June 10, 2008 - August 7, 2022. He was a most beautiful and loving companion animal who brought continuous joy to my life. Even though his spirit is strong, I will miss him dearly.

This is about the tenth video of cats ringing bells to come in or be fed and in every case the humans kept them waiting so long I'm amazed they make the connection.
Geese... And here I thought I was clever for hanging actual bells on a string by the door for my cat to 'ring' when it wants out on the porch. This is awesome.
He waited one minute and five seconds before ringing again, that seems very reasonable to me, he was prepared to give his owner a second chance, however if he had needed to ring for a third time, then he may have had to have a quiet word..maybe a refresher training session for the sloppy owner...I mean how hard can it be..the bell sounds and you come and open the door, right?!

I had this maine coon , he couldnt reach the door bell but we have a brass door knocker he would rap about 6 times , i didnt always hear that across the house , but he knew that would get my dogs barking . he did this daily for about 5 years , the thing is , he had his own entrance with a cat door in one of the basement windows , he was just too lazy to walk around to the back yard , or the thought it was funny he could knock on the door and get the dogs barking . there was times when i would take my sweet ole time getting the door , he would get pissed and knock harder and longer
