Another enjoyable vlog Hayley, Debbie here you really are quite amusing 🤣🤣🤣 Would love to visit Jenny's shop you lucky lucky thing, maybe next year if we get to go up north🤔 Love the poinsettia fabric. Thanks for entertaining while I cut some very fluid viscose. Have a lovely weekend x x
Hi Debbie, so glad you enjoyed it, I worried I was being a bit of a downer! Jenny’s shop is fantastic to visit, but also the train trip along the coast was stunning! Now granted I had lovely weather, and that’s not always the case in the Lakes, but honestly, Grange-over-sands with the sun shining was genuinely breath-taking. I hope you find an excuse to go!
Great vlog love your honesty and humour. I just spent hours on the Thea pants only to be cutting the seam edge and went straight through the back of the pants. Managed to rescue it with sewing on a bit of detail over it I was so annoyed with myself ❤❤
Oh no! I’m so glad you’ve managed to rescue them. I’ve done that before and it’s the worst! I was still having bad luck with the tshirt this afternoon, but this evening I’ve finally got the neckband sorted so maybe it will all turn out in the end 😂
I love the flowered fabric in green and white, it is so pretty and your fire is looking very cosy. I have not given in, to the fire or heating just yet😅currently wearing a sweater and a fleece! Have a good weekend.
I hear next week is going to be warm again so you might get some wear out of your top and your tshirt when you finish it. I can’t wait to see the teal fabric made up!
@alwaysinthecraftroom I feel your frustration with the T-shirt. I’ve done similar this week making some bias binding in 2 halves. I cut half of it (using an AccuQuilt strip die) while watching and following a video… perfect bias binding! Then I did the second half thinking I remembered the steps I had just done and ended up with straight grain strips running vertically and horizontally in the same strip… Of course they can’t be all sewn together to make one binding for the quilt I’m making 🤦♀️ Oh dear! How sad! Never mind! I’ll sew the perfect bias into a binding strip and the straight grain will go in my scraps as seeds for a new quilt. Wish you luck in completing your T-shirt as I take a different fabric to try to make binding for this quilt and will follow the video closely every time I fold and cut the fabric on my strip die
Oh no, I totally feel your pain! UA-cam videos showing bias binding are like magic aren't they, fold this to here and that to there and ta-da! But I can see how easy it is to go wrong! I will wish you the best of luck also making your binding - I'm afraid the t-shirt is back in the naughty pile as I've now made the neckline too small to go over my head! Like you say, Oh dear but never mind! It's only fabric at the end of the day ☺️ Hopefully we will have better luck tomorrow!
@@alwaysinthecraftroom at least when my sewing goes wrong I get seeds for my next quilt. Looks like you need a little help from Beetlejuice’s friend for your T-shirt problem ua-cam.com/video/Fj_inlzsDhQ/v-deo.htmlsi=gjSdqwZB2vQ4UM0Y
Am actually watching from Canada, where we use American needle sizes, measure temperature in Celsius, but biggest fabric retailer sells fabric by the metre, width is listed in inches.
You could make an LB pullover by paper theory for your version of a Christmas jumper. I know how you feel about being hot - they're becoming more popular in NZ but totally impractical 😂
Lesson to be learned, don’t sew when you’re stressed. And all the mistakes give you even more stress. I would have thrown it in the bin. Shopping is better therapy. Well done. I think you should make a really basic blouse with the poinsettia fabric. Timeless and fits under a coat or cardigan (if we get another energy crisis). You’ll only wear it for two nights, better sew something that will last you many years. The fabric is the show stopper anyway.
Yes better to stop before you do something you’ll regret 😂 I think you’re right about the blouse, a classic shirt that can be pulled out year after year.
You are so funny😂 what a joy to watch you at the end of my day. Things will be fine, take a breathe, have a drink and move forward 😊
Thank you, what a lovely comment 😊

Love the fabric and sewing plans!
Aw thank you!
Omg you’re absolutely hysterically funny 😂😂 hope you have that T-shirt made by now.Love all your new fabrics ❤ have a lovely weekend ❤
Thank you, I’m so glad to hear I made you laugh, I was worried it was a bit of a depressing one really! I hope you have a great weekend too ❤️

Aw thank you! I do think I gave in a bit soon, the sun really came out after I filmed this and now I’m sitting in my vest letting the fire go out 😂
I made a love notions rhapsody blouse in that blue paisley for my sis and it looks gorgeous
Oooh I’ve never bought a Love Notions pattern but I have been tempted by the Rhapsody! I bet it does look fab in that fabric 😊
Really enjoyed this episode, made me chuckle, these things happen to me too 😂
Glad I gave you a chuckle, it was just one thing after another 🤦🏻♀️
I hear next week is going to be warm again so you might get some wear out of your top and your tshirt when you finish it. I can’t wait to see the teal fabric made up!
Oooh that would be nice, if I can bring myself to finish it 🫣😂

I'm a big fan of Jenny Stitches, I went to see her last year. Though I was a little bit overwhelmed being in a real fabric shop lol.
Great plans.
I know, I’m glad I had a list or I wouldn’t have known where to start 😂 Such a lovely shop, I’m already plotting a reason to go back.

Ha ha, I mix units a lot too, but length in one, width in the other seems extreme 🤣

Thanks for the suggestion I hadn't seen that pattern. Oh my goodness, Christmas jumpers in summer?! No thank you 😂
Another great vlog - I love the poinsettia fabric- would the fabric work for a Fleur blouse with green velvet ties?
Oh gosh that sounds lovely! Thank you for the suggestion
