LEGO SPACE! Full Stop-Motion Movie
Вставка

- This is a project which took me three years to complete. It is an epic sci-fi adventure following LEGO classic space characters as they struggle with the cosmic and emotional turmoil of space. It was by far the most challenging and time-consuming project I have worked on, crafting the story, animation, music, and visual effects. To see the idea I had three years ago now fully manifested so close to how I imagined is beyond satisfying. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

this should have more apprecation
Yeah and at the end, four of 'em are goners! Just shows our superiority!
great job! 😁
Will you make a follow up about Benny and what happened to him afterwards?
@@eileenkean9787 There is a sequel to this story, hopefully I will have time to make it lol.
Totally proves we NEED a Lego Space movie, Warner Bros. And Lego need to step up. Until then we have this master piece.
This is probably my favorite animation on the platform. You can tell how much work was put into every single shot.
Ya definitely
Agreed
Yeah a lot of these just look normal but require a lot of effort to get the scenes like that
Same my favorite
Have you seen the Halo one?
With your content, and the recent news of a new "Classic" Space set, this is shaping up to be a great time for Lego Space fans.
THE WAY THERE ALL SMILIEING WHEN BENNY IS SHOT OUT OF THE AIRLOCK
🙂
This is giving me 80's space horror film vibes.
I love it. Seriously, you did a wonderful movie
I…was _not_ expecting a gory, emotional story starring _Benny_ of all characters. Dadgum.
Good golly. A happy ending would have been nice
that is soo true
This is the compilation of all three chapters of LEGO SPACE for your viewing pleasure, hope you enjoy.
Very nice animation, but the story is a bit wonky in places
Very good. I watched all 3 parts individually before and its even better having it as one whole thing. Hmm I wonder if Lenny used to be a blacktron soldier?
Great work, amazing dark story, i just love it ;) Keep up the good work.
You should make a video named the the return of spacemen
Also get the new Lego galaxy explorer for the video
I didn’t really like the gore, it didn’t make sense for a lego movie
this was legit better than most of netflix sci-fi offerings on all fronts
This is one of the few stop motions that I've seen with some real story. The dramatic camera movements created suspense and helped to keep the audience's interest. The dialogue was also good, it gave the characters specific feelings/traits. This was an awesome stop-motion!
I agree 👍
Fr😂❤🎉😊
You have such a strong grasp on storytelling and cinematography! Found myself emotionally invested in the story all the way through. That's no easy feat!
Thanks! Appreciate it!
Maybe thats the Reason benny is Always excited in the lego movie cuz he wants to forget the Horrible Accidents that he had to Witness with the Obsession with space ships to forget the death of his fellow Crewmembers.
Id more say its the power of autistic obsession(I have this myself and sometimes it's really helpful other times its more of a hinderance bc I cant stop thinking about one thing that I like)
The cosmonauts got the only painless death that could have an open casket funeral
I have no words to describe how awesome this was
this transcends brickfilm, this is art
The lighting is amazing! And the the whole thing has great 2001 Space Odyssey vibes to it.
Philosophy affects everything. People observe the universe with their own philosophy. Everyone has different morals, different views. But the truth is that humanity is all alike - we have a good side and a bad side. We try to focus on trying to do good but the fact is - the other side will always slip through one way or another.

4:00 “I stepped in, to an avalanche. It covered up my soul”
"I don't want to dig more graves" has stuck to my head like a leech for 2 years now
This is amazing! I love how every character has their own distinct personality! Though, I’ve noticed almost every Classic Space film has a yellow spaceman depicted as French. I wonder why…
These lego spacemen are the reason why i love lego man
Lenny, Kenny, Benny, Jenny... and Ryan. The animation, framing, lighting and cinematography are FANTASTIC! SUPERB! AMAZING! The editing in a few spots could be tightened up. The story... is kind of "millennial"... a string of climatic moments with no real glue to tie it all together. But heck, there's only so much you can cram into 20 minutes, right? Visually, it was truly awesome and fun to watch!!
love how they always smile (except Benny, of course)😶🌫
WHY AM I CRYING?? 😭😭😭😭
The red red guy was so chill, what a great piece of stop motion
The way this was made shows some intense dedication to story telling. Absolutely amazing job, never stop
this is the best stop motion I've seen in a while and it's not just the animation that's great but so is the story and the characters
Excellent work I enjoyed the clashing philosophies while keeping the whimsy of Classic Space
Absolutely love Lego Space. This was a great movie!
This man just made an Oscar-worthy short film with Lego. Animations, writing, effects were all spectacular! The voices could have used some work, but like I said, Oscar-worthy anyways.
I haven't been impressed with a Lego stop motion movie in a while. I can tell so much care went into this. The gore kinda caught me off guard at first, you don't typically expect that with Lego but it was very well done.
Thanks, I tend to believe that violence should be somewhat visceral even in contexts such as this. A lot of media glosses over its ugliness which i think is kinda strange.
One of the best stop motions ever made
Totally enjoyed all of this story. The sounds, effects, objects, monsters, backgrounds and even your voices. 🏆🏆🏆🏆
Thanks appreciate it!
Plot 10/10 stop motion 9.9/10 action 10/10 I love this so much
this was the best piece of lego content i have ever seen since "the magic portal" and this brings so much memories back from making stopmotions with my brother. what you did here was truly a work of art in all of the ways the shots were taken, the characters the animation everything is so creative and wonderful and i want you to know i admire that
Wow thank you means a lot to hear that 🙏
Bro dis lit! 🔥💯
The music of Mr Ballen. Awesome!!!
One of the best animations I've ever seen, great work
This is epic - absolutely fantastic work.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.
(I love how spacemen getting horrifically injured keep their classic smiley face!!!!)
Who Said you couldnt tell mature and emitonfull storys with Lego!
Brutal but amazing, awesome homage to classic space and Blacktron and just space as a genre and classic space films. Incredible work!
This is truely fantastic on so many different levels. A master piece. I can see how there is no compromise in production. The sound effect/music, the animation and the lighting (especially the explosions), the background (especially the starry sky), the props (the gore and all), the attention to details, all top notch. Absolutely wonderful absolutely enjoyable. I would love to see a follow up "the making of" kind of video. Ryan's helmet looks to be first generation, I was worry about its fragility while watching (and hole in the black torso was too painful for me to watch). I wonder why Lenny instead of Jenny got the pink suit though :) and the scene where Benny was floating into the second ship I thought he shouldn't be wearing the oxygen tank, or perhaps I was mistaken. Anyhoo it took a long time to make and it shows, the hard work paid off. Thank you for making this.
Wow thank you for your comment! Ive got a bunch of behind the scenes images and stuff but no clips, i may do a making of we will see. Making lenny pink i thought would be an interesting subversion since pink is usually a feminine colour though here he is the most masculine character. And yes there is a mistake with the air tank in space, which really annoying because him leaving the tank is very important to the story plus that shot took forever🥲. It is what it is, but im glad you liked it!
Lenny being the pink astronaut is canon. Jenny was always the white one. That's how the set they came in named them.
I actually had an idea of making a Lego space stopmotion. But now I realise that this exists and that nothing can top this. Pure Lego kino 👏🏼
I did too, but my idea I feel is different enough to still be made.
BENNY!!!!!!!!! MY BELOVED!!!!
This was an awesome movie. Never thought this type of drama, action, and philosophical banter could mix well with Classic LEGO Space, but you have certainly exceeded my expectations with this. Amazing work with this film, and I hope we get to see more awesome stories of yours in this universe of chaos.
Thanks man! Means a lot!
@@chickenstudios8991, of course. Hey, I got a question actually: do you think you'd want to make more brickfilms in this Classic Space universe of yours, 'cause I think there could be some really fun stuff you could do here.
There is a continuation to this storyline. It would be called BLACKTRON and follow benny and new characters involved in a rebellion againts the confederation. Its all planned out in my head, it would take so much time and effort tho. Im making a starwars project at the moment, maybe after ill come back and make the sequel.
@@chickenstudios8991, awesome. Can't wait to see both those things when they come out. If they're even half as good as this, I'm sure they'll be great.
that's some of the best I've seen in a long time
BRROOOOO!!! This was insane! such and amazing video you’ve created here. From the set design to the lighting, animation, cinematography and a fantastic story it was all beautiful. It made me wish I got to animate scenes in it it was that good, I love the use of colour as well and the way you created a innocent vibe with the style of characters but kept it brutal when it needed to be was perfect! This video was a treat to watch and I can’t wait to see more like this.
Thanks! Means a lot 👍
This is such an incredible film! I grew up with lego stop-motions, but coming back with more film knowledge, I can really appreciate the work that was put into each shot and the cinematography!
Wow! Imagine how long this took, great job!! Inspiring to many children to follow their dreams.
I would say that this is a pretty interesting and unique take on the Classic Space theme. Well done indeed and keep up the good work!
I love this movie every time I rewatch it
Glad you like it!
Really love the colour palettes of the shots
Thanks i try!
This is absolutely amazing! Definetly ine of the best brickfilms ive ever seen!
AWESOMEEEE!!!!!!!
I love how there's a bit of everything in this, some shots are slow and some are fast, there's some drama and some joke's. Overall this is a great film with a good story and I look forward to more.
bravo
Wow. Everything about this was truly beautiful! Everything! From the story, to the animation, to the music… just all of it. Very well done!
I’ve only watched the first chapter so far, but I just had to pause and say….this is absolutely incredible and so inspiring! 🙌🏻👏🏻🤯
I’m not long into my stop motion journey and currently in the process of developing a high quality sci-fi comedy mini series with some of the new classic space figures. So great seeing what you have done. I’ll be happy at this stage to achieve 1/2 the quality that you have accomplished here! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you so much and very glad it has inspired you good luck with your own project!
I loved every second of it, one of the best brickfilms on the platform!
Correct
As a film student currently studying VFX, I must congratulate the amount of effort that went into post. Easy enough to do in AE, true enough, but to go through all that trouble in every single scene: from the laser blasts, to the masking of the astronauts beside the mini-scale ships, all the way down to the subtle camera shake in the emotional scenes, all for a brickfilm, is serious dedication. One thing I will say is that one or two Dutch tilts could have been effective, especially in the scenes with Lenny, like the betrayal in part one. Would it have been so hard to elevate the sets on one side to achieve such an effect?
Thanks man! I did all the effects on Hitfilm which is a bit simpler than after effects so some of it took forever. Glad you liked it tho. I did do a dutch tilt in the airlock scene although it was a bit brief. A-lot more in my next project i think, its a star wars thing but some tense moments.
I dont know if you thought of this in the making but it makes perfect sense for Benny to have good aim, since blue is suppose to represent soldiers/security. Attention to detials eh?
This product’s made with gracious attitude and love of its creator, author, dreamer and music compilator. My pleasure to your passion on Lego animations!
"Those are tools, the gun is over there". Haven't laughed like that in years!!! Great, no, superb job mate!!!!
This is really good and very underrated! I hope more people get to see and enjoy this wonderful 27 minute classic space film!
I watched this while eating my breakfast. I did not except such a DEEP story! Already made my day, and I just woke up! Well done!
One of the best, if not THE best stop motion movie I've seen in many... many years.
Fantastic!
I love how you have the yellow astronaut an Italian accent
Appreciate your hard work Chicken Studios!
I wish I could have liked this video twice. It is very thought-provoking and poetically heart-wrenching. Hollywood needs to take notes.
wow one of the best story wise self made movies i've seen ever in YT. To it camera work and lighting great, music super, voiceed good, and im super impressed by the lego buildng, sets and everything. How many figures were destroyed for this though :D
Thank you! Really appreciate your comments they are very kind,I think only one figure was actually damaged and it wasn’t a special one.
This is breathtakingly good. The choice of dialogue, the direction and editing are sublime. Oh, but that soundtrack is perfection! Your construction of the sets are next level impressive. I was blown away by the story. Masterpiece.
That was fantastic. I hadn't seen the separate parts before so I got to enjoy it as a whole movie and which I'm very happy about. I think 1plaintext pretty much said it all in his comment, lol. Some things in particular that I liked:
- The action sequences. The exploding spaceship and the scenes leading up to it was very well done in particular. The tension really built up with each shot, which was great.
- The music. Really added to the atmosphere and helped sell that tension.
- The little jokes in the first parts. If anything, I would've liked to see a little more of that though I understand why, after Benny being shot out of the airlock and the spaceship exploding, there wasn't much room for funny scenes left, lol.
- The monsters. They really do feel like alien monsters both in design (love the clay/LEGO blend) and the way they are animated.
Great stuff.
🤗 thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it, i think it would have been nice to see the crew before everything went wrong and there were attempts of flashbacks in the script it just became a bit pointless so i cut it out, i might do some behind the scenes things where i go through certain scenes, we’ll see. Thanks again tho!
This is the Lego movie I always wanted as a kid
Excellent! The world-building, set design, and characters! It's great!
Part two please
My jaw was on the floor. You say this took three years to make, and every single second of it paid off. Not only have you made what amounted to the greatest brickfilm on youtube, but I think it's fair to say that what you've made amounts to great cinema in general. The character arc of Benny is one of the most dynamic I've seen in years, and I'm proud to say the lore you built was strong enough to hold a full season of tv. Keep up the good work, and Enjoy your latest subscriber!
Wow thanks so much for your comments this means a lot!
Finally, the movie Benny deserved!
Woah, i was not expecting that much. Very good movie!
This is a masterpiece. It is as colorful as it is dark. The world building and attention to detail is mesmerizing.
Incredible sound design, animation, voice acting, visual fx, color theory and so much more!
Congrats and thank you for making this!
It hits every note to what I envision Classic Space to be!
🪐
Thanks for your comment! It’s much appreciated and am glad you enjoyed the video!
The film is simply amazing, every time I watch it with new emotions. interesting and exciting plot, by the way, I started watching it when the very first chapter came out. but I want to ask you something, can we dub this film?
Thanks, you like dub into another language?
@@chickenstudios8991 yes
I have seen this animation twice, and still it amazes me till this day. Its probably best sci-fi lego stopmotion on this platform 🔥
Great lil' brick flick! Very moody with some nicely timed tension break-ups.
My gosh this is so cool, that moral that he was aware of becoming like
Lenny but he actually became same. So cool bro. I think that’s probably the reason why spacemen need the brown spaceman, he’s a true guard)
Well when I watched this twice I actually understood that he wasn’t the same, cuz he wasn’t the traitor and he wanted the peace only.
That's amazing dude, the storytelling, the camera shoots, literally all its perfect.
This is amazing so smooth and detailed
the music is so good!
Poor red space man, he was the best character.
This is a good film.
never say never, benny, you've just killed one
There's something darkly comedic about the dark subject matter contrasting against the bright colors and innocent smiling faces
This was the best movie i ever seen
Definitely top-tier
brilliant! "You know what we have to do, don't you?" -- best scene!
You have completed my childhood. I used to play with my Legos with this same storyline just like this stop motion
this deserves an oscar
It's the closest thing reminiscent of a late 70's space sci-fi film genre since at the height of popularity of Star Wars back then.
Thanks really appreciate it!
That was bloody amazing!
This is truly a great film! I wasn’t expected the gore though, but it looked amazing!
Well other than people’s innards being removed and replaced by robo parts there wasn’t any gore. Wait a sec….
AMAZING! This is the first ever LEGO stop-motion video that I have watched, and I am completely blown away. I know that stop-motion is a time-consuming process, so I can understand the amount of effort that had to be put into making this movie. FANTASTIC WORK!
I love this movie so much! It fullfills the plot perfectly but at the same time leaves me wanting more! Will there ever be more space themed stuff on the table for you? You have a real knack for it!
poor Benny he's all alone now 😖😢😭,
Emmet : it's my fault *crying*
