Anyone else wishing to watch the plants actually being cut up, dug up, surface scratched with the multi tool and plants being reset. I been missing those videos😁
That yard is so healthy and colorful! Thank you for repeating the names of the plants. I’m slowly learning the names of my succulents. I love the orange California Sunsets!
I learned to 'stage' broken pots from you, Laura, although I also do a lot of re-gluing, if possible. The re-staging has saved me a lot of tears when one of my favorites breaks. Thanks for this, and many other great tips.
I wish I could plant succulents on the ground, but we have an average of 26 typhoons annually and a very wet monsoon season. But I am upping my game on container planting and following your advice on applying the principles of design on a smaller scale.
The broken terracotta pot reminds me of your broken Talavera pot which would look amazing... I hope your client gets you to stage a piece because the colour of their bench seat x
Oh my goodness. Love it. I’m fixing to go big on a cacti garden In Loving memory of my precious mom. I’m getting so many ideas with your beautiful landscaping. I just love it all. You’re the best. Thank you for the inspiration. Blessings!
Good morning 🌞 Laura! I am truly in love with all your work with sacculent and cactus 🌵 I have see all your videos of the work you have done in San Diego, CA. My name is Carolina and I lived in Stockton, California. I have a few questions, can I plant sacculent and cactus in the ground in September and what sacculent and cactus I could use?
I love the steps that go over the dry stream bed. Wow the pedolampus macro carpus came out looking really good (before: 3:39 and after: 13:47). I wish I could've seen how you take out the barrel cactus. haha
Have you ever thought about going to one of your nurseries where you get your plants from? That way, perhaps we can see more of these awesome plants plus maybe get some tips from the growers themselves also?
Wonderful video, as usual, Laura! We’re still chilly here, but remaining patient for the sun......only just! Lol! I have most of these specimens but they’re new, so everything is teeny tiny in comparison as well as some being partially crispy due to the winter winds........isn’t gardening great? You get pushed back down every now and then but hope prevails! What a good owner here.......I’d put in a Talavera something to echo the bench, but it’s really perfect now. Congratulations on the heart foundation $1000! Love xx
No one knows exactly what inspires a plant to crest. Basically is a selective cell mutation that causes a distortion in the growth/shape of the trunk and leaves. It’s a very interesting anomaly much like the development of cranunculations on an echeveria.
Laura, there seems to be a lot of shade in different areas of this client’s yard. Can you please name some good succs for shady areas? (Other than bromeliads.)
Looks amazing! I'll take some cuttings lol everytime I see you go thru your aeoniums I gasp!! im out east :). Just Kidding it's beautiful love yalls work it always turns out amazing!!
Just wondering why you didn't cut the echevaria sea dragon's stem and reset it like you've done with other echevarias? It left a big long stem which I know you normally do not like to see.
It’s worked so hard to get to where it is (sitting on those rocks in the sunshine) that I didn’t have the heart to disturb it❤️ Not a design decision, but an emotional one😊
Crassula ovata. 'argentea' is synonym but argentea indicates silveryness, and we don't want to 'confuse' with Crassula arborescens, i.e. silver dollar jade.
Ohhh goodness I think mine is dead 💀 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤣 if I trim it is there a chance I can save it ? I live in south Louisiana and my sticks on fire was about 5 ft before the crazy winter weather hit. The whole plant is brown 🥶
“Ball-sacky” -this is why I love you all. The snickering in the back was perfect. DFS FOREVER!
You might wanna write that down. Meanwhile, the garden answer woman won’t even say it. 🙄 DFS FOREVER!

You crack me up Laura 🤣 this was one of my favorite videos the yard is so amazing
Another great maintenance video. Love those barrels. Would be interesting to see how some of these landscapes look at night with garden lighting
I love how free you are. Your personality is soooo much better than the other garden videos I watch.
I learned to 'stage' broken pots from you, Laura, although I also do a lot of re-gluing, if possible. The re-staging has saved me a lot of tears when one of my favorites breaks. Thanks for this, and many other great tips.
We'd love to see a time lapse of the cutting and resetting of the plants!
Thanks for sharing this was beautiful a lot of work 🤗🤗🤗🤗👏👏👏👏💚🌵
The creek bed is awesome with that bridge.. love that!
You whipped that garden into shape, it looks lovely!
Moral of the story, don't lie to Laura 😋 Love the clean up. It looks like a whole new garden!

Hi Laura, greetings from Buenos Aires ❤️
Appreciate your daily videos. Nice way to start my day. Keep up your positivity. Appreciate the extra time you and your crew spend to create these.

Lovely installation as always! Greetings from the Philippines
The bed on the side of the bench was left a little wild...nice to see the way the technique changed, great work
This woman is so loveable!
Laura works her wonders as usual.
Anyone else wish they could take all those cuttings that get removed?
Omg, I live in Canada and succulents here are soo expensive

Thank you!!! And, yes, I thought the same thing! Talavera is needed!
In love always with all your hardwork. Go Laura & team. I was wondering, if and how can you remove the baby barrels from the mother plant?
You can crack them off, but I like the look of them stuck to their mama😊
I was wondering that too! Now I want to know what crack them off means lol
Always love your arranging styles..a fan from the Philippines 🤩
Another amazing maintenance 👌🏼
I’d love to come see that yard in person, I’m also in the Vista area of Oceanside.
Laura, thanks for more ideas
Laura can you explain what it means when a plant crests? I think it looks odd but you make it sound like it’s a special thing!
No one knows exactly what inspires a plant to crest. Basically is a selective cell mutation that causes a distortion in the growth/shape of the trunk and leaves.
It’s a very interesting anomaly much like the development of cranunculations on an echeveria.
Beautiful yard!!❤️❤️
ayy oceanside getting some love ! yay lol
Love this much. 👍
some of the little bits 5-7?of orange sedums would have looked cute where the big plant was taken out?
Woo hoo!!! ❤ I got my shirt!
Looks amazing x
Laura, there seems to be a lot of shade in different areas of this client’s yard. Can you please name some good succs for shady areas? (Other than bromeliads.)
Sansevieria!
I have a west facing front yard what do you recommend to plant in the succulents.
When you removed the yellow spires, I hope you gave them to the owner to put in a vase and enjoy.
Laura, you removed the crested aeonium. Did you just stick it back in the ground somewhere or does it need to develop some roots first?
Just stuck it back in the ground! Can you spot it at the end of the video? It’s near the mouth of the dry stream.
🤩 minute 14:45- Thanks Hannah for the close up. 😃
Jealous jealous jealous.😍
Number one 💚
Looks amazing! I'll take some cuttings lol everytime I see you go thru your aeoniums I gasp!! im out east :). Just Kidding it's beautiful love yalls work it always turns out amazing!!

How much cold can crassula take.
Looks amazing! I just wanted to ask why was that donated plant in a plastic bag?
Client had saved it from the back yard in case I wanted to incorporate it in the front. I didn’t.
Looks good
😍😍😍😍😍
How to make a plant grow up.. and so big like you plant
Crassula ovata. 'argentea' is synonym but argentea indicates silveryness, and we don't want to 'confuse' with Crassula arborescens, i.e. silver dollar jade.
I am your new subscriber!
I am not UA-cam savvy!
I am just figuring it out .....
Thanks for subscribing and welcome!!
🌵🥰
Nice.....
ㅎㅎ
반갑습니다 😁
I don't understand why you can stand messy aeoniums, they are the only succulent I don't really like because it's so messy at times
What happens when sticks on fire freeze ? Do they die or will it come back ?
Depends on how much of the plant was affected.
@@Thejakefaul cut it back hard (to the ground) and wait 🙏
Thank you 🙏🏼
What causes that strange “ballsackey” growth on the beautiful echeveria? Is that really the scientific term? 😁😁😁
It’s a harmless virus. The real scientific term is cranunculated. I like ballsackie better😁
I’ll take the jade you took out! 😢
Love the jokes.
Does anyone know where I could purchase alone fan
Botanical name is aloe plicitilis. Waterwise Botanicals has a bunch of 3 gallons right now.
