experience, trying to get flat damage for poison druid.
Exact;y why I quit, at pit 125 plus getting a chance for upgrades is so stupidly rare and when that happens lol, waste of time.
People loved "stupidly rare" in D2. Today, everybody wants to have maxed out gear after 1 month in the season and then complains about missing endgame.
You could argue, though, that seasonal resets kind of pushed that expectation.
@@flowqi212 Times have changed, seasonal model is exactly the reason tbh. I mean if it was one long game I’m down for bricking and Uber rares I get one every 6 months but there’s simply not time for the average person in a seasonal cycle. People will just play something else until a seasonal reset and repeat.
very soon u will be paying 30 bill for item to just brick cus the demand is insane cus lower player base.
@@osbtm1258 the demand is lower. Less players = less competition. More supply, less demand.
Yesterday i bricked a heartseeker tripple ga bow woth dex life and vuln! Could roll the extra hs prjectiles! I feel ya this thing was worth several billion gold
I gifted a GA vuln/dex and normal maximum life bow to a friend instead of selling it, and he bricked it too. It sucked so hard
Sorry about the amulet. As a fellow rogue main, I was pulling for you. System needs a rework. Do you mind sharing the title of this tranquil song? In the end, it seemed to be sympathizing with your pain.
There should be a garanty button that would give you the minimum value on the one that you need
I have +5 frigid and+5 deadly venom which I rerolled from exploit. Was it a good decision? :) costed +200M for the enchantment lol.
You would have likely been fine keeping exploit if not a bit better off.
So i tmeperd amulet with close dmg what's the difference in total dmg ? Considering iam using tb so iam always close
You need damage to crowd control for the multiplicative scaling on close quarters passive. The damage difference with that temper on every item adds up.
Is deadly venom preferred on Ammy? I thought it was exploit
I felt this pain
Finding perfect items should be a joyful experience. Instead it's a disappointing experience because you try to temper it, get unlucky, and now you're left with a useless perfect item.
I would just use it
Of course the 2nd hits!!!! Madafada!!!
I feel your pain…
rip xxx
Pity mechanic?
Always worth a try! It's worked a few times for me. It's also failed to work for me a couple times 😆
Last night I got a 1GA frigid and exploit amulet. Redid the useless third stat and got 2 malice, made my night
@@youngwang5546 got unlucky on the tempering and stuck with caltrap cd. not the end of the world but wanted shadowstep increase duration
Grats, I bricked an attack speed, GA +exploit, +frigid one the other day. Haven't seen anything close to that since the season started.
I'm hoping you tempered it before you spent all that money on enchanting?
I've seen this mentioned a couple of times from other content creators, I think they should change the system to allow u to pick the affixes u want but the RNG lies in the values u get for it. So you reroll the stat ranges to try and get perfect or max value rather than rolling dead stats on gear. Also those that keep pushing the resplendent spark currency solution might as well support blizzard in making it cost platinum to reset your tempers. Such a dumb idea that turns off a majority of their player base.
I was getting upset with you on each reroll bro. I feel the pain, that was a sick ami.
Gotta wait few days not spam temps
Deadly venom is better than frigid?
No, I guess he would have rerolled the third affix to frigid if the temper was successful.
You always temper before you enchant. Save money that way. When you brick an item it's officially trash.
Rogue tempers are literally 2x harder. Ive bricked every triple ga and 80% of 2ga offensive items lol... but tempering is prob still my favorite part of the szn lol.
That's why I buy normal amulets and double GA on everything else 😂
People say the pity mechanism doesnt work. But i assure you it does. Imagine if you spent all the bricked rolls on another amulet and then switched to THAT one amulet you wanted and then rolled it. I have a GA frigid finesse amulet with High dex% and i didnt brick it. it didnt roll high tempers but the Dodge chance and Crowd control damage is there. i have 3b+ pieces of gear on my rogue and each and every one didn't brick. i have beicked some but if i rolled these pieces outright, Id have bricked them all ten times overm The pity system 100% WORKS and i dont care if you wanna say "Tinfoil hat" blah blah blah ALL my rogue gear either has 2 to three greater affixes and all goes for 1b+ gold on market. I REFUSE to let that shit beick without trying the pity method.
Can you explain how to do it? How many times do you roll the sacrificed piece before you do your real one, and what if you hit the desired stat on the sacrificial one?
I accidentally tempered a blue rarity vulnerable roll on my 2GA gloves, not realizing I hadn’t unlocked the legendary temper. So I’m debating to re temper it, with 4 chances left. I definitely don’t want to brick the gloves. They have max attack speed , ga lucky hit and ga crit rate.
Isn't damage good aniway? i mean, ofc damage to crowd would be better, but you can still use it
You can, but no CC % is a big loss. Not worth spending billion gold trying to get FF for a mediocre amulet.
@@Xarrio I thought generic damage would double dip for your poison dots? Is that only a necro thing?
@dizk8488 Anywhere you can get crowd control you need it due to close quarters combat bonus. You only want flat dmg where you can't get cc dmg, not on tempers ever.
@@dizk8488 it does double dip, but dmg% to CC scales close quarters combat while flat damage%/DoT% does not.
I swear 2 and 3 GA items get bricked more than non GA state items, like your constant damage roll over and over I hardly ever see that on non GA items.
Sucks too because these 2 and 3 star items are very hard to get let alone with stats that you need for (insert build here) requirements.
Fun times!
#broken
well sh!t :( Story of my life atm. Either i brick something or end up having to spend MILLIONS per enchant roll trying to get the correct stat and still not having any luck. They should cycle the stats so you can't temper them again.
Putting this put there for data sets.
I have a theory that the temper will always fight against whatever your build spec needs.
I've had 10 items where I changed to victimize and first try got crowd control
Another day...😂
Did u try the pity mechanic ...?
Happens here 90% of the times.
Damage This guy comes out many times.😂
But Dodge it's not a Bad element
They have to fix this. I really don't care how, but 2GA+ gear is too rare to farm enough of it to play the RNG game.
My mentality now is aim for the right stat you want over getting greater affixes, made my life so much easier and even then I’m pushing out 137 on my rogue
@@bcatbb2896 yeah, same. I just bought cheap items with the right stats and tempered until they didn't brick. GA items are for the RMT whales. If I find a GA item I sell it and let someone else brick it, because it will absolutely brick.
It's doable, but it sucks all the joy out of playing the game and finding items, which is what diablo is supposed to be all about. This is just depressing and I'm done.
@@bcatbb2896 I switched to that too, but imo it's a bandaid to a faulty intended mechanic. add a Loot Filter and "fix bricking" and this game can truly focus on good content and balancing for years to come
Tempering will be fixed. The question is „when“…
Iys ridiculous a syat should not roll upto 5x in a row as mine have before
I think rogue is seriously broken I've bricked literally 90% of all items on rogue. My sorc and barb didn't really have this problem. Barb imposing presence on helmet or amulet was rough but that's about it. Rogue is every single fucking item. Just temper on your barb and it'll give damage to crowd control every time lol
This isn't RNG. No way. That shit happens to me all the time. Same stat 5 times in a row. This bs is skewed big time. Big FU to Blizzard.
This tempering mechanic is the bigest bullshit iv ever seen. This can only happen cause they dont play theire own game more than 10h.
They do play their own games. They did this deliberatley to keep people searching for the next piece of loot. If it bricks then keep searching again and again.
Generally the longer a player is engaged the higher the chances they might by something from the cash shop.
or it could be because you dont understand jack shit. Godly items having to exit the economy is a very good thing for the game. The problem is that casuals like you who have high loss aversion syndrome are whining because of it...
2 GA should have more rerolls and 3GA should be infinite
First u try on normal amu when 6 x burn u can try your haha its like gambling
If you aren't bricking you aren't playing
ouch
Tempering sucks
It's incredibly powerful with the right rolls but bricking a 2 or 3 ga item doesn't ever feel good lol. I wish there was a way to reset tempering even if it were expensive
It's a slot machine and the house always wins. The choices they offer are so terrible that no one would ever consider. You should be able to roll a GA affix and it remains GA, you should be able to reset tempering at cost. Getting a great item is so astronomically high they have turned it into the old uber unique situation.
Tempering system is immensely flawed . It needs a rework .
i can sell u the same amulet I just got it
I've literally just stopped playing because of this BS. I quit season 0 because of enchant bricking, this is 1000% worse.
Was sure the mid season patch would do something, like sparks to reset temper rolls, which would give a reason to do tormented bosses, which I was looking forward to. But they just increased numbers randomly and made the strongest builds even stronger. I had hopes for season 4 and that blizzard was getting a clue, but they're more clueless than ever.
i also always get Damage !!! what the fuck is this its not normal always damage 3x times more than everything else
about 20 dollars😂
U dont know how too do it man
Unlucky
Should have pet the dog before tempering.
Hurts to watch :/
Like the video dislike the result
So sad the saddest thing iv seen today
I have break a bow 3 stars...this mechanic sucks.... No sense....
With how easy it is to get all right affixes(aside from +passive on neck) i think a majority of us would be in BiS already so i'm kinda happy we can brick items.
Easy? I don't know what your build requires, but besides weapons which aren't that bad if you're okay with 1 GA, I've found only a couple of single GA items that were useful for any of my builds the entire season, and that's after making 3 rogues to level 100 and well beyond. Most affixes are either 100% useless or just bad in that slot. All the items I have are crappy cheap ones from trading, and that's after bricking almost everything I tried to temper.
It's all fine when levelling, but once you want actually good items and they're beyond rare and almost always brick it feels hopeless and indeed I'm done with D4. This is pure torture, nothing even remotely fun about it.
exactly why i quit d4 and will not be buying the dlc. I got around 12 items 2x-3x GA over 3 weeks and everyone of them bricked rolling the same garbage over and over. Diiablo devs need a reality check and the only way that happens is when consumers speak with their wallet and big brother Microsoft gets involved like after the s1 nerf that destroyed the game for a whole season
Ya their mentality over there is straight up dumb or just don’t care because they don’t play the game
I won’t be buying the dlc either and just trying to get my money worth this season before moving on
I love the bricking mechanics in this game, i hope they never remove it. Makes the game both painful and fun.
A stupid system. There is no skill involved in “crafting”.
This is worse than damage on Tuesday affixes
God this game is a joke. Playing it feels insulting.
Don't mean to be harsh, but this just shows me how illogical people are with any sort of item gambling system. You rolled over a 42% damage roll to chase a 47-65% damage to cc roll. Best case scenario you hit the perfect 65% and at 12/12 masterwork you would be gaining an extra 33% additive damage. There is no way this is more than a 2% more damage boost, and more likely closer to 1% more damage (estimating based on your min/maxed char).
People throw around the word "bricked" so flippantly. To me losing 1% damage is not "bricking" an item. But if you only want absolutely perfect gear then it is expected that you SHOULD miss a lot of the gambles you are displaying here. System working as intended. Wish ya better luck next time, though for your standards I wouldn't expect it.
using a non ga item with crowd control damage will be more damage..... this is why tempering needs adjustments because they make too big a diff with stacked bad tempering
I get what you are saying. The thing is that for the build I am using, there is a passive called Close Quarter Combat (CQC), which gives a multiplier based on your crowd control %. So that 65% CC Roll, which then will turn into a 97.5% CC roll from 12/12 MW, would increase the CQC multiplier by 9.75% damage. This end up being about 5% more damage from this multiplier alone. So it ends up being a pretty big miss.
Man if you don't understand the build you really shouldn't comment, especially such a long one lol. It's a major challenge to get cc dmg high for cqc, you need it on all your tempers.
@@Xarrio Got it. I was wrong then. 5% still feels a little light to throw around the term "brick" (like turning a Mageblood into a rare item in PoE). But that is much more impactful then the 1% I had assumed. Thanks for the clarification.
@@Xarrio Also, as a thought experiment. Would you still consider the item "bricked" if you had hit a minimum damage to cc roll of 47%? Technically that would be costing you a few % more damage compared to the perfect 65% scenario you outline here. Just making the point of where do we draw the line of an item being a "brick" (aka useless). Opposed to "cannot be further altered"
Thumbs up if you relate.
BTW, explanation for non-rogues: For the build I am using, there is a passive called Close Quarter Combat (CQC), which gives a multiplier based on your crowd control %. So that 65% CC Roll, which then will turn into a 97.5% CC roll from 12/12 MW, would increase the CQC multiplier by 9.75% damage. This ends up being about 5% more damage from this multiplier alone. So it ends up being a pretty big miss.
Might as well make a heartseeker rogue cause I have 7 required gear, oh wait now I have 2. 😢
😢😭
I actually think thats the main reason for the community divide on tempering. its much worse for some classes compared to others. Rogues have it the worse
@@dailydistraction3793how so? Bricking a 2-3 GA items feels like crap regardless of the class infact I’d argue and being someone with a highly geared rogue we have it better considering most classes want rogue tempering affix’s and will make and level rogue purely to be able to use our tempers
@@Tellingss it does feel like crap no matter your class but rogues have 5 possible rolls on their bows. 4 of which are brick. The 2nd important temper is 1 in 4 and the other 3 also a brick. Now factor in the same rolls come up at least 3x and I’ve had 18 times a test with putty crafting now we have a system that is so cringe people just quit after the burn out kicks in. I feel like blizzard needs to get in front of this and not wait until s5 for a fix
