I remember that I struggled so hard to beat the robot Torizo on the highest difficulty for a while because I didn't know you could roll between its legs with the morph ball
if you arent good at dodging try to follow the tester to the corner and shoot the cannons before they shoot. Power Bombs are also an option for quick damage
@@wcw2793 Genesis is a minor enemy in Metroid Fusion that you see shortly before the fight with the X parasite version of Ridley. There's a dark corridor Samus goes through and it's full of them, but they are all either above or under the ground and while you can see them, you can't hit them and all they can do is spit acid through the floor at you. You can kill them with power bombs, but that's about it. I like what they did here, giving it its own boss fight.
Those metroid fights really suck. They should have been much shorter like in the original, or better made like in Samus Returns. The Tank prototype is also a bit underwelming, it's a lame fight and comes out of nowhere. Ancient Guardian is perhaps a bit simple, but it's a nice tutorial. Torizo and the Tester were fantastic fights, some of the best that the 2-d metroids have to offer. I can't comment on the others, I haven't fought them yet(I somehow missed Arachnus)

Most enemies in Metroid do contact damage so I wouldn't say so. The games actively train you not to touch enemies.

Not to say they ripped it off but Metroid Dread always felt to me like it took some notes from this game.
I would have liked to see how you avoid the hit during the Tester's blue attack, but it didn't even come to that.
