- Taking place a while after the Open Up Your Eyes MAP timeline; Crowsong looks back at her past self as she in sorrow and hurt opens a glimpse of her true feelings of regret, longing and remorse to the young Ashkit.
Although he feels sorry and partially at fault for her turning out this way he also can't help but look at the harm she inflicted upon him too. All whilst still unaware of the fact that he wasn't the only one to be killed by her claws.

F.A.Q: to help clarify those who aren’t caught up on the story!
- Where can I read her story; I haven’t written it all out and only a small percentage of the story has been revealed! I’m working on telling her story through animations etc! But you can find lots of lore on the character pages as well as a short summary linked in the description!
- How are Crowsong & Ashkit related?: they’re cousins!
- Why is Ashkit in the dark forest?: My headcanon goes that cats true motive decides wether they go to starclan or not, Ashkit is so young and it’s all very much more black and white in his eyes, he blames himself for not helping crow even though he knew she suffered! He thinks he’s the reason she ended up like this and that he can’t possible join starclan because of it! Because he was the first do be killed he doesn’t know the true extent of Crowsong’s rampage.
- what happened to the Nothing Left To Lose project? It’s still in works, me and the team don’t have time to focus on it at the moment, nor do I want it out too soon as it reveals a lot of stuff I’d rather wait to show later on! :3 but it will be done eventually!
- How did Crowsong get her dark pelt? Again very long story that will be told but summarised is that she fulfilled the prophecy of killing her clan and the black water from the dark forest finally made her pelt eternally dark. Albeit she expected the rest of the clan to be in the dark forest and fully let her be a part of the clan at last.
And to clarify the last scene if anyone was confused: Ashkit reveals the bite mark on his throat from Crowsong’s attack! Looking forward to animating the event in the future :,)
The bite mark on Ashkits neck is a really interesting detail and its really cool how much time and effort you put into your characters and their backstories and personalities. Crowsong’s story is one of the best stories I’ve ever seen!

Honestly, sometimes I forget Crowsong is an OC. I could never imagine a MAP about my own characters, it's so amazing how far you've come. Everyone did great, you all should feel proud.

@@-camcam_ You're taking it too literally. xD They mean that if they wanted to make a MAP about their own OCs, people wouldn't join because it's very unusual for MAPs to JUST focus on one person's OC.
Oh my god, Ashkit having a bite scar near his chest from when Crowsong killed him must suck so bad to have. It’s like a reminder of something that Crow wishes to reverse, at least for him, but can’t. And with Ashkit feeling guilty over believing he should’ve done more for Crow, it’s a mark he has to learn to deal and come to terms with. It’s such a good detail to include but it hurts so much.
I still cant believe he's in the df tbh. He's just a kit...

the fact that crowsong feels bad for what she did to ashkit makes her, to me at least, somewhat sympathetic. she feels regretful for her actions, and she knows she can't change what she did. truly one of my favorite villain warrior cat ocs
hopefully thats the case. But I guess we still dont know the extent of her guilt, she might not care about the rest of her clan.... Im pretty iffy about her, personally. I just want little Ashkit to be in Starclan like he deserves ):

Omg, it hasn’t even started yet but I already know it’s going to be BEAUTIFUL. The animators worked so hard on this and the thumbnail is gorgeous too. I just love how much thought you have put into her character Louixie, and the backstory is so deep and complex. Great job everyone!!! ❤️😁

Seeing Crowsong wrap her tail around Ashkit makes me wanna cry 😭
Crowsong’s backstory is incredible. The last part where Ashkit shows his scar where Crowsong bit him got me very intrigued, and I actually repeated the scene a million times. I have been watching the progress of this MAP and waiting for it to come out, and it turned out very nice! Hoping for more MAPs of Crowsong’s story!
Another brilliant MAP & animation; I assume that Crowsong just regrets killing Ashkit the most? Is there any other reason for this?
This is amazing! I love the mood, and at the end with the bite mark? It really shows how hardcore Crowsong was with the massacre. Literal chills.
One thing I wonder is why they gave her the name Crowkit if she was an albino. Did Weepingwind give it to her in hopes that she’d be accepted by the clan? Did Raveneye give it to her to remind her that she’d never be apart of the clan? I read her Toyhouse and the part about her name being a metaphor to how corvids don’t sound pleasant although they’re songbirds, and how she’d never really be apart of the clan. She looks the part later after changing her fur, but I still wonder about when she was born.
That's a good question. Why name her after the corvids if she was never accepted by the clan in the first place?
Maybe it's because the Crows wanted her to live. Her father tried to kill her but they showed signs that demanded her to stay. Saved by crows, therefore she's named Crowkit perhaps
She was named Crowsong because a crows song is considered very ugly, especially amongst the songs of other songbirds.
@@cheeselizard I think that's the reason why Louxie named her Crowsong, but not necessarily the reason her family gave her that name in-canon.
Albino crows have a low survival chance in the wild.
THIS MAP GAVE ME CHILLS LITERAL CHILLS, EVERYONE DID SOO GOOD AND THE AFTER CREDITS SCENE… MAN OH MAN PROPS TO EVERYONE PARTICIPATING!! AND LOU!! WELL DONE FOR EVERYTHING ON TIME AND ORGANIZING IT..
Your storytelling abilities are absolutely PHENOMENAL lou. I literally forget that this is a character you made for this universe like an AU, like I feel as though it fits right in with all the other warrior cat stories and might actually be better constructed than the canon stories. I can't get enough of your work and you picked some incredible people to help put this little story teller together. You really are something special!

Something about the transition at 0:31 is so haunting. From a tiny, innocent kitten simply wanting the love of her mother to a grown, battle-scarred killer in hell for the murder of everyone who rejected her. Such a sweet song in such a dark, hopeless setting is really making me mourn the cat Crowsong could've become. Really amazing choice of song and visuals, louixie, this is my fave dark forest animation you've ever put together ;_;
I just KNOW this is gonna be one of the most beautiful Warriors projects ever!! I’m so happy how Crowsong has evolved, she’s such an interesting character! ❤️❤️❤️

Crowsong's story is so sad and wholesome, and I love the song choice for this MAP. I love the voice of the girl who sang that was represented by young Crowsong

I absolutely loved seeing the other corvidclan cats in this map. I love all the cats so much and it's so cool to see a different perspective to the crowsong story. I can't wait to see even more of it! Everyone did AMAZING and this came out so beautiful. (Not to mention that thumbnail UGH 😭🤧💕)

Absolutely TYSM! I have an entire UA-cam playlist with everyone’s works saved^^ I’m just not keen on people making AUs or headcanons, but using information that has been revealed is absolutely alright!
Holy goodness that was so GOOD!! And that ending has me in so many questions in a good wayy!! I've never been this hooked on a fanmade series before, your storytelling and visual skills are phenomenal aaaAA 👏 fantastic work!! :DD This just inspires me to keep going in my stories as well!
Oh, and I also want to mention seeing crowsong animated in different styles was really awesome!! Everyone did so well and there are so many talented animators here that it's almost intimidating to see but fascinating nonetheless!!

Haven't seen the MAP yet but I'm so happy I caught this notif in time, the thumbnail and the WIPs I've seen make me beyond excited to see the result in a couple of minutes. It's been finished so fast and as always I love to see more Crowsong content. I'm sure you won't disappoint us!
Edit: Just as expected, this MAP is gorgeous and all of the art is lovely. The song fits perfectly with Crowsong's story and I love the general feeling that this MAP gives. The small details - Crowsong's expression throughout her adult singing portion, Ashkit's hesitant but sorrowed body language, and Crowsong actually owning up to what she did honestly shocked me a little - but it's welcome and protrayed wonderfully. The fact that Ashkit has a bite mark wound on his chest from where Crowsong had killed him is heartbreaking but a very interesting detail given the nature of this MAP. He can - and never will - forget what she's done to him.
Let me guess CrowSong History, hrs a white cat in a black cats clan, and she not being accept by her mother and the others right?
The ending with the mark makes this even more sad, you can really see that even though she isn't always kind, the poor kit is still trying to connect with her. *insert sobbing* very good map, it was so pretty!!
You know, I think Crowsong had a genuinely good heart, but the way she was raised and how she was manipulated led her down the wrong path. From the MAPs I’ve seen of her, and all the other things, I feel like she genuinely regrets what she did, not just because of the consequences, but I think she feels guilty.

Just finished watching the premiere!! Gosh , even if i’ve seen all the wips from the map server , seeing them together in this beautiful narrative is just so so wonderful and emotional,, truly you all did an amazing job for this MAP 💕

I still cant get over a fact that everyone did such a great job and so quickly near to the deadline, and it all looks so stunning!!! Every time i rewatch it makes my heart really warm seeing everything what we've done together.
Additionaly I CRIED SO BADLY when i saw Crowkits scar after Crowsongs past attack. And seeing Crowsong having those emotions makes my heart crashing, and seeing that she is realizing what she has done is wrong. Really great work!!
Crowsong regrets her choices? But then again she isn’t a soulless monster. She is a cat that was shunned and hurt during her time in Corvidclan, and in the end snapped.
I feel so bad for her. I know she committed Clanicide, but I feel like if she had a true chance to escape her clan, she would have been a wonderful cat.

I just watched the map and i absolutely love it! I love Crowsong's story so much, the map came out beaultiful with all the diferent animators each with their unique style and the end scene is so toutching to see Crowsong apologizing to Ashkit for what she did to him and Ashkit still likes her either way.
Edit: So sry i confused Ashkit's name with Crowkit's.
