Always an interesting topic! To get part 103, you had to stay within 253lbs total vehicle weight. With a 200lb pilot you’re lifting 453lbs. With a required 3x1 thrust to weight, that’s about 1350 lbs of max thrust. Which EDF did you go with? Ones I found weigh 6lbs and generate 50lbs thrust. 27 of those would be needed - 162lbs. You have 91lbs left for batteries, electronics, and airframe. Can you give more info on what your actual weight breakdown looks like?
Beautiful concept but, you can't technically call this a car if there's no wheels to drive around on when you land. Are we supposed to Uber from the landing point?
I disagree with you, Friend. Car stands for Carriage. To carry. Once performed by slaves. Automobile is another version yet it propels itself. This, despite wheels is the same. I doubt it is feasible. Moller spent decades on his Aircar using Volantor vanes and Rotary powerplants to drive ducted fans through them. He was where this vid is 3 Decades ago.
flying cars, robots, embedded AI, starship launches, reasoning AI, brains in jars and on chips.Even the climate wars are starting, so much gold this year
Lovely display of someone’s computer rendering skills. You might want to hold back on that catch phrase until some time in the distant future when it’s not a blatant lie.
Can we have less dreaming and more reality? People have been dreaming about flying cars for ages. Build one, then present the real thing. This kind of vision is so overpromised that it's lost most of its allure by now.
Hi LEO Flight, your concept design is absolutely stunning, and it’s exciting to see such innovation in personal air mobility! One question that comes to mind, though, is about the noise levels of the ~90 electric jet propulsion engines. How quiet are they during operation, especially in urban settings? Also, while the premium design of the LEO Coupe looks fantastic, I’d encourage you to consider a more accessible version in the future. A flying car priced at, say, $500,000 (just an assumption) would likely be out of reach for most people. A slightly less "luxurious" design could help bring this incredible technology to a wider audience. Looking forward to seeing your progress! 😊
As an observer, I can tell you that electric jets make much less noise than combustion jets. People in buildings will probably not hear the vehicle, except maybe when it is landing in a parking space (when at least the people outdoors will hear the wind and some motor hum). I don't pretend to know exactly how loud their design is, just give a gist of the difference.
@@barnabasthurman3691 However, experience has shown that electric turbines/fans with a small diameter of 80-100 mm make a lot of noise, even if they are optimised. These here are also extremely boosted and must certainly perform 10 times as much as a small graphics card fan. I therefore assume that 90 vertical fans and two dozen larger horizontal fans will make a lot of noise. My little drone already makes an incredible amount of noise and it only has to lift 300 grams with 4 large fans...
I like it. You need fans running in the opposite direction to maintain or compensate the balance and control. It will be like two springs acting in opposite directions.
In reality congested air traffic jam are unavoidable which air-cident does happen. Artist always drown in DREAM with calm peaceful environment of traveling condition but once the air space are crowded with lots of flying cars, there you go....crashes here and there 😅
I didn't get to hear how loud this thing is. With all those clustered electric Jets it's got to be pretty loud. Wouldn't you think do the people you fly up next to when you're parking in that parking lot? Did they give a shit how loud it is
This is one of the most simplified designs I’ve seen so far as flying cars are concerned. Although it only flies, and not drives, which I think for the most part is great for point to point travel, and not worry about needing road driving. From the landing point, you could use public transit in the city. I love the Leo Solo. It would be great to get around from home to the big city. The only thing I can see as a huge hurdle is the infrastructure for the charging pads. And I’m sure the cost of this flying car will be prohibitive. Still, this seems to have potential once you have a full working model to show. Best of luck!
It is the most beautiful EVTOL design ever presented. When and if it is actually produced, it will be the most desired personal aircraft in the world!!!
These are some of the best looking flying car concepts l have ever seen. As for your flight test, you should use a gyro software for balancing & stabilizing the vehicle in the air. The same type of gyro software used in drones & quadcopters. If l am correct, it is called something like Aduino.
I honestly prefer the working Prototype than the Meta Human Unreal Engine 5 Concept, mainly because it looks more reasonable and shows you are working on making this device become a reality. Do I expect to see this in the next 5 - 10 years? Nope, I give it till 2043 before vehicles like this become common place. But do I think it has promise? Yeah, just curb your vision a bit and make the best product you can make with the limitations, because with that, you can make something look BETTER than the concept and something that'll actually function better too
Because the story of flying cars is a story that has been told thousands of times, and so far, there has never been a happy ending. 99% chance this company fails just like all the rest.
@@specialticket1122 There are countless reasons why this is absolute nonsense. Countless. Start with the fact that it is a flying car. 9/11 ring a bell? This ain't gonna happen, chief. Not for a loooooooong loooong time.

takes off and lands like a helicopter ? flies like a plane? wtf ? flying cars is the dumbest thing ever so now instead of car crashes we going to have idiots flying into ppls houses and offices , will they have to have a pilots license? will there be a whole new air traffic control system 100x larger than the one needed for airports ? will there need to be new and much much more insurance for not only the ppl who have flying cars but for everyone else too ? this and many more reasons is why this has always been and should always stay a fantasy !
The dumbness. High disc loading will limit range and a ballistic parachute is uncontrollable in an emergency. This is why you don't let half baked artists near a business. FARA and the FAA are very stringent.
What you have is interesting but technology doesn’t happen overnight. It might realistically take 15 years or more to finalize the design for production purposes.
A complete scam and impossible to be even remotely viable or safe, a testament to just how much CGI and CAD has gotten ahead of simple nous . None of the proponents can have any aviatiln or flying experience or expertise.
I love the video but think about it long and hard. If you can't show it in action. Then it's not real. If it's coming soon great. That's cool. The. we'll see until then.
I think this is a cool concept. However, with all the FAA regulations in place, even simple things like drone delivery are a challenge. So I don't think we'll see one in the US flying for personal use before a Chinese company has one fully operational.
Oh I missed it. It has a tail light bar too that nobody's ever going to use for anything cuz we need to add more weight. Maybe you can add some lead weights just for the fuck of it
tl;dw cgi investor bait til ~4:17, trying to use clustered propulsion (bunch of thrusters) , actual "manned" flight 5:06. Other than a 5 second clip with a person this could just be drones in a silver painted foam chassis.
It's all fun and games until the engine stalls or the pilots's blood alcohol limit got passed before they fly. Not like this will be used by anyone other than the ultra rich anyway 🙄
Why does it need an LED light bar across the front? It's not for lighting. It's not for visibility. It's just there for aesthetics cuz things that fly need extra weight right
It’s So fucking loud, you need ear protection. And if the wind is above 15 knots it’s advise not to fly, the air space is always restricted. Buy now before it gets super regulated 😢
question: sound levels suggestion: Instead of purely relying on an fpv drone style control, use ai to stabilize and control some of the speed and accelerations.
Without a flight controller and stabilization this would never have flown to begin with. AI is about making decisions, but all that’s needed here is stability, which is pretty simple. $90 flight controllers already do this in multi-rotor drones just like they can do it here. That’s probably the approach they took - use off the shelf controller controlling banks of EDFs. Simpler to do than building your own to control each EDF independently.
So you've solved the two big problems of flying cars wow. So no matter what the car can't just fall out of the sky and kill everybody? And you figured out a way to make Lanes in the sky that people can see? When you make a video explaining those two things, I'll come back and watch it. Till then, do you know how many of these I've seen not one person is coming up with anything that remedies those two problems
