Imola is fabulous. I do wish they’d bring back the Nurberg ring too! And please Michael, help to bring back the Grand Prix in France. It makes no sense not to have one here!

So useful, thank you. Imola brings back sad memories, RIP Senna, you were one in a million, there will never be another. 30 years ago this month, May Day actually, it's only like yesterday.

These are such good F1 vlogs. Hoping you get the right F1 machine backing you somehow get a serious increase in views this season. You truly deserve it,

Great stuff Michael thanks for the invaluable tips and tricks hoping to see some Great shots.
I remember Monaco in 83, sat up all night in a coffee shop taking cat naps with an Australian photographer with a Hasselblad body and lenses in the metal case, jammed under a little cafe table between us. The Aussie bought us coffee all night, in the morning I found a spot on the wooded hill just before the jog into the pits. I seriously tranced out, the sound of the cars deflecting off the track and up the hill physically shook my core, they sounded like other worldly beings screaming. I dodged several police patrols on the road above my spot well hidden under foliage. The bush beaters never found me yet I had a great view of the track and 10 french franks in my pocket for three biers after the track walk after the race, and a long hike back to Zurich. Pure adventure!

Wow, that is a brilliant story. Do you happen to remember the name of the photographer?
The sound of those cars must have been insane. I heard V10s around Monaco which was epic… but the Turbocharged cars in 83 would have been something else entirely.
Good stop to have watched from I think now you can buy a ticket to sit there.

@@MichaelPottsF1 absolutely - the guide was a great preview of what to expect - and even got me more excited to watch the race in real time (normally, I will skip watching the race in real time and watch it if I have time later on at my leisure). But definitely, this vid. is a great build-up to the weekend. I know it's back-to-back with Monaco next, but hope you have time to make a Monaco A-Z Guide. Enjoy the race!

Really great video Michael! The history was very interesting. I love the photo of what I think is a government building. Stunning. My son and I saw the film Senna in 2007/2008? I eventually found a Blueray copy that was playable on a North American player, so we could watch it again. It is such a good film. 🙂🇨🇦
