The key word to Meet Kevins correspondence is "confrontation". I might reply to someone wanting a conversation to reach an understanding but confrontation means a fight from the get go. That's a real big no thanks!

as for meet kevin, i would do the same thing that you did, politely decline. I stopped watching his channel when he started pushing his house hack and bought his airplane with his thought that flying around his airplane was going to increase his chances to strike good deals for house hack. In my opinion hh is close to a Ponzi scheme, I would never trust him with my money. His channel is mostly about how to help him increase his profits by selling his viewers on something that he already owns. I never watch youtube on TV.
I would say why do you need to go state side. Just ask him to hop on his private jet and fly over to you. He could write it off as expense for his content. On a side note, why do you even need to meet face to face? You could always do a video conference and stream it on air. Why do he want to be close up and personal with you. That sounds sus.

I watch all your videos on TV. I like UA-cam because the commercials are short and sometimes I can skip them. I also like reading people’s responses to UA-cam videos. I don’t know if you should confront Meet Kevin or not but what’s apparent is that you are getting noticed which I’m sure Meet Kevin is unhappy about.
I think a lot of people are tired of Meet Kevin. He's getting lonely and looking for new friends. I don't blame you not wanting to meet with him. I think Jesus Christ might feel the same way about Kevin. When I was in high school (50 years ago), gas was 50 cents a gallon. We could go cruising with $2.00 on the weekend. Cigarettes were 50 to 55 cents a pack. When I was a kid, comics were 12 cents, it was 10 cents earlier, gum was 5 cents a pack of 5. When I graduated high school, minimum was $2.00.
Psychologically it's always so hard to adjust to new prices.

The thing is honestly Kevin should have put a smile emoji or something in that message if he meant it playfully because it actually could be taken as a veiled threat or challenge.
The context is open to interpretation and especially in cases like this you shouldn't really leave something like that so open.
Personally if Kevin was trying to clear up some sort of misunderstanding he should have just sent the one message explaining what really happened or whatever clarification he felt he needed to make and then after that there was no need to respond further.
By using the word confrontation it gives an impression of wanting to potentially escalate things.
Again this could be accidental but especially over text it is very important to try and be as clear as possible since you cannot hear a person's emotional state and ascertain intent by hearing their voice.

You know a person really should not make a threat to sue or threats generally when they themselves publicly provide content and evidence that could be used against them in a court case.
I have never even watched or read anything that Kevin has posted or published but I'm willing to bet it would be easy to find instances where he has self-owned.
Some people especially in the US treat lawsuits like a toy to be swung around.
Probably. After all, they could always talk over the phone or Skype or something. WHy would they both have to be in America to just talk.
My response to Meet Kevin, “thanks for watching my videos”. I remember when a guy with a truck load of corn would park in front of my family business and sell them 20/ $1, gum use to be a nickel, and it only cost a quarter to make a call. Do people even know what a quarter is?
Amazon is also thinking about making their own cargo ships.

Regarding your response to Kevin, I probably would have done exactly the same thing which is the politely decline any interaction.
My motto is if you are not the type of person that I would feel comfortable inviting to my house for dinner and have around my family then I really should not be engaging with you outside of absolute necessity.
That being said I guess I have now inadvertently declared to the world that so far Chris you seem like the type of person I wouldn't mind having over for dinner with my family. 😂

The cost of food is a huge issue.
To be fair, if you use the mcdonalds app, a big mac, medium fries and medium drink is only 7 dollars where I'm at in southern california. Somehow, it's become the cheapest food around outside of making food yourself.

The US enjoys a huge influx of intelligent people from the rest of the world (due to earnings power, democratic rights and freedoms and English/universal language). Big brain drains from India, China and Western countries like Canada.
Anyone can make it big in the US regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or sex.
CEO of Microsoft born in India.
CEO of Nvidia born in Taiwan.
CEO of Google born in India.
Etc.

I have a 23 inch 4K monitor for my computer use. I never use a phone except to talk to people. I do not have the access to any fast connection to link to my TVs.. When I need something I need it now, not in weeks from now. No sane person will put up with something that is broken for weeks to get the repair or replacement part. I travel full time, but only in the lower 48 in the USA and not either coast as those folks are insane. I will never visit a place worse than my ancestors left to come to the US. So Asia is out. Europe is insane, and most of the rest of the world is just plain dangerous.
