- In this video we stumble upon an abandoned structure that was located near an area that we were filming. Upon closer inspection, we realized this was an abandoned Cement/Concrete plant. Although the company is still in business today, they outgrew this location and it still sits here today. So come along with me as explore this abandoned cement plant. Enjoy

Please Note: Exploring Abandoned locations can be dangerous. I don't condone or encourage anyone to enter an Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission. I simply go to document its history before it's gone and leave things the way I find them. I assume all the risks & responsibility in doing so. Please don't attempt to do this on your own.

Jay, you always have the best places! 👍👍👍💝💝💝
Very cool find
Very interesting, thank you !
Think Ive seen this one before from the road, thanks for getting some footage!!
The stone and sand were weighed out in the hoppers and the cement in a separate hopper. You pictured the hoppers on the second floor. Once the proper material weights were obtained for the cubic yards required all of the material was dropped into the mixer truck below along with the proper amount of water. A cubic yard of dry concrete mix will generally weigh 3875#. Batch man at a local concrete plant for several years.
Absoutly enjoy all your videos,on u tube!👍❤
This is a sweet video JPVideos 😍. I love abandoned places!
Nice find!
That was a cool find. Never seen inside a place like that.
Cool find!
Part 3 of 3 event day. Very cool exploration. Lots of fun getting together for these explorations
This exploring abandoned places is addicting. Thanks for taking us with you! I’m hooked.
My pleasure
JP, awesome and cool abandoned cement plant! Really enjoyed your video.
Thanks
Different type of explore 👍
nice find
That is a old school concrete batch plant. Good find!!!
Ty
That radio station license could have been for radios that they had in their company vehicles and trucks because I know a friend of mine who owns an auto junkyard back in the early days he used to have a radio station before they had all the cell phones real good and everything and they had the high-powered radios in his office and the wrecker trucks so he can talk to them that's probably what that was for here to
great roadside find
Love the parting shot of bare trees silhouetted by the setting sun, which I have heard referred to as 'the golden hour'.
Ty
Good to see a abanded place who is not so vandaliced and free for grafitti. Good video and a interessante place. 👍
Ty
Very interesting video. Thanks.
You're welcome
I know exactly where this is! Driven by here countless times, as this is near my neck of the woods, but I always passed up exploring it, figuring there probably wasn't much to see. Damn, was I wrong!
Go check it out. Just be careful.
Nice find and explore. Gave thumbs up as always
Hey stranger haha
@@JPVideos81 sorry I have been slacking on the JP band wagon, new job interferes with my usual JP time... Lol
I love them old places there's a couple old cement plants up here that are abandoned
Very interesting tour ...glad you were with the gang and not alone. .I learn something everytime I watch a JPVideo : )
😊💙
This is really interesting, but it's weird they just left all that equipment and papers behind when the expanded. Good find Jay I really enjoyed it.
I was suprised to find so much left, but by todays standards... its all outdated.
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving
Very interesting .sure Id never see inside one otherwise. Enjoy your pictures too.
😊
Always wondered what that place was just outside of tamaqua. Neat!
Pretty neat find
One hopper for sand and the other for aggregate which is loaded by a loader and there is a cement silo in the plant, some plants have aggregate and sand silos.
Thanks for sharing
Hot water and Reocrete tanks. Cool little batch plant, probley made some one a millions of dollars
I always feel guilty looking thru other people's paper work. thanks for the video, I liked it.
This location made for some gorgeous shots! Nice find, and thanks for sharing.
I learned about cement today. 🤓 That was some retro dot matrix printing paper.
Very interesting find! Love to see & learn about different places. Think you found your toy -that control board with all those cool buttons for Jay to play!! :)
Yes! Lol
I would like to see some videos on abandoned, haunted hospitals, mental institutions or so-called morgues. Thanks!
Check out Jay's video section, he has some there. Jay does it all.
👻🖑
I film everything abandoned. There's hospitals, asylums and a funeral home on my channel.
Cool place!! It looks like they just closed one day and never went back 🤔 kinda weird if they’re still in business 🙃 Thanks guys for taking us along 👍🏻❤️
Sometimes its wiser to walk away than to pay for demolition.
Was dedicated a cool find and a nice end to the days adventures.
That was pretty cool jay. Some real good history lesson of the concrete place. Its a shame they just left everything there tho. Thanks for sharing jay.
👍💙
cool find didn't find a toy but there was bout everything eles lol. Learned a thanks
Hi JP i'm so glad i mentioned for you to create merch with your famous slogan on them .. If you find a toy its officially abandoned .. great video as ever sorry i haven't been watching and commenting i visited Florida from the UK and i ended up in the emergency room there with a blister on my foot which got worse over night and spread. It was infected bad but they lanced it and bandaged me up good as i was seen straight away its nothing like that here in England .. anyway i'm back now and back to watching your amazing videos .. Happy Christmas sweetheart to you and your wonderful family .. xx
Oh no. Glad to hear you're better and even better to hear from you again.
@@JPVideos81 aw thank you bless you Jason x
Nice find I wish I would have had better luck with a location that I just went to check out I just drove 103 miles to go check out a nice building that was in a good location but when I got there there was no point of entry so well chocolate one up for nothing but Urban exploring is like rolling the dice you never know what you're going to find her how lucky you'll get
Pretty much
A pretty cool find, shame there were no toys, even a little bear on a desk lol. Thanks for sharing. x
😁
👍Thanks Jay. Vert interesting find.
Yeah, cement works. We have one on the outskirts of town, still operating. 👍👍👍👍
That is a batch tower where the cement mixers go to get loaded up.
That's a nice find. It's great seeing you all out together having a good time.
I am not sure, but looks like a place that was used to deliver cement possibly for a road project, or to build something close by?
Look at that little its tilted
Thanks JP. That was a Cool Little Find. Take Care and Always Be Safe.
Ty
Looks like they walked off and left some usable stuff in there. 3:2:1 gravel, sand, cement? Thanks for the cool tour!
FCC license to have a two way VHF base station radio
I see a great way to conquer that height fear sir :)
Ill.pass lol
It's a concrete mixing plant.
Look up high and you should see an antenna for the radio system. Nice find, wonder what happened.
That’s an interesting roadside find! Thanks for the fun tour .😊
Very interesting find! I would have thought a concrete plant would be a much larger operation. You found 2 toys actually, the hard hat for Bob The Builder and the Control Panel! Lol Great video JP! Must be a lot of fun hanging out with guys who share the same interests as you. Take care and stay safe out there!!
Ive seen much larger ones. This one seems to be a smaller satellite location.
According to the information I found, Rock Hill Materials still exists. That is their old plant. There are two others one in Lehighton, PA and the other in Stroudsburg, PA - Info via www.rockhillconcrete.com/ It looks like their office is near 198 Pineapple Street in Catasauqua, PA it looks as if they just built a new location on that property as well if you look at google maps you can see all the concrete trucks and buildings
I believe i gave the same info in the video...
That place is down the road from my home and my son built a model of it from legos .
Awesome
Does the company plan on taking it down racing at that area and building something else do you know
Not that im aware.
I always enjoy watching videos you post and if those buttons work I'd be tempted to try them if it did turn on
Haha
Radio license cause they had radios in their trucks they could talk to.
I didnt know they required that. Thanks
@@JPVideos81 it's a business radio license like GMRS.
Those perty colored buttons and switches were just too much temptation..🤣🤣🤣🤣
Another sweet video JP..
😁
My ex-husband works for New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. (PA) This looks about right for one of their "older" concrete plants.
Great find. You did not find a toy or Christmas item. It is not abandoned lol
Haha
Location?
Near lansford
Was that Jimmy Hoffer's place back in the day? I'm not kidding. I wonder if gangsters visited places like that back in the day.
Jay found a 'TOY'...the once control board 😎 🖒 Jay;"I will now push some buttons 🖓🖓🖓 Why is the building 👀starting..... to ....shake👐?!
The crew; " J.P.!!!" (LOL) 🖐👻
@@samanthab1923 Oh I'm not laughing about that at all. You're right, I bet alot of them were used for shady purposes.
I was laughing thinking of Jay having fun with the once control board.
When my sister's kid years ago grad. from high school and we went to some Italian restaurant I made a remark that it looked like a meeting of Godfathers. My mother kicked my leg under the table, my sister's last name is Ruggerio. I got the hint.
Universal Atlas Cement (Buffington Harbor)
Why I'll look it up this place I found this place also that's abandoned in Pennsylvania
P.S. I subed some time ago.:)
Yes I would lol 😂
😁
First.😁
People still do that?
@@JPVideos81
Lmao.... idk why people do it, but I noticed I was the first one soooo.. lol.. Why not..🤣🤣🤣🤣
Definitely concrete plant the rest of the company is abandoned in the parking lot next to it.
That def was a neat roadside explore we luckily drove by. I enjoyed exploring this one a lot! ua-cam.com/video/B7Mk222X_q8/v-deo.html
