Wunderschöne Interpretation dieser relativ selten aufgeführten doch perfekt komponierten Meisterwerke im lyrischen Tempo mit schimmerndem Klang des historischen Instruments und mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Wahrlich genialer Virtuose!
Silly me, listening to this for 3:50min and wondering when the flute melody finally sets in. Only then I realized that it says Lute in the title xD Still excellent ;)
If there is something this album stands apart for is the sound. Miced very closely I would beleive, the instrument sounds warm and full and very detailed but never boomy, and the reverb is exquisite. There's quite a few noticeable edits, but that is soon forgotten. The playing is expansive, with remarkable improvisation in a few pieces. Definitely not your run of the mill sound when you compare to other famous players recordings, but nevertheless very enjoyable and I recommend the album.

Fou d'amour pour le Luth.
Très belle interprétation...🌷
Incredible, Bach was so sensitive to beauty, he understood it very well.

Brilhante de verdade
É raro ver brasileiro que aprecia a verdadeira arte da música de verdade, fico feliz com isso.
That reverb................

Hard to tell what kind of "lute" he is playing, but it does not sound like a historical baroque lute that Bach knew.
#bringbackthelute
is this music Bach originally wrote for the lute, or is it a translation from keyboard to lute?
It was mostly written for the lute. Some for the Lautenwerk, like the BWV 996 and 997
@@BrilliantClassics thank you so much for your response
The Partita BWV 1006a was originally for violin
They are the author's own transcriptions:
- BWV 995: from cello suite in c minor
- BWV 1006a: as said above, from violin partita in e major
- BWV 1000: from violin sonata in g minor
@@BrilliantClassics Some people believe it was not actually lute but a hybrid instrument called lute-harpsicord.
quel luth est utilisé?
A 13-course Baroque lute by Ivo Magherini
@@BrilliantClassics merci ! bel instrument sonorité intéressante !

The only instrument better than the lute is the oud.
