We've been led to believe that the flavor and aroma compounds with these strains remain in place and/or decrease similarly to any other regular yeast strain. If kept healthy and used properly, I think you should be able to easily get multiple generations with similar characteristics.
Cool video! I’m definitely going to check out these yeasts but you could have made it more clear which beer they were tasting and talking about. Some of the employees were using “this one” to describe both beers and it got kind of annoying to keep track of.
Yeah, I feel ya. I tried to set the scene by explaining which beer was in which hand and was being called A and B, but I realize that sometimes their hands were down as they spoke. First time doing this sort of Pepsi Challenge setup at the warehouse. Next time I'll consider framing wider so you see their hands the whole time. Or put text on screen that says which one is being talked about. That just seemed almost borderline distracting as I was editing, but clearly it sounds like you're saying it would've helped. Thanks for the feedback! (Chip)
Brew your own adventure! Try a side-by-side homebrew project with Omega Yeast's Thiolized Series strains: bit.ly/3KnwLUQ
Do the thiolized yeasts lose any taste characteristics if reused?
