- I recently got the WeatherTech dog ramp from my search for a lightweight folding dog ramp after not being fully satisfied with the PetSafe Happy Ride Extra Long Telescoping Dog Ramp. With all of its’ features, I think the WeatherTech pet ramp is one of the best dog ramps for large dogs and dog ramps for SUV’s overall. This video shares all of the features, a side-by-side comparison of the ramps and a quick how-to for teaching your dog to use a dog vehicle ramp.

Thanks for the video, it helped me to see the difference between the sliding aluminum ramps and the heavy duty plastic ones that fold. I ultimately went with the Petstep foldable ramp because it is wider, longer and heavier. It is virtually the same as the weathertec but the extra weight does makes it harder to lift but also makes it more solid imo. One thing I did myself and noticed you also did is that you lay the rubber teeth on a dog bed and I did the same except on the SUV floor liner. Seems like it is much more secure for the teeth to sink into the softer surface than laying it on the hard slick plastic bumper. Anyway thanks for the helpful video, your dogs are beautiful 😊

Definitely super helpful for training ramps and the different styles Tanks older with arthritis (not that he acts like it) so I started looking around for ramps

Could you use it in the passenger seat area vs cargo in an Ascent Subaru?
@@mtiongson3487 I would say no! My parents have the subaru Forster and I tried it with that and similar to my Nissan Rogue, most SUV’s from what I’ve seen don’t open up enough on the side doors to fit the ramp and have it connect to the seat or even the floor board if the car. But!!! If you’re needing help getting your dog into your car, I highly recommend checking out my video of the help em up harness. I got it for my XL dog diesel for his TPLO surgery last year and now we use it to help him get into the car, our tub for bath time so much more! It’s awesome!

It comes in black (I have the two other colors, ha!) and what I love about it is that the seat part collects any dirt, dust, water, etc. and the rest of it is such a great durable fabric that really keeps your car clean. I've had mine for years and every time I wash it I swear it looks brand new! I've tried SO many different ones and I won't go back to anything else! :)
