I agree... sometimes finding the right pencil is the hardest part. I tend to do a water based marker base then shade with pencils. Loving the flip thrus and your finished pages/WIPs.
Thank you so much showing the books. Love the cute animals one and the magical creatures. Going to add to my list of books lol. They need to do a million books on the mushroom person.
Still watching (LOL)... I haven't seen some of these as I jumped on the Lulu Mayo train pretty late. And I'm still not in love with any of them although the new magical creatures one is my fave. I think it's the paper. and that it's double sided.
The paper is definitely not ideal and I would love it if these were single sided so I could color with wild abandon. These images just say bright and happy and I can't achieve that easily with pencils. Or at least as easily as I can with markers.
@@elliemcgeeart I didn't even know lulu mayo was until now! So thank you so much uploading this video!!! Happy coloring! One day I'll add more coloring books to my collection. Right now I have Johanna basford, kerby rosanes, etc. But I want more.
@@moonenchantment4491 it's crazy how much great line art is out there for us to color. I posted my complete coloring book collection last year and it has grown so much since then! Happy coloring and shopping! 😆
@@elliemcgeeart thankyou! It is crazy! I just I could have discovered coloring Earlier in life. It might have kept me out of trouble! I would like to find a coloring book with pages with moon. Then practice doing galaxy's! Off subject. I watched video of people spray painting galaxy's or totally different world . just incredible.
I really like all your completed pages but I must say my favorite is the very last one you showed in the last book. The snow and shadows all came out sooooooooooooo good. I like the colors you chose to do this double page. Glad I found you and I am now a new subby ;o)))) Will you be doing color alongs or coloring tutorials?
Lovely Lovely.... beautiful coloured pages. I now need all of her books.I have a problem with pencils in this book as well. I found that budget pencils like Brutfuner and Cezanne pencils work
These are so great! I love your coloring style. I want to try the gesso and watercolor! What kind of gesso do you use and how many coats? I also wanted to tell you about another less well known book by this artist that is very cute as well. It’s called “ The worlds cutest animal coloring book” I think you’ll like it. Do you have any Rita Berman books? I would be interested in seeing a video like this one with her books. Or Deborah Muller. I love both of them! Take care and TFS!😊
I use liquitex gesso and just one thin coat is enough. I actually have that book and didn't add it to the vid cause it wasn't a million somethings but you can see it in one of my full book collection vids from a few months ago. It's adorable! I can do a Rita berman vid but I dint own a lot of Deborah Mueller books so I dont think I could do a good one for her. I will add Rita to the list tho. Thanks for watching!
Hi pix I found this video I have 3 of these books and this paper is such a challenge I struggle in these books that page you and Sara colored was amazing❤
Try wearing a rubber thimble that you can get from a store like Staples or Amazon as it may help you to turn the pages more easily when you do your flip thru.
I use a variety of pencils. Particularly prisma and arttx seem to lay down the best. But mostly I use neocolor 2s and watercolor in her books. I recently did a tricks and Treats video using Lyra aqaucolor in a Lulu Mayo book
How can I neatly do acrylic paint in the lulu books. Looks like the paper didn't buckle. What brand paint, which brushes did you use. I don't want the paint to streak. I am really intimidated by wet media on colouring pages. I just purchased some gelatos to try and maybe that will be easier to handle compared to paint. I love your colouring style so much!
I covered the page with gesso and used apple barrel acrylic paint with a cheap brush. I usually do two coats. There is a recent video in my color with me plaulist where I show how I use acrylic to do a background. Thanks for watching!

Somehow I make even water based markers bleed thru! I usually use only pencils in them which what takes me so dang long!
Whoo hoo, another video from my favorite Pixie! Beautiful pages ♥️♥️♥️
I'm so glad you liked it!

Yes, the paper is very difficult! I use my prismas or watercolor for most of my coloring in them

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to pick one up.
