Oh dear thank gawd Tchaikovsky Strauss' Burleske ,Brahms 2 concerti-forget Reger violin and piano concerti.forget Delius and 100 others written between Weber's Konzertstuck and this .Somehow the 2 Liszt concerti and Toddanze -really show what a remarkable composer he too was . So much romantic era they were trying to get to where we are now PerNorgard,Ligeti Rochberg's wonderful violin concerto .Our era must have about 200 violin and piano concerti worth all the diamonds in the sea . What did people play back then if they didn't play the 6 or 7 non lame works . Mendellsohn ? All these eccentric composers horsing from town to town with their awful music . Busoni taught himself a lot . I hope I get to love the violin sonata one day .Seems he wrote 3 of them Szigeti even played his music . Furtwangler memorized and conducted it . I gotz a lot to learnlearnzee ! Wirklich argerlich ! What is actually is memorable here it's worked out well but even the rousing ? last part is just . Well without t.v. and slow life of 19th century and the persoalities .Maybe it was magic for a moment .But what could have been like to hear Bulow in the Tchaikovsky concerto .What did Brahms and Liszt think of it .
