Devon was way outside top 10 after surgery in early 2010s. Then worked his way up but got stuck with MT and Dave Chaffee. Had to pull so many kings move. He looks to just be looking at Levan from way outside top 6.
Came back after COVID and destroyed absolutely everybody, maybe except Genadi. MT, Dave, old John, Denis that just came back, Ermes. As a fan of his from 2020 I can’t believe that his prime is now

The beginning of the video shows Devon truly has the best sportsmanship. He gave all the credits to his opponent, never blame anyone or anything no excuses. Go home and train harder and come back stronger this time.

I don't know about that, this is a different Devon from 2022. Devon has trained completely differently right after the Levan match when he got stem cell treatment! No more high reps with low weights. Devon has trained with 1 rep max thereby gaining a 20% increase in weight lifting since Levan!

nah, devon dodged the european greats in 2000s and 2010s.. He only fought recently with the stem cel technology... Devon is great but Brzenk will always be the goat.
Every athlete needs a great adversary to become legendary, Muhammad Ali needed Frazier, so does Devon and Saginashvili need each other in order to built their legacy which will last for generations.

I'm not going to say Devon will win or has a chance to win. But what I will say is...
I will NEVER doubt Devon ever again. After Ermes and Denis. There's literally no reason to believe Devon is a hack. And he didn't even needed kings move to win against Ermes and Denis. I am very excited for this match. I am just going to wait and see whats going to happen.

Great montage and fantastic analysis. It's an incredibly hard match to predict due to the different fields of strengts the athlete are bringing to the table and for the unknown variable present in the match. Im certain the match will end with an incredible dominant performance from one of the two and we will have our hands on the head thinking "how did i not see it coming, it was so obvious". Let's wait for the match.

Stopping Levan's side pressure will be the biggest task of Devon's entire career. If he stops Levan very close to pad, it won't help much. If he stops Levan few inches above the pad, there might be a chance. 1st 2 rounds will be the ultimate test for Devon. If Devon starts getting some stops from round 1 and round 2, even after getting pinned in the 1st two rounds by Levan, Devon might win after 3rd or 4th round securing a 4-3 victory which is less likely to happen. If Devon is flash pinned by Levan in the 1st 2 rounds, it's again 6-0 for Levan. Let's see if Devon does the unthinkable or Levan remains the ultimate test for anyone from arm wrestling community.
Levan weakness only if you can advantage on flop press like genady.

I love Devon, but I just don't see it. He's a freak and can breakdown any opponent with persistence, but Levan is just too strong. He's too overwhelming. The one main thing Devon is missing is that raw explosive power to catch Levan off guard and keep him on his back foot. Levan will sweep the match

I think its very promising seeing how we had a gap their between Ermes Vs Levan and Devon Vs Ermes. The fact that Devon was able to plow through him was insane, and that day I would consider Devon to be stronger then Levan. Not only is it that match but also the rest he has done, especially with Georgi, which is literally a mini Levan and has the same style as Levan... I think Devon has this in the bag. That Ermes match against Devon speaks volumes.
I think this was one of the best analysis I’ve seen so far. I look how far Devon has come. but then I look at Levon‘s sheer size and power and then my mind keeps on going in a loop. It goes back-and-forth from look at this Hulk but if there’s anyone that can do it Devon no limits can.

I don't think it's that complicated. Levan is not going to beat Devon on a technical basis. It's all about base power strength gap. If Devon puts the stop on Levan and makes Levan reach it's a wrap. If Levan is just that much stronger and can make it wrist to wrist it won't matter because on top of being very strong he is a very good armwrestler too. Gonna be fun to watch!

I have no certainty here because Levan is Levan but I believe Devon is smart enough to avoid injury again. He also now has the data he needs on Levan and he has levelled up even more since their first match. I've said all along that I think Devon getting the stop is totally possible, in this instance Levan needs to hope and pray he is enough rounds into the match for a stop not to matter. He was saved from Ermes by the match format whereby 6 rounds don't matter, 4 does.
I put my money on Devon last time and I'm happy to back the underdog again.

He doesn’t avoid injury. If he goes into the match and avoids injury that means he is not giving it 100%. He said this himself. He will either get injured again or win.
@iZephiroth It's painfully obvious what I meant regarding the injury. Devon is willing to do whatever it takes to win even if it men's getting injured, it's his soldier mentality. In this sport however, rarely will getting injured get you a win, Devon has the data to avoid it this time. I'll put your crayons back away now.
It's all about Levan's wrist injury. With such a massive unknown the match feels impossible to predict.
Those who train longer, harder and with more commitment to overcome impossible odds may still fail. The courage of knowing this and still doing it is legendary.

Hearing Devon list the "maybe's" and realising he has ran through almost all of them, you can see why he has changed his mind on his own chances. I don't think this is the same Devon as the one who faced Levan last time and I also don't think it is the same Levan. Devon has definitely levelled up since then while Levan has likely regressed slightly. I still think Levan is probably going to win but this isn't a sure thing.

If Devon can hold off Levan's attempt to flash pin 1-2 rounds, he probably has a chance to close out the match. Vice versa, if he cant its game for the Georgian Hulk. I honestly think the biggest challenge for Devon is this mental barrier that he will need to overcome. Losing 6-0 is deathly. The man has been doing really well with his current form, but all it takes is just one pin in the 1st and that might possibly be the end of the match. Because when you get on that center stage, your flashbacks, the intensity of the room, the atmosphere, the expectations will weigh down on you, and its just a matter if you are able to compose and gather your bearings. You can have all the strength, the power and techniques you want but if you dont have a clear, conscience and calm mind, it might be an overwhelming task to execute. Hoping Devon to win this!
Devon has faced death several times before in his life. Don't forget he was a special opps soldier for over a decade. He was literally a breacher (the guy who goes through the doors first). Believe me, he has seen some shit.
I don't think a match, as big as it may seem, will be able to break him.

I love Devon. I want him to win. Someone who dedicates himself in the way he does for something we all clearly love. I want him to succeed.
But the difference in Muscle-Mass is just ridiculous. If we weren't already at the top, they would clearly be in different weight classes.
If he wins anyway, he is the Best of all Time without question. The B.O.A.T if you will.
But in my humble opinion, it is just too much to overcome. If Levan was just strong and a decent Arm Wrestler... maybe. But he is way to good to make up for the strength difference by being better.

I only been watching arm wrestling for like 3 weeks now because of Larratt so that’s who I’m rooting for and I think he can do it. But I respect Levan’s power and legacy in this sport so I know it won’t be an easy feat for Larratt.

Upon Devon's entrance song, Neil spots something in Devon's hand. He can't make out what it is, as the questionable object is shrouded in a canadian flag. Devon reaches the table, the crowd, wicked grin plastered across his face. He makes his way toward Levans seating area, where the hulk paces back and forth with an demonic snarl that warps his face. Eyes squinted, a half smile half glower appears on Devons face, as he unravels the curious item. The camera man attempts to make visual contact, but to no avail as the man from the frozen north keeps it covered as he places it on Levans's seat. The camera flies to Levan, as he see's what Devon has given him. The hulks snarl vanishes, along with his rage, his face pales as he raises his head up while staring down deeply at the o2 tank and mask that his competitor had just given him. His eyes then dart to Devon, who is already at the table with frozen, dead pan look. "The time has come, Levan. Let us begin".
If devon can somehow get a stop at any point levan will be in trouble. Whether he gets it or not remains to be seen.

Levan has a press, he couldn't use in the ermes match due to being too heavy and that slows down his transition
@@ROoOKai Levan is going to be way heavier for Devon than for Ermes. So that press is out of the question likely. Levan is going to be ~430 and he is going to just plummet that weight onto Devons arm and pin him with sheer force. That's his plan anyway.

Levan either overwhelms him with alien strength, or Devon stops his hit and wins 4-1, with Levan not being able to continue.
I don't think anyone can beat levan but whoever is willing to challenge him is a legend himself. And Devon don't it for the second time after he tore his biceps the first time, thats something else. I'm proud of him no matter what.
Devon is hoping to WIN because he is still filming his documentary for like 4-5 years now and wants to end it with a WIN against Levan!!!
I had no illusions that Levan would lose in that first match -- it was clear he would win, and did win. Then in Levan vs Ermes, we saw Levan really struggle to the point where despite winning, he had to stop the match That was a bit of a surprise. This provided an opening for Devon. Then Devon beat Ermes... Devon seemingly keeps getting stronger. I think he has a decent chance. Definitely will watch the Match April 20.
And Devon beat Ermes and his flop press more convincingly then Levan too, very interesting match this will be. He also has felt levans technique now too and can try to counteract it
devons initial reaction to losing the first time, saying that levan is the king and theres no point of a rematch, is probably pretty accurate. now we've all had time to forget that so we can get excited for the rematch, but in reality we now the result.
