My only complaint every year is that there isn't enough coverage/ recap of each stage. I'd like to see more than just an hour of recap/ coverage in total for all the stages. Love this race though every year.
Completly agree, the app from the previous years is with very little coverage. Couple minutes for each category, UA-cam should be the place to show this race.

Some of us have been watching this race from when it started. At least now it is on Television. I strongly recommend that you buy at ticket and go and FEEL the Dakar.

My hopes for this year are for a great race with very few injuries and all involved enjoy all the stages of the greatest rally on earth!

Can’t wait, hopefully it’s not as difficult to find a channel showing it as it was last year in the UK. Seems to be flo racing who are showing it. £40 per month, or £159 for the year. Cmon guys, make this accessible.

The 2030 agenda is going to kill Rally Dakar. Every year fans and riders prefer other categories and events that remain true to the essence.

I sincerely wish all the best to the participants and organizers. But I won't watch. Dakar without Kamaz and Maz, without Anastasia Nifontova, is not at all the same rally raid that it was before.

There's not enough coverage of this race. And showing it on some obscure tv channel does nothing viewership-wise as hardly anyone even watches tv nowadays. And it's not like you're recuperating much of any of the cost by selling the rights to some obscure tv-channel either instead of uploading or streaming the whole thing on YT. Hell, you could probably make more money with superchats if you had live-streams and did things right.

Still waiting for a classic bikes category, better coverage on 10 min highlights with some Eurovision song contest type commentator, and actually go somewhere not just travel around in circles in one country.

There were no KAMAZ or MAZ at Dakar rally from 1979 to 1989 and 1993. Not a big deal. I would rather have Robby Gordon's Hummer.

As well in 1997 there were none.
Rather call it the Saudi rally. Without the legendary KAMAZ, its no longer the Dakar. Small minded finally drive a nail into this. Would not even bother to watch,first time since the very first Dakar was filmed.

I don't because KAMAZ team got 10 times more budget than other truck teams, the truck race was boring, no competition. It was nice when KAMAZ raced in the 90's and had close battle with Tatra, but after that.... So no loss for the rally.
Still the wrong place for the Dakar. The tv coverage is like some kind of tourist ad. A country I have been to and will never return to by choice. The terrible human rights history which are still ongoing. A backward country with lots of money

I just completed 1000km (no tarmac) , including some Dakar parts … Morocco / Algeria Sahara border ! 450KTM. (Horizon adventures) Highly recommended…
