+bcse.rccr That corner is a very fast uphill and downhill righthander :) It is one of the most famous corners from the Zandvoort race track. It is called Scheivlak corner. It also has its own channel: ScheivlakTV :)
It’s a “decompression zone.” Coming over the crest, the cars get light and lose grip. Add the lateral G’s that the car is still experiencing coming out of the apex from the last corner, and the cars backend will want to swap ends on you. Or, if one carries too much speed coming out of the apex, the car could also just skate straight off the track once it hits the decompression zone and loses all its grip. However, it’s actually quite manageable if one has even the most rudimentary experience in racing. These are just a bunch of old rich guys (doctors, lawyers… etc.) who “think” they can race. Quite typical of Vintage Racing.

He was lucky that it was at the end of the corner. Imagine that at the end of the main straight.
Chiel heb jij ook het stukje gefilmd waar de marshal met bord moest wegspringen bij post 9 ?
+Roy Seitz , nee helaas niet, er werd toen al met geel gezwaaid en het safety-car bord was uit, dus had niet verwacht day er nog auto's zouden crashen
