    I have a $13,000 charge off. Not in collections. On report last four years. I’ll hold out three more years until it goes away 😄

    How about unemployment benefits? Are those garnishable?

    Is it better to go to court again and ask for a trial by jury or arbitration or try to settle

    What’s the best way to actually pay them? I wouldn’t feel comfortable writing a check out of my account or them having my card information.

      Do a cashiers check that way they can’t trace your bank account

    Great video. Very informative. I have a situation where I'm being sued by the original creditor. However, I only receive once a month VA disability and retired pay can they garnish either of them?

      In most states VA disability and Social Security disability are exempt can't be garnished.

    I'm being sued by a junk debt buyer NCB Management Services. I've answered the suit and would like to offer a settlement. It's been impossible to get in touch with the attorney who filed the suit on the phone. I've only gotten the people in their call center. Should I send the attorney a written settlement offer?

    I went to book a consultation, but I see it come up as bankruptcy. Do I still use that even if that’s not what I’m going to be speaking about?

    I am being sued for 2600 on past due credit card, and want to settle. Do I contact the lawyer who is representing Midland or do I call the company directly that owns the junk debt?

      I’m in the exact same situation, lawsuit was filed against me for a $2,250 debt, did you find out how to settle it?

    • @empi4106
      @empi4106 Рік тому +2

      @Dxriz I never found out how to settle but they dropped the suit against me before the court date. I assume this was due to me asking for proof of the debt owed and they didn't have it.

    I got a call from a debt collector right before the six year mark while it still was active arkansas statue of limitations is 6 years. I agreed to pay 600 of 2000 as a settlement so they wouldn't Sue me I was stupid I gave them my card number they said they would wait until a certain time to pull out 300 then 300 the next time I get paid this was extremely dumb because I realized they could probably pull out whatever they want so I immediately called My bank and told them to cancel my card. Even though I agreed I don't know if they pulled anything my guess I said I was so broke till the day I get paid they were gonna pull as much as they can that day but I will never know because I canceled it they said it would be automanic I'm wanting to settle it for 600 if possible compared to getting sued but the thing is if I just ignored it it probably wouldn't have Then been collectible But I read online because I agreed to make a payment they were probably recording and that resets the statute of limitations So I pretty much completely screwed myself over Because if I would have waited I'm guessing I would have not been responsible

    I have a $50,000 unsecured line of credit coming due in February. I have been current the whole time. However, I am now unemployed and do not want to pay back the full amount. I also have about $20,000 of credit card debt as well. The $50k lender is not budging on giving me any kind of a break. He wants to keep the interest rate at 11% and start amortizing. I do have about $400,000 in a stock portfolio, however. I just don't want to sell any of it. I'd prefer to pay off the $50,000 loan with low interest. That does not seem possible. I thought about a debt settlement company and they promised me a 4.5 year amortization with a total payment of about $52k on $70k of debt. This seems too good to be true and I've ready about the nightmares online that can happen. What are your thoughts?
