When I first played this in 2019 after just getting it I hated the sudden change in controls that I went back to playing the previous games until 2022 I came back to this because I was used to the controls due to 2k22 and I barley before patch 1.08 still wasn’t much bugs or glitches active to me probably not playing career mode until now I can sorta tell its a bit weird with the target system especially I don’t know how to break the ring like power bomb on steel steps

Also: Don't even think about leaving and returning to Universe Mode during the middle of a show. The game will instantly re-book the whole show.
That sucks for me. Universe Mode is the main thing I do on 2K19, 20 and 22 because I get to run things. 19 only annoyed me when it replaced match slots with promos that I can't delete or replace with matches with sucks when I'm doing a tournament for a vacant title. 20 fixed that issue but 20 being 20 sums any problems with it. 22 fixed the 19 issue but if I leave Universe Mode so I can turn off my PS4 so I can do something else or go out of the house then go back in the next time I play, any title matches I made are now non-title. Thankfully I still have the option to edit them and can put the title back in but it's still annoying

@@areyourkidneyshealthy4283 That's what they did for finishers in the Gamecube WWE games and no one complained there. The control system used to change almost every other game when THQ was making it. Smackdown 1 - Shut Your Mouth, HCTP - SvR 2007, SvR 2007 - SvR 2011. I think it's ridiculous and lazy that they used the same controls since WWE '12 and am glad they shook it up a little.

Isn't it depressing to think that over half the roster in this game, this was their last game in the 2K series? Guys like Bobby Fish, Adam Cole, Kyle O' Reily, The IIconics, Mojo, Brain Kendrick and Harper. This was their final 2K game!
The worst game is more than half of the roster final game appearance for WWE lf I worked on this game I would upgrade the game by adding WCCW legend pack with few AWA ⭐️ arenas with their titles NXT and NXT Uk 🇬🇧 stars and other extra dlc and work on the bugs plus glitches in the game and make sure the gameplay is just like Smackdown Here comes the pain feel fast paced like it and the game control I would think about that like give you the option to change the controls for the finishers or reversals so on term also work on how many points are for wrestlers make them 500 PC just like arenas and championship matches and anything related to My Career Mode free like Smackdown games and lastly edit how many points you get in the game for one half star 75 one star 95 two stars 155 three 195 four 275 and 5 400 PC for 2k15-20 games to perfect them also do that for canceled 2k21 with battlegrounds on my career also each points I would double or triple them on my career

I'm glad you put the "bedsores" clip in here, because it sums up how truly awful the WWE2K20 story mode was. WWE has all these hollywood & college writers yet,... "bedsores." On top of that as Red you get beat up by an MMA fighter your entire life and throughtout your career starting in high school as if to put MMA on a pedestal and say pro wrestlers are inferior. I'm not even going to go into Samoa Joe's cyber arm. Was this even written by pro wrestling fans? I know weed is legal in California but was y'all so hard up at 2K that you started ingesting the stuff under the sink?! This the best 2K could do? I don't care if it's Brian Gewirtz, Vince Russo, Dutch Mantel, Kevin Sullivan, "Cowboy" Bill Watts, Michael Che and Collin Jost, Freddy Prinze, Jr., that guy who plays Shaggy, or the dog from Married with Children- They better find somebody to fix that mess in WWE2K22! Just make sure you leave that beyond awful Dave Lagana buried where he's at.

Here's the sad thing. Most of the character models and face textures that people love to bash 2k20 for...are from 2k19. Straight up copy and pasted. A lot of the ones that look janky here looked janky in 19 too.
But here's the kicker, the ones that looked fine in 19 look bad in 20 because of the lighting, and the specular and bump mapping. The models and textures are fine, but they tried to redo the lighting to make everything look better, and they fucked it up.

As for the whole locking shit behind VC in the career mode. Here's some bullshit. I just got 2k19 recently. Played through the entire career. First off, they didn't tell me shit about the prestige system, so I spent two whole chapters getting no XP until I finally googled the shit.
But I just got done making myself look decent, with the clothing I actually wanted...two fucking matches before the end. So I spent most of the career mode not dressed how I wanted, slowly buying each piece I needed. And I still didn't actually get the 13,000vc cargo shorts I actually wanted, or the bigger beard.
Thing is, I bought the $5 accelerator so I didnt have to grind vc to unlock wrestlers I would never use, just to download certain CAWs. So now, I have no use for VC. I could keep playing the endless career mode matches, but what's the point? All I'll be doing is upgrading my career character to make them better at career matches. Except it's not like a real career mode where you play actual shows or anything. You just do random matches because why not. I can do that in normal single matches outside of the career, and I don't have to pay for the parts on my CAW if I do that.
I guess if I want a real career mode, I'll just have to toss myself into a Universe mode and act like that's a career mode. Like, these new 2k games make me miss the dull 2k16 career. At least in 2k16, it was an actual career mode where you play shows and work your way up to titles and shit.

Exactly at least my career was better in 2k16 and 2k17 now it sucks. Especially for the fact they give your characters a name it’s just NBA 2k which sucks now too. I miss how wwe had season mode back in the day and my GM
The VC could be so freaking tedious in 2k19 I said screw it and unlocked everything, bought some wrestlers, and didn’t even bother with career mode any further.
It has NEVER been all that interesting anyway.
As for the character models.......I’m still annoyed they constantly copy and paste the legends without any kind of attire options. Swear only one with a change was Trish Stratus

That's why Career Mode is a mode that ended in 2K18, after that it was Season Mode/Road to Wrestlemania and was good, good stories, good feuds, good cutscenes, good VOs (except for the fake John Cena audio in 2K19) but those two weren't Career Modes, at all

1. The story was cringe beyond belief
2. You can’t use weapons inside Hell in a Cell
3. The referee is always getting in the way and depending on your match you choose he will sometimes not count when a pin is being done.
4. Your opponent is always faster than you
5. Difficulty is random as hell. You could be on easy and the game will play like it’s on legend and vice versa.
6. Being in front of your opponent and you go for a grapple or strike and your arms go through them like you’re a ghost or something but they can be on the other side of the ring and still hit you.
Dude, how you don't have more than at least 200k subs is absolutely CRIMINAL! This was so well done and I laughed my asssssss off! "I'll take 3 of them good sir" hahahahahaha

The showcase mode was so dreadful... every match there would be this stupid objective that says "get this person's leg to red health" and I would just sit there for a solid 20 minutes damaging this person's leg only to eventually get pinned and having to start over

I’ve just finished Terminator Resistance a PS4 version developed by Teyon a very small indie developer nothing like a AAA team that 2K has the privilege of having. This small indie game developer have produced a brilliant game with love and fan service in buckets, yes the graphics are not AAA standard but the story, variation of play, character development and incredible sound track Teyon have with a tiny budget produced a brilliant game and 2K produced a AAA cash grab this will never be forgotten or forgiven by the WWE community in my opinion.
Yeah hopefully you’re enjoying Terminator Resistance. WWE2k20 was a depiction of the year. I can’t believe they put this game out. I would be embarrassed to have my name on the credits.

The MyCarrer mode was one of the reasons I wanted this game. The concept of playing as a couple of best friends wanting to be the best in the WWE is cool, but the story doesn't have great character development.
I'm glad 2K22 and 2K23 are improvements from the trash heap that is 2K20.

I understand they have to make money and devs have to get paid but there's probaly a million more customer-friendly ways to do it, but locking me out of my canvas shoes I used for Chuck Taylor All-Stars, giving me no way to tell which is which because all items are a generic white and putting them behind a gambling system is not the way to do it.

At least 2k15 had snapping objects instead of slow floating ones. Made for some interesting matches like taking people out from across the ring with a ladder snapping taking the opponent out

When I first played this I only played it for a few days in 2019 and 2021 until 2022 I played it a while more until I continued 19 story career being better stories than this one ☝️ and I went back to 19 due to their controls being what I’m used to

I do have a suggestion: import the game modes to 2K19 and be done with it.
Man they just fucking destroyed career mode didn't they? Remember back with WWE 2K15 where people got pissed with the time skip and wanted to have control of their wrestler? They nailed that in either 17 or 16 I forget which one. But then they slowly started doing this ridiculously heavily scripted career mode and it has all come to this, something that is worse than the 2K15 career mode. I just want to make my OWN wrestler with my OWN backstory and have my OWN feuds and my OWN title matches and reigns. I don't want any stupid trash story 2K makes for me. Why can't they understand that?
the worst business decision they ever made was severing ties with yikes and thq to create their video games. SVR 2006-2009 was their peak.
WWE games peaked with WWE 2006. When I played the newer WWE games and you can't even leave the cage in a "Hell in a Cell" match nor play it with the amount of friends you want to, I realized every year all they do is downgrading the game to less functions.

I never had too many glitches. I had a visual glitch with Taker and in the Evolution match in the showcase where Charlotte fell through the floor and I had to restart the game

The issue with the slow, unfun, poorly designed gameplay in 2K20 is that everything felt like a chore and it has for years, even with Yuke's (It seems like the fresh start with AEW and the addition of AKI's Geta from WWF No Mercy fame gave them a much needed shot in the arm,) and yes I know that 2K and Visual Concepts were both breathing down Yuke's necks since their first project together ,WWE2K15. But the poorly designed gamplay of, "get your opponent down to red health, perform a quicklime event then watch a cutscene," has been a thing since WWE '12 when they still were under a rapidly going bankrupt THQ. Starting matches in an unconnected backstage then slowly running to the area you want, only to wait for the dimwitted AI to slowly follow and prepare for a canned animation, was not fun IN THE SLIGHTEST.
How does 2K get away with this?
The only reason I would still play this game is for the wrestlers that wernt in the WWE 2k19 game
People need to know about this GROSS online issue I discovered!
I recently purchased WWE 2K20 with my brother and we both realized a DIABOLICAL issue: During our matches, we would no longer be in each other's matches, and what I saw in MY ring, he would see completely different in their ring!
This means that players are under the assumption that they are playing online players when they are actually playing A.I even though the names of the players remain! It happened multiple times and on my screen, my brother got pinned and on his screen, he got pinned!
How many players are playing matches where they get disconnected from other players and never even know it!?
What also sucks for me is I can’t play any part of bump in the night without the game crashing in the loading screen

I have played this again and again I have only encountered 2 glitches with Bobby roodes robe and biancas ponytail but ever since I haven't had any glitches I still enjoy it I don't use create modes where most of the glitches are unfortunately wwe 2k22 has been delayed until the summer so we have to wait to see if its bitched about upon release

The same happen to me, played a few exhibition matches, then carrer mode, Universe a little bit and start with the showcase and said "Nah, I'm done", and proceeded to uninstall the game lol
The fact that they still charge full price after having Yuke's leave the company i think.. halfway through development? And a lot of 2K staff were quitting rapidly due to the direction of the company.. so those are 2 huge pieces to why it sucks ass. And it being full price is just 2K being 2K
They should have to make '21 a 16 bit game, give it out for free, and get 100,000 signatures of approval from WWE fans before theyre allowed to release another Triple A title.
