Best set ever, the energy in the atmosphere transmutes through the screen, it’s gorgeous
Not even close to best ever. You should of seen the later 90s. This generic psy sound is so predictable and washed out. Have a listen to D.K.N. & James Monro - TIP Records & Flying Rhino Records Special Mix from 1998, just for a start. Way cooler and more psychedelic than this hard tech genericness.

What I'm about to say is a game changer for the DJ and the dance...
20 years ago and hard into the bickies and a lover of ableton live 5.
All the 'how to' vids available now are still a glimpse of what's really going on.
They all talk in bars, the basic listener can't count in bars, I use to teach people while off chopps to count the 'beats' after a drop, notice what happens at the 16th beat, 32 and the 64th and especially the 128th.
I'm still surprised that no-one in their sets has the beat count down displayed on a screen, this will help the audience to dance beyond the 'beat', predict whats coming from the infinite variables of what's brought in and fallen out.
To jump into the drop rather than wait for it to start moving.
This whole set was pre-recorded, sweet tunes from a production point of view, but you blokes just pressed play!

Why Ozora puts security guards right in front of the stage ? That's a vibe killer out there
I think they have to do that because it's required by the authorities. In the past there was also the aisle on the main stage in the middle, which divided the floor. It was only abolished in 2022 after an agreement was reached with the authorities.
Probably to prevent crazy fans like me climbing up to hug them deeejaaays.

Guards are a vibe killer only because ~half of them are absolute douchebags. Last year I slept for 2 hours on the balcony of the dragon nest stage and one of them started literally yelling at the 3 of us the moment we woke up, saying it's not allowed xD We probably took his spot where he wanted to hide to sleep at work aahhaha.
On a more serious note: from what I know this specific security company is hired as part of the deal the organizers had to make with the government after the police raid in 2012, so somebody in the government can make $. It's really too bad because there is a ton of people who actually want to work there as security
