Awesome video! I'd love to see a video where you talk about some sketchy situations or kitemares that you've experienced while kiting over the last couple years and maybe some tips how to avoid them! Because I‘m a beginner myself and I've already been into some sketchy situations where I didn‘t exactly know what to do or how to react.

Hey Whiplash, that is a great video idea putting real life situations and explaining how to get out of them. I'm a little overloaded on footage right now but I'll add that to the list and try to get to it. Hope you've made it out of the sketchy situations unscathed!

Hi, Mac! Yesterday was my first kite lesson. My teacher tells me that i progressive fast, we made body drag in water, but i still feel some fear. Can you tell me what speed of wind is security. I want to learn drive a kite for fun without any risky tricks.

Hey there! It's great to hear about your kiteboarding journey! First-time jitters are completely normal, and it sounds like you're making great progress already. 🤙🏽The ideal wind speed for beginners is usually between 12-15 knots, which provides enough power for you to learn but is not too overwhelming. Of course, this can vary depending on the individual's size and the kite size. Your instructor is the best person to advise on this based on their knowledge of the local conditions and your personal capabilities. Good winds to you! -Aaron

I'm 220lbs looking to buy my first kite, been riding sup with trainer kite, low wind mostly where I'm at. Any suggestions?

Hey Levi, that's great you've been learning with a trainer and sup. That's an awesome way to get started and perfect your kite skills. Depending on your average wind speeds and where you are at, I would recommend either a 12 or 15m kite with a 148+ board to get started. Give the guys at Mackite a call and they will set you up!
