Very intelligen human you are. Many people just want Devon to win, "no matter the costs". Its sad. very very sad. You want both athletes in their best shapes (100% healthy, not even talk about any weakness or injury) and then you watch them figth., but nooo.. in this case many people just dont care as long as THEIR SAVIOR Devon gets higher chances with it. All this might also be an illusoin, hype. there is the real possibility that Levan just beats Devon even with this state.
Unfortuntaly I agree 100%. The only chance for Levan would be a flop press off the go, which is very unlikely that he can be so good there. I have Devon winning 4-0 or at worst 4-1. I really wonder how Levan will take such a bad loss
Actually Saginashvilis only chance is to go full Michel Toddler and dive undertable, man he is so weak `n shieeet. Jeez imagine dude is ONLY able to wristcurl full grown man for reps pff i thought guy like Levan would be able to wristcurl like cow and automobile atleast. Raimonds Liepins aka coach Ray is able to wristcurl 80kg so he is litterally Levan Saginashvili. Infact i think only chance Levan got is that if Devon falls asleep when tryes to give us shou when holding poor Levan centre table and then Levans queensmove play big role in this one.
As much as I want the things you said to happen, I think its very easy to fall into the hype of devon. The problem is that we believe that just closing the gap and stopping the match is enough, but the truth is we have no clue how good of an arm wrestler levan is. We are under the assumption that stopping the match may be sufficient enough, but I dont think it's that simple. Levan is not just way too strong, he will also fight devon until the very end. Ermes only exposed levans weakness in a lane devon cannot fight from. Anything devon does to win will be a shock to me. Ofcourse I want that to happen, but objectively this is not an easy day for devon. I don't think he's getting a sweeping win.
But we do have an idea of how good of an arm wrestler is, as was expressed in his pre-alien transition and during his match with Ermes. He is a one-dimensional puller that relies heavily on overpowering his opponents. Look back on his matches against Genadi, Georgi, etc. Not only is he unable to transition to a press, we know for near certain that no one is going to win a height/endurance game with Devon. His best option if he gets stopped would be to try to press Devon from the go, but that's also very unlikely to work, not to mention that Devon's inside game has improved SIGNIFICANTLY since the Genadi loss, as well as the fact that his injuries have healed, so he would love to go inside Levan.
I know this... I'll be smiling for a damn week if Devon pulls it off! I like Levan, but Devons the reason I got back into arm wrestling about 4 years ago.. he just makes it exciting. I liked in wal.
That's exactly how I feel also! 💯% Been saying it for months. A lot of people are going to be in for shock at Levan's loss and Devon's win! It's going to be glorious to see this and Devon is going to be vindicated!!! 👑
I'll put it his way. If Devon comes back and wins this, it will be the first time I've seen a superheavy dramatically change the outcome in a rematch without a ruleset change or PED usage change.
@@e-ton2145 I suppose, although that match is a bit different because preventing the match from going to the straps is basically as big a difference as a ruleset change. Vitaly had a huge advantage outside the straps in both matches. I just don't see what Devon could change positionally to get in a better spot vs. Levan, and I don't believe you can get substantially stronger at his level of development short of upping the PED dosage, which he doesn't have as far of a runway for anymore. Setting a pr in a lift that you hadn't practiced before doing doesn't prove that you're stronger that before you practiced that lift. He might win, I just don't see how.
Another thing people forget about Devon is his mindset. Their first bout, Levan was too powerful to be at any psychological disadvantage, but now that the odds are closer to even, Levan is about to find out what happens when his opponent has more will to persevere.
Not sure if Devon will win, but he’s definitely closed the gap on Levan. If he’s able to get a stop, he’s going to need to ride the bull for a good while to tire him out. If he can do this, his chances are pretty good. The question is this… How good is Levan now, compared to when he arm wrestled against Ermes? If Levan is the same as against his Ermes match, then Devon wins easily.
Devon has that defensive move he used to stone wall georgi and the offensive moves that he used against denis, Devon has basically solved the geometry of arm wrestling. Where as many believe Levan to be this bottomless well of strength, but idk that is just delusional.
Totally agree mate at the end of the day he beat ermes easier than levan did? And no matter what the numbers say at the end of the day weight stacks don't arm wrestle back! Athletes change the angles and think! It's not that straightforward! Devon has got this!
All the numbers indicate the strength level is closer, but when the first match was a completely one sided blowout that saw Devon literally getting torn apart it’s going to take an extreme shift in strength for the match to even be a contest
In my opinion Ermes was able to stop levan cause his back pressure and rise was comparable to him, it was just his pronation that in all consideration was quite weak comparatively to people like devon and levan. Idk how strong Devon's back pressure is but i would be surprised if it was over 180, where levan im sure he can do 220 if not more. The gap is just to much, and to pair that back pressure with considerably more pronation strength im not sure how devon is going to stop him.
Ermes pronation is ridiculous. In fact I think he was able to stop him cause of bicep strength, back pressure, and pronation. I think next time Ermes pulls Levan he will do more of a dragging top roll using his body as that seemed to work in like round 2 or 3. But I agree I believe Devon closed that gap. If he stops him round one, Levan might not pin him once lol Crazy to say that. But Devon's insane. He's gonna try his best to wear the giant out round one and we know if the strength gap is close the endurance gap if tested is largely in favor of Devon. And by endurance game we're talking technique And endurance.
@@bendovaplz5329 Ermes pronation really isn't that crazy if you go look at his videos after the devon match hes doing the devon larratt pronation excercise with 147 and its pretty sloppy form, compare that to someone like devon who does 163, and someone like levan or supposedly did 176, its a really big difference.
You’re judging his pronation by lifts I’m judging his pronation by the Levan match In which it was activated the entire match and is what allowed him to continue pulling even after he lost his hand and wrist. I get what you’re saying, but without pronation Ermes would have gotten smashed to the pin pad every round like nothing. Did he have access to full pronation, no because Levans hand and wrist overpowered him.
@@bendovaplz5329 Levan has terrible endurance, it's his biggest flaw. It's one of the biggest reasons he had such a problem against Ermes. His overwhelming strength usually lets him win before endurance comes into play. Meanwhile, Devon's endurance is probably the best in the sport, at least in his weight class. The man just doesn't get tired, it's pretty wild.
The truth of the matter is that... Levan hasn't even been PINNED in seven years. It's crazy. I think Devon's got a chance but it will be one of the GREATEST offsets in armwrestling history.
In all the love that we do Share for Devon, We Tend to froher that levan is technical too. Versitile, much stronger, still Even with the Injury. Make no mistake, levan Improved his Stamina and lost weight too. Against all my hopes and the love for Devon as a true legend to the Sport, i believe Levan is going to win still.
Rewatching Ermes vs Levan I now feel certain that Levan can press Devon after a stop, Levan's wrist was going back in the attempted press because of the backpressure that Ermes was applying through the pronation, and even tho Devon has stronger raw pronation I dont think he can apply that type of pressure with his much weaker bicep so even if the wrist goes back a bit it wont stop him from getting pinned. And because of Levan's incredible rise and pronation I dont think the wrist will matter in any position other than close to the pad so I feel like he can sacrifice it when he has to pin using a press.
One guy is measurably stronger than he was, while the other guy is measurably weaker. Devon is lifting more weight than he used to, Levan is lifting less. Saying Devon closed the gap is not saying there isn't still a gap. It's just not as wide of one
Dude, look at his match with Georgi. Georgi’s hand and wrist are pure iron, Devon said he couldn’t do anything (caught on hot mic). I say Georgi is #3 #4 in the world. And Devon steam rolled him
Well you can have the best wrist and pronation or whatever, you can leave everything in tact WHILE you get pinned to the pad with a press. So what many EAST arm wrestler HAVE TO learn is to TIGHTEN their angles and also to push their shoulder behind, else you get PRESSED FAST.
Not delusional at all friend. The stars are aligning just right for Devon. I had no doubt the first time they faced that Levan was gonna be too much for Devon & that’s exactly what happened. This time, I feel exactly the way you do. People don’t wanna give Devon any respect despite his dominance in 2023. He’s levels above what he was strength wise & he’s also an amazing technical arm wrestler with unmatched endurance. Devon has felt Levan’s best already & I believe he knows what to do this time to counter it. Looking forward to this one for sure. I think it will be different this time!
Sweep is a tough one, I think it will be an all out war personally, I want Devon to win no question and I believe he can do it, either way I'll be glued to the screen come match day. Fact is Levan is an absolute monster, even if he is weaker than last time it still makes him a bad man, only thing im hanging on is round 1 last match before Devon got hurt, he got a slight stop there and that's all he needs. So there is hope, being a realist with bias on Devon im saying 4 to 3 Devon. Levan gets the early rounds and Devon is able to wear him out to win the match, lots of the Kings Move early will be ugly but a win is a win.
You have good knowledge of the Armwrestling game.. your a competitor yourself. You have analyzed very well past match ups.. and I believe you have done good here with your analysis of Devon and Levan and I agree with your prediction. I think there is a good chance it goes down just like you said.. if not a stop in the first round.. I think by round 2 or 3 for sure Devon can get a stop just like the way you explained. 👍💪🎃 I Subscribed officially.
Its difficult to tell. I lost my confidence about Levan when Ermes stopped him, Ermes was really good in that match. Levan was exposed to be quite limited in his armwrestling arsenal. So, yea, it does look like Devon has a big chance. On the other hand, styles make matches. What is a worry for Devon, is his frame, or the lack of it, and his strength, or the gap in strength between Levan and him. Did he really closed that gap enough so he can counter Levan power like Ermes somewhat did. Ermes was beastly strong in that match, just didnt have a wrist. And still, Levan was stronger. Devon wasnt really stronger than Ermes, he simply had a way better hand and he made Ermes look like an amater during the setup, Ermes lost that match mentally as well. The one interesting match is Genadi, where Genadi wasnt intimidated by Devon. But Genadi has that flop press ability. Does Levan have a flop press to attack Devon, just in case. I dont know. But what you are saying here is not unreasonable. Its definitelly possible. I can see Devon dominating Levan, its surely a posibility. But, i think its gonna be a bit tougher than that. Really difficult to say. I think this time, im going with Devon 4:2 to make an upset comeback. I think Levan gets the first one, and third round. But gasses out after that, and Devon sweeps him. And i im not a delusional Devon fanboy, i just didnt see enough versatility ftom Levan to convince me otherwise.
Yeah, Levan's arsenal is limited and he's always been able to make up for it with brute force. If you get someone even remotely close in raw power but with a better game in the right areas, Levan will have problems. We saw that against Ermes, but he wasn't quite good enough to push through and take it. I'm really pumped for this match, there are a lot of different ways this could go but I have a feeling Devon has the tools to make it happen this time.
@@andreacaruso150 the only thing i think he was wrong about was how big of a difference Emeres back pressure makes vs Devon's... this maybe be obvious to say and its been said before but if someone had emeres' back pressure and devon's pronation then that'd be the ultimate combo to toproll levan, its evident Devon didn't have the back pressure to pull levan out of his press, and ermes didnt have the pronation to stop levan's cup
I agree with your analisys, BUT we should also consider another possibility. What if Levan doesn't try to pull outside and he goes inside like Genadi did (hook/press). Genadi managed to do that and Devon could not pull outside. Levan has certainly the power to replicate that scenario. What do you think?
Levan couldn’t press Ermes. He tried and got stopped dead when his wrist went back. I’d have to see him succeed with it before betting on it against Devon.
@@ChrisDrummondAWI agree, but the problem is, in Gennadi vs Ermes match, Gennadi tried to flop press Ermes too during a round when both guys were stopped, but Ermes 's arm didn't move at all. But I doubt Devon's arm couldn't move at all too if Gennadi didn't attempt a flop wrist press right at the go but instead during the fight. I hope Devon wins...
@@ChrisDrummondAW true, but Levan tried to press Ermes AFTER he went for the toproll. What if he tries to hook/press Devon from the start? Genadi (whose wrist is certainly weaker than Devon's) did it and Devon could not stay outside. I suspect Levan may try something like that, he told Engin he is working out 5/6 hours per session, I think he's doing more than just bicep and wrist curls.
This match will be a battle of attrition. Levan will start out at a 10-15% strength boost but will fade quicker. If Devon can tire him out quick enough he will slowly take control of the match. If not it’s going to be a sweep. Devon being much stronger and Levan weaker than last time makes this match much much closer.
I remember noticing how nervous Devon seemed on stage the last go around. He knew he was facing an unstoppable force. I’m sure he’s going to look much different this time in terms of his mindset.
I hope your right I really do I love both guys and Devon wants it more I think and for Devon’s size he is pound for pound the best by far Levan is so good because he has over 100 pounds of muscle and huge bones. But I still think it’s a repeat of last time Levan is just a machine of strength but I think this is Devon’s last hurrah
Another thing that I don't see anyone bringing up is that Devon legitimately looked terrified to be at the first match because of the reputation Levan had built up by that point. That's really, really unusual for him. He's never gone into a match scared before. The mental game has always been one of his best assets. He probably went in thinking he would lose so he had no chance to begin with.
I have to have Levan as a slight favorite until I am shown otherwise. But last match I had it like 90-10 Levan. This match it’s like 55/45 at most. Rooting for Devon tho let’s go I can’t wait!
This is my take as well, right to the T. Personally, I believe Devon will win 6-0, or 4-0. The world is going to be shocked when Devon makes it look easy. We are going to see Devon smiling at Levan, saying “yeah big boy!”
Levan wins the first 2 rounds for sure. I predict that Devon will finally get a good stop on the B-side in r3. After that I have no idea what will happen but if Levan has a good press then its game over for Devon 😢
People dismiss that first round Devon vs Levan, there was a stop small yes but a stop,Devon has long been know to beat bigger oponents when he gets the stop.
You are 100% correct and still you look like a Devon fun boy.. but to be fair, everybody should be a Devon fun boy when he fights this East Hormones Monsters.. there is nothing exciting in looking them winning against more regular big harm wrestler..
Agree to most of the analysis except the 20% stronger notion. I don't think those specific lift numbers translates to 1/5 increase in strength. Maybe around 1/10

@@XYZZYX-g3lmost people just want their guy to win..and trash the opponent.. they're fans of an athlete more than fans of the sport itself

Unfortuntaly I agree 100%. The only chance for Levan would be a flop press off the go, which is very unlikely that he can be so good there. I have Devon winning 4-0 or at worst 4-1. I really wonder how Levan will take such a bad loss
Tranquillo levan lo distruggerà😂

Very logical take Chris, I always learn a lot from watching your videos.
Thank you for this brillant analisis coming from the multiverse
FINALLY someone who can think and who is intelligent.
@@zaryol2338so devon can add 20% to all his lifts during this prep but levan can't learn how to press

That's exactly how I feel also! 💯% Been saying it for months. A lot of people are going to be in for shock at Levan's loss and Devon's win! It's going to be glorious to see this and Devon is going to be vindicated!!! 👑
I've been saying Devon for the win
Posted before Denis and ermes
I'll put it his way. If Devon comes back and wins this, it will be the first time I've seen a superheavy dramatically change the outcome in a rematch without a ruleset change or PED usage change.
How about Chaffee vs Laletin?
@@e-ton2145 I suppose, although that match is a bit different because preventing the match from going to the straps is basically as big a difference as a ruleset change. Vitaly had a huge advantage outside the straps in both matches. I just don't see what Devon could change positionally to get in a better spot vs. Levan, and I don't believe you can get substantially stronger at his level of development short of upping the PED dosage, which he doesn't have as far of a runway for anymore. Setting a pr in a lift that you hadn't practiced before doing doesn't prove that you're stronger that before you practiced that lift. He might win, I just don't see how.
love ur take!
You sold me... but I'm a fan boy 😅
Another thing people forget about Devon is his mindset. Their first bout, Levan was too powerful to be at any psychological disadvantage, but now that the odds are closer to even, Levan is about to find out what happens when his opponent has more will to persevere.
Just found this dudes channel pretty awesome content
I think this is bang on
My exact assessment…
Very good analysis. I think Devon will get the stop, just don't know if it's round 1 or 2.
Levan vs Ermes was my favorite Levan match so far it was just too exciting but this will probably take it's place and I hope it does
I think Devon will stop him in the center round 2 or 3
Not sure if Devon will win, but he’s definitely closed the gap on Levan.
Been feeling the same way, Mr. Drummond
😂 It's not even Apr 1st good one 😂
Devon has that defensive move he used to stone wall georgi and the offensive moves that he used against denis, Devon has basically solved the geometry of arm wrestling.
Where as many believe Levan to be this bottomless well of strength, but idk that is just delusional.
This one is particularly funny to me
Totally agree mate at the end of the day he beat ermes easier than levan did? And no matter what the numbers say at the end of the day weight stacks don't arm wrestle back! Athletes change the angles and think! It's not that straightforward! Devon has got this!
All the numbers indicate the strength level is closer, but when the first match was a completely one sided blowout that saw Devon literally getting torn apart it’s going to take an extreme shift in strength for the match to even be a contest
It's got to do with a lot more than raw strength. If it didn't, Ermes would have crushed Devon after his performance against Levan.
Devon is going to beat levon in dreams
I am sure devon does not even dream about it… lol
Levan was extremely overweight against Ermes. Appreciate your statement Chris Bowen.
I definitely think it's possible. Maybe not the first round.. but he's gotta drain some horsepower out. like Ermes did. If he don't get hurt.
The truth of the matter is that... Levan hasn't even been PINNED in seven years. It's crazy.
I think Devon's got a chance but it will be one of the GREATEST offsets in armwrestling history.
Hell, perhaps in all of sports history.
Ohh man
Agreed across the board!
Great insight Big Dog
Rewatching Ermes vs Levan I now feel certain that Levan can press Devon after a stop, Levan's wrist was going back in the attempted press because of the backpressure that Ermes was applying through the pronation, and even tho Devon has stronger raw pronation I dont think he can apply that type of pressure with his much weaker bicep so even if the wrist goes back a bit it wont stop him from getting pinned. And because of Levan's incredible rise and pronation I dont think the wrist will matter in any position other than close to the pad so I feel like he can sacrifice it when he has to pin using a press.
And it seems I was right good good good
It's strange for me to see a guy like Chris who understands this sport very well to really believe that Devon has closed the gap with Levan
To help conceptualize the difference 20% makes. Have someone 5-'11" stand next to someone 7'-1".
i beleive too. i'll be there to see it live
What if Levan comes up and engages press? Can Devon hold that
He couldn’t press against Ermes at all. He hasn’t shown the ability to press with a compromised wrist at all.

Dennis is a shadow of himself. Devon got stronger, do the math.

I want to believe. I truly do
I remember noticing how nervous Devon seemed on stage the last go around. He knew he was facing an unstoppable force. I’m sure he’s going to look much different this time in terms of his mindset.
Yea until that first pin lol
That what they thought the last time and Devon lost and Levan tore his bicep, I wouldn't be so sure
Levan was a fool to take the match so early after his significant wrist injury. Didn't have enough time to legitimately peak into his prime strength
I have to have Levan as a slight favorite until I am shown otherwise. But last match I had it like 90-10 Levan. This match it’s like 55/45 at most. Rooting for Devon tho let’s go I can’t wait!
