The Blood is an encounter card in its purest form: An actual copy-paste job of the source material with zero desire to build upon anything.
The Blood was just Vermillion with a crit so now Encounter The Blood is Vermillion with a Crit and it didn't go any further than that.
TBF, I think just copy-pasting their original effects without much innovation is the point. Encounter cards are visions of the units as they existed 3000 years ago, and when an Encounter card *really* needs a radical overhaul to be semi-relevant in Standard, it *usually* gets one (the only ones that come to mind where they needed that radical redesign but didn't get one are PBD, Maelstrom, and MLB).
@@HunterStiles651 naru got a lot of good and iconic unit , like vanquisher, gbd ,decendent, vowing family. Any of them is good enough to represent the clan.

Maybe a promo later down the line that put itself into soul after it attacks and gives Vermillion another target to attack can help with resources and control

@mcmegane9183 definitely. Vermillion main here. BLOOD went from a D tier to a B tier at least. Really wish BLOOD copied OG Vermillion in soul skill to he could attack at least 4 units and that would had put him on another level
The deck does not have a Soul issue.
It solely has an issue with digging for combo pieces. Mainly only Phoenix at this point.
Correct. as I said in the Vid, Kashin should have been able to get any Narukami units and not just Vermillion stuff with that restriction
the fact tthat Maelstrom is able to still use the og as an attacker while still getting his own abilities. The blood? Nope. He's running more bricks in a deck that doesn't have enough consistency to warrant it. I've actively went through entire games without getting any of the G2 or og vermillion even with them being at 4 and 3 respectively basically meaning I'm just not able to use the blood himself and it's so so annoying. I really hope for a future card, Crimson maybe, that lets you just straight search and put og vermillion straight into soul from deck or damage zone or even just drop zone so you have a ride discard target idk, then have better pressure, maybe a power boost and crit along with binding itself so it procs phoenix

Give it a crit and some power and call it a day. I knew it would happen. The memes couldnt be stopped. Kai'a worst boss monster yet one of the hypest.
What upsets me is they didn't even TRY to make The Blood more centered around controlling the board. If you weren't going to give the deck scaling power to their front row like you did with Maelstrom, you could've at least made it so the deck could actually meet the conditions for Eternal Thunderbolt's power boost consistently. All the new Narukami RGs are there solely to make the deck slightly more consistent by giving it more draw power and ways to bind the Phoenix before your VG attacks so you can apply triggers to the bird more consistently. But applying triggers to the bird only matters because the deck has an overall power issue for all their attacks. So why not just fix the power issue, and kill 2 birds with 1 stone? The solution is scaling power, that's why the deck needed it. Give it scaling power and you can finally stop printing +5k to every future Narukami card.
The other thing is...really? You're going to lock the 5k power boost for RGs behind your opponent being G3 or greater? Do you see the things other decks can do turn 3 without being locked behind your opponent being at G3? Bushi went 1 step forward and 2 steps back with these new cards. Hell, make that even 3-4 steps back.
I wish they made him can board wipe opps field, maybe like "If you used Eternal Thunderbolt this turn when this unit attacks it can target two more units."
Or if there are no rear guards on your opponent's side of the field, they cannot call G1 or above to Guardian Circle. I think this is all fair.
at the point this guy require tons of grade 3 to function normal is sucks. when keter is first introduce , although given them to fill up grade 3 but the power is aggressive. the blood deck do not give monster column in today environment even they are require a lot of grade 3 in the deck . do remember the blood is a cross ride which is same with the end and phantom blaster overload. it should be able to cover some of their previous form main weakness. the end did and phantom did as well even the glory came in the same set provide good job . The blood is always bad no matter in what series , if bushi want to rebot the system please dont give vermillion as narukami represent again .

@@youthberktempest I wouldn't call him trash tbh coz he still works as he is based on a decent base which is Vermillion. It's just that the blood only brings crit to the table, he doesn't deviate the play style drastically like what we see with certain Masque Decks and hence mid

@@Stup1d0zz in the current environment if the deck cant function if the key piece not found , the deck is consider suck, no matter how good if the combo is done. you cant be lucky for every game. The deck fault tolerance is very low, if one of the key piece cant be get in early game , the game is done.
