"Out of the deep," and "Let all things now living"

I am profoundly sorrowful and shaken to my core, as if caught in a nightmare in upsidedownsville. I do not want to spark a debate. I want to encourage the hard inner work and activate the strength of character required to face the fears I seek to hide. And to recognize where I have injured others, especially when I failed to see or understand them. I know I need to sit with my own feelings of sorrow, despair, and betrayal before they metastasize into rage and cruelty. Then, I need to shake the dust off my feet and take whatever the next right step is.
This music video is meant to be a companion in sitting, for a moment, with grief. Just as surely as dawn follows the darkness, however, joy will come in the morning. "The light shines in darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." Let the second part of this project be an extended helping hand to pull you out of whatever black hole has a pull on you. Let it rekindle hope and joy.
O God, give me grace to see where I have caused others to feel injured or betrayed. Help me to forgive myself and others. Help me to live the values and follow the example of your Son. Open my heart to make way for You. And help me to listen.
