I ended up watching a bunch of your videos in the last 3 weeks and I ended up getting myself a Klima Max after a stolen Segway and I am beyond stoked with it ! It is so fast omg the accidental wheelies I do all the time gives me so much adrenaline 😂
Thanks for watching all the videos and welcome to the channel Kade! First, sorry to hear about the stolen scooter. Stuff like that always sucks. Luckily, it lead you to the Klima Max! It’s an incredible piece of machinery, so enjoy the heck out of it 👊🏼. Just make sure you gear up when riding because life changing injuries can occur at the speeds we ride at. Anything that can help get you home to your loved ones will always be worth the investment!
Thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome to the channel Lenny! I never tried the first gen ones before but I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the new bike. It was zippier and faster than I expected! Would you say the older were slower?
Eyebahn Spine: AAAAAAHHHH, where’s the Icy Hot 🤣 I’m keeping up with the NYC e-bike law changes as well. I watch other e-bike videos, someone popping a wheelies in traffic, riding the opposite way of traffic or riding on the sidewalk. I’m like damn, ya’ll are making it harder for the rest of us.
Thanks for joining us again! Bro, I felt like Iron Mike after that ride. "I broke my back... ... my back is broken... ... spinal... If a sweeping ban hammer comes down, I'm not sure how long it would take the channel to pivot into a new space since the algorithm takes time to put you there. I just hope the community we have here would be willing to stick with me if that change ever comes. The hooligan riding style we're known for as a city and the stupidity of these moped guys are going to screw us over in the long run =(
@@eyebahnrides 🤣You're Welcome I'm just going to get a motorcycle License this summer, to continue riding my bike. You don't stop riding, you adapt and keep riding. 🤣 Excellent video.
I used the city bike for about two years it was cool but when i did the math i spent the equivalent of a nami klima with in one year so i ended up getting a klima.
thanks for joining us on this ride as well Nigel! I can see how the Citibike costs (membership + rental fee) can add up to a Klima after a year. that's pretty insane when you really think about it because you could travel on your own terms more comfortably for the same price as a service in which you have to spend alot of time hunting down a bike that works!
That e-citi bike is built like a tank. I think it’s the only ebike out there that’s actually water proof. These survived all the rain and snow we got this winter with ease. I would love for all ebike manufacturers take notes and implement similar water resistant standards to their bikes. Btw Loved the cleaning at the end 😮💨
thanks for joining us again Kahn! 100%. That's exactly what I was thinking while walking to FFR from the dock. I was like "why tf have we not taken what we we learned from citibike and applied it to all pevs". There's absolutely no excuse nowadays to not have a minimum of an IP55 rating for pevs. The only reason I could think of that would prevent them from implementing something like that is they make more by selling more units to people who break their PEV in the rain! hahaha glad you enjoyed it. Next time the scooter gets really bad I'll make that cleaning short!
Before I moved, during my last month in the city I rode an electric citibike for the first time as well! Mine had better suspension it seems... 😆But I agree that I was impressed and sorry that I didn't do it sooner. And yes, I would be open to seeing a board range of PEVs on the channel. Thanks! Be safe!

That really sucks… while most of the community just wants to get around and enjoy themselves, you always get a small number of people ruining everything for others. hahaha thanks for joining us anyway! I wish the Revel Mopeds were still around because that would've been a fun ride instead of the Citibike. I did enjoy it for what it was and I totally get why the general public would think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread lol
Now, why would I want to see a slow uncomfortable e-scooter or e-bike? No, stick to high performance scooters. As you say yourself it’s a time commitment to watch the videos and I don’t mind as long as it’s a scooter worth watching. I tried the scooters that litters our town and boy it was uncomfortable, no suspension and a 350w motor. Not only that, it was also expensive. Public transport a lot cheaper and heaps more comfortable.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the input Anders, much appreciated 🙏🏼. I’ve tried some of those loose scooters in Culver City 2 years ago and they were terrible and were basically useless. The worst part was, it was so freaking expensive (like this citibike ride)

While everyone is racing to see who can build a pev that will hit a pothole at 90mph, I'm heading in the opposite direction
70's low budget sci fi bike .
thanks for watching and welcome to the channel Lee! Apologies for the delayed response, I was quite sick and I'm finally just getting back to work and UA-cam.
Hahaha you're right. This looks like a bike "from the future" that they would've designed on a low budget sci movie back then! Nice catch
In a community called key biscayne were a kid on a super 73 hit A lady who was on her bike and she died. Now all PEV How do you suspended on the couch into further notice here it comes
Thanks for joining us for this ride as well Christopher! That really sucks… while most of the community just wants to get around and enjoy themselves, you always get a small number of people ruining everything for others.
Similar things are happening in NYC with the accidents and fires and people are starting to lose their mind over it. I hope it doesn’t lead into any “heavy handed” changes from the city!
Dude I cannottttttt do the dorkmobile. Nope nope nope mmm mm
hahaha thanks for joining us anyway!
City bikes and scooters are such a rip off. Annually they have made a huge profit on marketing and product placement.
Thanks for joining us on the ride! 100% agree with you. I couldn’t believe that short ride was that expensive. I get that it’s cheaper with a membership but is it really that much cheaper considering the annual membership is $220. They’re definitely making a killing from it
