  • Applying a mix of naphthalene (crushed moth balls) and coconut oil on the street bull's maggot infected split hoof wound. Naphthalene works amazingly well at eliminating maggots from rotten wounds. I think the split hoof is about half way healed, but we need to check inside the wound to see if there is still rot in the center. About 90 percent of the smell of rotting flesh is gone. Probably another 10 or 15 days for the wound to heal and clean itself up.
