- We made it to Burnet Texas in our RV to attend the Texas Eclipse Festival 2024. There is a total solar eclipse passing right through the festival and it will be the last one in the USA for more than 20 years. If you have never seen a total solar eclipse, it is pretty Amazing. We saw the last one in 2017 and were blown away by how cool it was.

I live 4 miles from Burnet, the madness really started here yesterday. We loaded up on everything we will need for the next week and are not leaving our property. It looks like a good time but we can watch it from home and avoid the traffic.

Hope the storms are not too bad where you are on Monday. Not looking good anywhere on the Plateau. Stay safe. We decided to stay home and just get a 90% eclipse. The weather was just not looking like it was going to allow viewing.

Love it I’ve been through Burnett many times on the way to our deer lease south of Fredericksburg Y’all should do a video tour of the hill country Fredericksburg is great Luchenbach is down the road lots of bed and breakfast spots beautiful scenery LBJ Ranch is near Llano Marble Falls is cool Johnson City San Antonio is just to the south The Guadalupe river has great floating and rapids The historical town of Greene right beside New Bransfels An awesome steakhouse and the world famous Schliterbaun water park

Just watched the total solar eclipse from my back deck in Arkansas. We did not have large crowds or wait times. Not very many events though although the small communities did have some. I hope you get a good view of the eclipse.

Just so you know this is not the experience that other people had. My mind is blown seeing where you guys were compared to where everybody else was. We were in "Over Yonder" and it was brutal.

@@chumleyex yea because no one knew any directions. It’s up the hill next to the general store. Because I surveyed the whole place while it was being built I knew all the shortcuts and the layout. So the experience for me and whoever wanted to follow along was epic. That hillside with the yellow flags also is where all the Artist and people who didn’t listen to the security scaring everyone away (from the best spot) got to see Totality when the festival shut down. Music was still being played and it was still a rager. Same thing with the water - because we were by the family section we had unlimited great water. It’s a just strategy and knowing how festivals work. Especially new ones that pop up.

Festival goers are requested to pack up and leave by the event production staff and organizers. This is verifiable information provided by the event today and confirmed by my friends at the event.
